"Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord. I will repay." Romans 12:9 Wait for it . . . View attached photo of my paralyzed dog. It was necessary to euthanize her.* When she entered parkview, she was walking on all four legs. She came out 30 minutes later unable to stand. Vet would not discuss what happened to her. When I tried to talk about it, he was loud and angry. He accused me of trying to say they "broke" my dog (an admission that something happened there). Obviously, he does not understand that ELDER ABUSE IS A CRIME. The entire experience was a horror. I remain heart broken. I feel worse than when I came home from cancer surgeries. Do you want this to happen to you or your pet?? *The vet who euthanized her suggested she was dropped.

I've had a really good experience with Parkview Pet Clinic. Found them looking for a vet nearby for my kitty's teeth cleaning. I tried taking him to one of those non-anesthesia mobile cleanings and the lady said his teeth were really bad and hurting him & he'd need more extensive cleaning & most likely extractions so I'd need to go to the vet! This really freaked me out like omg how bad is it?! Is he going to be okay?? Plus she said it would probably cost me $2-3k! Ummm what?! So after researching & seeing another review saying they did a good job at a more affordable price I decided to try them out. First had to have a regular visit to get bloodwork. That all went fine although they weren't able (they tried) to clip my cats nails (he can get mean... especially since his tooth hurt) but the groomer has no problem so was surprised they couldn't do it here. There were no issues when I had to reschedule his cleaning (in advance) even though it was going to be a few days past the time they want after bloodwork but they said it was fine. They prescribed some meds for him to take the night before & morning of to calm him a bit but he wouldn't take them even in his food. Morning of cleaning we dropped him off and then got a call to pick him up later in the afternoon. The doctor was SO NICE & super explained everything he did. He did end up pulling one of his canines where he had a gnarly pus-filled infection that ate away his tooth like it was literally half missing under his gums. The doctor said it was one of the most necessary extractions he'd seen. I ended up paying around $800 for the whole thing. So relieved! And wow my kitty was so loopy from the anesthesia, he was extra lovey and adorable. He's literally gotten nicer since the whole thing since now his painful toofer is gone! (And they also did end up trimming his nails finally when he was under during the cleaning)

Love the little sign in Ollie's check up room!

Pros: Super clean Friendly staff Great doctors Con: Appointment only I took Ollie in to have his paw checked out because his limp worried me. Dr. Kramer was great! She was able to thoroughly assess Ollie and put my mind at ease. She's so detailed with explaining things and you can really tell that she loves what she does & cares about her fur patients. I usually take Ollie to a vet in Eagle Rock, but after today's visit with Dr. Kramer, I have decided to make this Ollie's primary vet!!! I highly recommend this place!! Just don't forget to call and schedule an appointment prior to your visit!!

They have always been there for my babies. Everyone is not just friendly and professional, they also have a heart. They all treat my pets just like it's their own. They explain to you everything -including alternatives. They empathize with you with sincerity. The place- before this coronavirus lockdown- has always been squeaky clean. They proactively do follow up calls. I wish all the staff here the best - you guys have always been there for us!

This is how the employees here view serious complaints about gross negligence&incompetence. Your animals life is disposable to these clowns

I bought a puppy last year, a sweet 3 months old Biewer Yorkshire Terrier. When I took my puppy for the third DA2PP at three months old, a replacement vet. Insisted that I will need to have total four DA2PP for my dog. December 9th for the third vaccine and December 26 for the forth vaccine. When I took my puppy there on December 26, they gave my dog DAPP vaccine, Rabbits vaccine, and oral Bordetella. There was no advanced notice or approval on both Rabbits vaccine and oral Bordetella/ there is one treatment on December 9th already. My puppy was 11 weeks old and 3.6 lb on Decamber 26. I was very stressed on more than one vaccine in one visit on a such young puppy under 4 lb and there was no owner approval. When I checked out my dog, I raised my concern and disappointed. All I got was " our tech has right to decide what your dog needs." My puppy came home can't move nor eat/drink for hours. I hold her the whole night and had a very hard time worrying if she would had bad outcomes. She was trained properly after two weeks in my house, but started bad behavior issues after December 26 vaccine trauma for three months until now. I don't think that I will bring her back to Best Care Pet hospital any more. It is sad, I worked with Dr. Tang for over 30 years and in the same location with same staffs since Dr. Tang moved to this location. I can't trust this clinic for my dogs any more.

I've had my fair share of visits with the vet because anytime somethings wrong with my dog, I try and get it checked out right away. The people here are very kind, thorough, they make sure to ask all the questions and also answer all the ones I have. Again, prices are super reasonable too especially with some others in the area I've tried out. If you're in the La Crescenta/ La Canada area, I HIGHLY recommend this place. Before Hillcrest, we had another vet for years - it could take days to get appointments, recommendations were unclear, and I always felt rushed. One of my dogs had chronic pancreatitis and we were constantly on medication, in and out of ERs, and felt helpless. Finding Hillcrest a few years was a relief. Dr K immediately recognized that my dog had serious food allergies - we changed him to vegan food and he hasn't had to be hospitalized since . They are kind and compassionate but straightforward and honest and will love your pets like their own. Dr K provides very clear financial estimates before proceeding so anyone complaining about cost knew what they were agreeing to in advance. My dog has formed a small lump in between one of his paws & it was leaking puss. I went ahead & called Hillcrest & the receptionist was able to get me an appointment for the next day instead of having me come in as urgent. Once I was with the vet, they looked at his paw & concluded that this might have been caused by a fox tail. I tried to explain that I didn't believe that was the case since I had not walked my dog around the neighborhood yet nor were there any foxtails by my home. They were pretty convinced this was still the case despite me mentioning maybe an ingrown hair or some other cause. The vet didn't really listen to my opinion & instead recommended my dog either be given medication or go under the knife. Personally, recommending surgery was a ridiculous suggestion in my opinion. It felt scummy. I went with medication, bandaging & cleaning his wound. It totaled to about $403. In the end, the bandaging they did on my dog gave him a new wound that required me to take him to a different vet 2 weeks later. Turns out, the initial lump was just a symptom of my dog having allergies! Condensed Version: -Staff: Super friendly & accommodating. -Veterinarian: They could do better in listening to the owner, especially before jumping to surgery. -Location: Parking in the area was terrible. -Price: Expensive, $403, they kept insisting I buy certain things despite me saying I already had something similar. -Overall Impression: I appreciate the staff willing to accommodate us at the last minute. However, my dog developed a NEW wound due to their bandaging so I had to take him to a different vet. Recommending surgery was a big red flag to me, turns out, it was just allergies! I would have a hard time returning back in the future.
