Booked a Monday to Friday break here with my mother and two boys. On arrival, was told that our apartment was on the top floor and had no lift. I pointed out that my mother was 80 years old and walks with the aid of a stick, so would have trouble climbing two flights of stairs, only to be told we don't have anything else as we are fully booked. Not a good start. I was not impressed as nowhere on the website was there any mention of the fact that the apartments were on two or three floors and that there was no lift.
The apartment itself was not very nice. Grubby I would call it. The window sills were filthy and there were spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling in the corners. Not what I would expect. Also some of the furniture was broken or had bits missing and the duvets had seen better days. At least the bedding was clean, so we could cover them up!
Needless to say, we spent all day out and about, so didn't have to spend much time in the apartment!
I feel bad for my mother as this was her only holiday this year, so I wanted the accommodation to be nice. The apartment looked lovely in the picture on the website, but then it would wouldn't it! Still, the kids enjoyed the amusements!
Think I'll stick with Haven if I have another caravan holiday. read more
