She immediately responded with the name of a local animal hospital that she would take them to should anything happen. I was quite impressed, I was really happy to know that she had a game plan for such circumstances. So after the wedding we had her look after our cats while on our honeymoon and I've now been texting her whenever a business trip comes up and we both won't be around. Once I arranged the details with Renee, we found out that my dog was missing a shot required by the boarding facility, so Renee and her colleague turned on a dime and made the two stops required to get the situation resolved. They have a strong network in St. Augustine, and were able to recommend a vet that could see the dog immediately. Without Renee I would have been unable to make this happen, and I am so grateful: they truly put the animals needs ahead of everything else. I would recommend them 1,000%.

I feel badly for both the owner of the cat and the owner of creature comforts. I can say that in 25 plus years we have boarded multiple breeds of very aggressive dogs without incident that many a boarding kennel might have turned down. My dogs were shown love and compassion that it's hard to find. They took the time to learn intricacies of the breeds we brought to them. They even used an exercise period for one dog to train him to point!! I cannot recommend them any more highly... Again my condolences to the cat owner.

I got a tour of the place on my first visit. It was clean, spacious and safe. I saw pictures of Max playing and having fun with the other dogs so I felt at ease knowing he was okay. There is a large in door room that the dogs can play in when it's cold, and there is a shaded canopy outside for them when it's hot. I wish Tom the best, I hope Pawstars grows into a successful business where he can hire more staff to accommodate the growth. You can tell when you visit, that Tom works really hard to make the dogs and people feel welcome. It's not about selling fancy food and accessories it's about the dogs.

Inside, it's just the opposite, with a plethora of live plants (tons of orchids), a lively aquarium & a few welcoming caged parrots who greeted my pup & I with "hello!" We have been looking for another nearby groomer, as a previous experience with an Avondale groomer left a pretty sour taste in our mouths... Bobby & Nick are two very nice guys! I believe they took great care of our boy & also had him handsome & ready for pick up at the time I had requested, decked out with an adorable bandanna. Nick is an excellent communicator & thoroughly went over the details of our dog's visit. I think we found a keeper! We look forward to returning to Paws and Claws!
