This is one of the best parking garages downtown. I like parking on the top deck of the garage. It…read morehas easy access to main part of the city. It's just a five minute walk to Plaza Signori and Palladian Basilica. On Thursdays you might have to sit in line for a few minutes to enter, but it's worth it. The outdoor market is on those days and the lot is often full in the morning. But there is usually a steady flow of people coming and going, so it doesn't take much time at all to get into the lot. We have parked there many times and haven't had any problems with our car being bothered or feeling like we aren't safe walking to and from.

A nifty little sign prior to the parking lot tells you how many spots are available in large, friendly numbers. If it's full, you can either wait in queue for a spot to open or continue on to the next parking lot. The lot consists of one covered level and a sun deck. Parking can be quite tight down under, but the fun never ends for feeling the upper level move as you maneuver around for a spot. With the exception of the perpetual migrant worker standing removed from but near the cash machine, who can sometimes be creepy at night, they are usually very helpful and will be thankful for whatever tip (for what? I don't know) you can give them. My thoughts on this are they are refugees here and don't have many options for them. They don't harass you like the stupid flower or squishy ball salesmen in the major cities. One other note that probably no one else has experienced.... It was a dark and stormy night, and the spousal unit and I had enjoyed watching the lightning and thunder play from our seat atop the basilica enjoying the overly-loved Aperol spritz. However, as we made our way back to our car, we found ourselves in the nasty beginning of the torrential storm. We arrived at Canove, and wifey asked me to fetch the car from atop the lot while she tried to figure out how to pay for the lost ticket (timing, right?). Migrant worker was nowhere around. Feeling like we were going to have to pay the full penalty rate, she's waiting for the person in front of her to finish paying when I pull up underneath the overhang so she doesn't get anymore wet. As she is stepping up to pay, ((((CRACK - BOOM))))) lightning hits the parking lot somewhere and knocks out the machine as well as the guard-arm thing. So now what? With no way to pay and no ticket to show, we call the number on the machine and just wait it out in the car, watching everyone else do the same thing. Eventually, we all queue up to depart should the matter be resolved, and about 20 minutes later, a migrant worker comes and starts trying to figure it out. In the onslaught of rain, he's manually taking everyone's ticket... as we pull up and give him the stupid shrug, he just waves us on. So, a WIN for us! That's a long story to say that this parking lot has special sentimental value attached to it forevermore in our memories. Yeah, I better give this place a 5 star. So, I gave it 5 stars, but Yelp wouldn't post it, saying that it doesn't allow a certain character (the 'less-than' symbol) in reviews, so I've edited my 'crack' symbology accordingly.

Came to Venice by car. We did so last time in 2020. Back then the place was full (despite Covid-19)…read moreand we had to park outside. This time there was an option online to pre-book a parking spot inside the building. Easy pre-paid by card and by making an account (or as guest). You choose a time-slot for your arrival. You can enter up to an hour before your chosen slot and it doesn't matter if you arrive later. You get a QR code after the booking. When arriving, you just hold the code to the machine at the entrance and that's it. Very easy, very conveniant. Worked perfectly. Easy in and out. There are plenty of spaces, our mid-sized SUV had no problems, also around turns and corners - the place is spacious and your car completely safe here. There are ATMs, chargers for EVs, elevators, snack machines, toilets and ticket booths to book public transport and/or Vaporettos. We've paid a little less than 30 Euros a day. And for a city like Venice that's definitely a fair deal. From here it's a very short walk to the Vaporetto - and a short ride right into Venice (like Ferrovia - the train station or further of course). You will take the Vaporetto No. 2 from here. We were really happy with this parking option. And will definitely use it again next time.

Getting to the Tronchetto Parking Garage was easy from the right lane of the causeway to Venice…read more This 6-story parking garage has sections A though E. Our problem came when we parked and took a snapshot of a sign that said E1 near a security camera. We were happy that the camera was near our car and went on our way. Two days later we could not find the car in section E1. After an exhaustive search we learned that the camera marked E1 was not located in the E1 section of the garage. It was actually located in E2. I'd advise you to verify and reverify the location of your car before you exit. Multiple photos would have helped us. For the management at Tronchetto, please consider a complete review of your signage for accuracy. Don't assume that new visitors will know anything about where to go for the People Mover and Vaporetto systems. Large, well-positioned, accurate signage would have been helpful and would have saved us a lot of frustration.

Sirmione!!! What can I honestly say that hasn't already been said about this beauty?! In reading…read moresome of the previous reviews, the mentions of "drop dead gorgeous" quickly became a theme and rightfully so. This place is stunning beyond belief. A true encapsulation of one of Italy's brightest beauties. Sirmione is one of many island resort towns that sit on Italy's largest lake known as Lake Garda. I took a day trip to Sirmione from Milan and I was completely blown away by how immaculate it was. Walking into the resort, I was instantly enamored but the Scaligero Castle. It's the first view that you'll see when walking into town. Can you believe that? Just casually walking through town and then BOOM! A big ol' ancient castle right before your eyes. Although Sirmione isn't as popular or well known as Venice or Lake Como, it's still a wonderful place to visit. For one, the crowds aren't as heavy which makes for a more enjoyable experience (it's still a busy place though!). The beaches are walking distance from the parking lot and they are so clean, calm, and clear. The most popular beach on the resort is Jamaica Beach which is all the way at the tip of the island, but there are a few other beaches that are worthy of a visit as well. There's shopping, restaurants, and the famous Sirmione ice cream! That's right; this place is known for their giant ice cream scoops. I can confirm that the ice cream scoops are massive! The walking trails are lovely and the parks are so green. You have the beaches and walking trails on one side of the island, and then the stunning Lake Garda on the other side. It's popular to take boat rides on Lake Garda from here. What I enjoyed most was simply walking around. There are so many cute alleyways and beautiful structures to admire. And of course, laying out on the beach and catching those peaceful waves were pretty mesmerizing too. I'd say visiting Sirmione was one of my most memorable experiences while in the Lombardy region. I've been living in those memories for the past few days and I would love to visit again someday. It's truly such a magical place.

We paid to park down the street before walking into the city. I would recommend spending an hour or more exploring the area. Many shops and gelaterias to explore.
