When I joined Colhado, I was anxious and didn't know what to expect. I mean, I knew how to shrimp from my 1 semester in Judo at SJSU, but even that I needed to work on. My first class was great, there were folks there that recognized I was a completely clueless white belt (still am) and they took me under their wing. During drills and sparring, people were very accommodating of my wrist and made sure I was okay, which I appreciated. Even though I had a 1 week free trial, I signed-up the next day because I knew I wanted to continue training here. Colhado's is a family oriented gym. Everyone treats others like family and there's only positive vibes here. I've been training here for 3+ months now and I've enjoyed every single day that I've been on the mats. Professor Matheus cares about his student's growth and has created a friendly environment for everyone to train at. Whether it's the morning class, early-afternoon, evening or weekend classes (I've done most of them!) you're going to get an A+ education in the art of Jiu Jitsu, along with other super positive people training right beside you. See you on the mats.

Classes are well run and open to all levels, from beginners to experienced fighters. The atmosphere is welcoming, focused, and respectful. I've trained with Kru Sam for over 20 years. He has proven to be one of the best Muay Thai trainers in the world. Over the last 25 years, he has developed multiple world champions and helped launch the careers of some of San Francisco's top Muay Thai and MMA fighters. His teaching is clear, technical, and patient. He gives the same attention to new students as he does to seasoned fighters. He also hosts fight events, giving his students real opportunities to compete. This gym has a strong and supportive community. Everyone trains hard and looks out for one another. If you want real Muay Thai with world-class coaching and a team that feels like family, World Muay Thai Team USA is the place to be.

The coaches are skilled, personable, and really love to see when you're improving. The other students are welcoming and all putting in their best effort to better themselves all for various reasons, and if you're doing the same, you're gonna make some solid friendships here. Kru Sam is actually from Thailand and knows the traditions of the art and still goes back himself or sends students there regularly to train, which may be part of why he's trained so many champions. If you're looking to compete, a place to learn how to defend yourself, or even a place to get in a solid workout, give it a shot!

The space has beautiful high ceilings, the front desk staff are always kind, and the heaters make the hot classes the perfect temperature. The teachers have all been phenomenal, and the overall energy of the studio is welcoming and consistent. We currently go to Ava's 6:30pm Tuesday/Thursday class, and she's incredible. Her flow gets your heart rate up, makes you sweat, and always leaves your body feeling great afterward. It's the perfect balance of challenge, movement, and clarity. Linda's 5pm class just before is also an amazing class. It's labeled as a Vinyasa Flow- Heated, and it's definitely not a beginner class. Her flow is fast-paced, her sequencing is thoughtful, and she's an extremely talented teacher with great energy and precision. Overall, Yoga Flow SF is one of the best studios we've ever practiced at- amazing instructors, great environment, and classes that keep us coming back every week. Highly recommend.

Everybody seem to be in their own Zen, humble moments! For my personality, I felt like I was hyper or something because they spoke so eloquently and calmly. A very sweet Asian lady with a beautiful French accent! Since the holidays were coming up, she said she was traveling for a wedding and it was really cute and sweet that she shared the extra information. She gave great instruction on how to hold Yoga blocks and work different muscles. Even though this was a beginner class , I felt like I learned some new things since I've been doing yoga for about 13 years now. I would love to take another class here again! There's also an amazing little coffee shop down the way they have organic coffee with pink tables out in front! You should definitely check out that coffee shop!

I connected with Sir Joseph via email beforehand, he's very responsive which I was really grateful for. He patiently answered all of my questions. I really appreciated that they have an organized curriculum. They also teach/give access to learning more about the Filipino culture outside of the Martial Arts. I took the 6:45 pm adult class 1-2 per week for a few months. They do offer other classes though like Dirty Boxing and youth classes if you're interested in that. As a pinay I hold so much value to this art. It's beautiful and takes a lot of skill. So give it a try and give yourself some grace if it doesn't come naturally at first. If you could bring a friend with you, that would be super helpful, because a lot of the material requires combat with another person. Anyway, I'm getting off track, all of the teachers/to be teachers are kind, knowlegable, and always willing to assist so don't be afraid to ask questions! The entire welcome experience could not be more perfect. You book a free trial class easily online and show up to find your kids name on a big sign with a free t-shirt waiting. They are super supportive in the class and let the first-timers do a board breaking at the end so they get absolutely hooked from the jump. The joy in their faces after that board breaks and they feel so powerful is priceless! Arrive for your first real class their uniform is at the ready on the front desk. Seriously, so organized! We love the instructors. They break the kids into smaller groups so she's gotten to work with Shīfu Bender and Shīfu Fidler and Shīfu Lucas Dela Cruz who are all wonderful. They have an app that makes everything super easy. Including instructional videos kids can use to practice. When you arrive you just check your kiddo in on the ipad (they are located right next to the after class lollipops). The class itself is the perfect blend of skill-training and fun. They learn respect, discipline and hard work, then they get to play a fun game at the end like freeze tag to get all their energy out. They also earn sticker stripes leading up to the different color belts. My kiddo is highly motivated by this and always looks forward to the "earn" days. The support staff is super responsive and helpful with inquiries and questions. There are plenty of benches to sit and watch but it's in a great neighborhood so always fun to run out and grab a snack or bubbletea.
