This is the closest store to my home and I have purchased my cigarettes there for several years. I always try to purchase 4 cartons at a time. If they only have 1, 2 or 3 cartons, I accept that and purchase what they have. The problem started when several months ago, a new employee started to work the check-out counter. While I would not describe this woman as unfriendly, she certainly is not friendly either. During my last visit, I went to pick up three items from the back of the store, then I went to the counter. This clerk walks behind the counter, looks at me, says nothing, and turns her back on me to begin writing something down on a piece of paper. When she had completed whatever it was that she was doing, she approached me at the register and said, "Sorry about that." I said, "It's okay, I'm not in a hurry." No acknowledgement from her or gratitude for my patience and understanding. Not even the slightest change in her facial expression. While I was waiting for her to come over to take my money, I had ample time to notice that on the cupboard doors where they keep their cigarettes, there was now a 2 carton limit, per person, per purchase. I did not make any waves, I asked for two cartons. I then went to the next closest Circle K. There were no signs limiting the number of cartons that could be purchased at one time. That evening, I went to the "contact us" page on the Circle K website to tell them of this problem. I have received no response from the corporation. If I owned this business and a particular product was becoming more popular, I would increase my inventory and order accordingly to be able to accommodate my customer base. BUT NOT THIS CIRCLE K. The problem that I experienced began when this employee began working there a few months ago. I asked for 4 cartons. When she opened the cupboard, I could see that there were 5 cartons, but she returned to the register with 3 cartons, she said to me "I have three." I did not challenge her, I purchased the three cartons. So, with my very first encounter with this new employee, she has already established herself as a liar. Other clerks in this store would sell me 4 cartons until my second to the last visit, when she observed this. It's too bad that these stores used to be so much better when they were operated by Kangaroo Stores. With no response from the corporation, I am done with Circle K. " no response". He filled my tank and after I responded with "thanks! I appreciate it" a bit louder as my truck was running as was the propane pump. Again nothing. That's how you respect my hard earned dollars? Got it. Go somewhere else. 2 stars because they were the o ly ones I could go to in a pinch, and they did sell propane.

They never show up when requested and their customer service is horrible. I switched to Wright's Gas from Tabor City and they are terrific. Stay away from Ford's, you'll appreciate it later!
