The student body and the staff showcase the diversity of Silver Spring; 2. Everybody is there for their kids to learn, so there is very little judgment of kids or of parents' 3. Changing facilities are better than adequate; 4. The teachers are all so very nice and enthusiastic; 5. The don't mark the heck up out of the things they sell, such as goggles and swim diapers; 6. It's very well organized and front desk staff is responsive; 7. The water is very warm. 8. LOTS of staff around the pool. It's clear they take safety very seriously. If I had one constructive criticism is I wish the big kid classes were just a little longer. I'm sure their scheduling is very challenging, but I think the slightly older kids would benefit from having more time in the pool to practice their skill (they split their time with their classmates and 30 minutes go by quickly!).

The staff was very nice and there were plenty of lifeguards keeping close watch. The outdoor pool area consisted of - Large pool section that went from 3+ feet to 5 feet - 13 foot area with a diving board - Lazy river - 2 water slides About 40% of the area where you can sit is shaded (either trees or a canopy). I can tell that people came early to snag those spots. It's a very nice and well maintained facility. One thing to be aware of is that there is no re-entry. So make sure you bring everything from the car you need the first time. There is plenty of parking. Overall we had a great time and next time we will go closer to the time they open to get a shady spot.

Wednesday night they had a swim meet. It was loud and exciting but the pool was still open for swimming. This was great! It had been a very hot day! I could not swim any laps but I did my best going wall to wall in the main pool. They are also shooting 2 spouts of water out across the pool now. The kid's love it. I was a member here and after learning at a board meeting last year that they were having financial…read moredifficulties from the board, I tried to suggest multiple fundraising ideas and ideas for recruiting new members and was constantly shut down and it was all kind of odd and combined with a very suspicious 2024 projected budget printout which I will attach lead me to seek financial transparency, as member/owners are entitled to as outlined in the bylaws, and when I was refused I contacted councilwoman Minks office where a gentleman they are told me that they were not in good standing with the state according to his records, and he directed me to the office of consumer affairs, and as a result of these things I have been expelled from the pool with the board refusing to return my membership unit funds and I just want other people to be aware before making the decision to join

But, they have a complete fitness gym, pilates and yoga studios, aerobics classes, spin classes, aquatic classes, personal trainers, and more. Our yoga community is very supportive, so I am always encouraged to go to class even when it's cold out or raining, etc. I am a "senior" & so there is something there for people of all ages. We have a 85-year old who regularly comes to yoga with the rest of us. But, the kids can play basketball or tennis, work-out in the gym, or swim in the pool.
