After we left she decided she wanted it so I called and paid for it. We went and picked it up the next day and they switched it out with a lower quality wig that looked almost the same. There are thousands of wigs on Amazon for $20-30. Do yourself a favor and order a bunch from there. Try them on and keep what you like and return the rest. I know they don't pay more than $5-10 per wig that they're selling for $500-600

I came here on my lunch break because I work long hours and most BSS are closed by the time I get off work. This was the closest to my office. Anyway, as for the products, I came here looking for a specific type of synthetic braiding hair for box braids I plan to get this weekend. They did have the brand but not in the colors I needed. It was very difficult to tell what they had because everything is mixed around and out of place and the employees do not try to fix it. One employee actually said to me, "Yeah, it's all mixed around so it's hard to find anything." As for the customer service... this is the main reason I gave this place ONE STAR! I do not expect customer service to be perfect because I know that is not realistic in most businesses, sadly. But this was just awful. Here are some examples listed in the order of when I walked in to when I left: 1. As I walked in a man approached one of the workers and asked the worker how much a certain hat was. The employee responded by saying, "Oh I don't work here but that guy does," and pointed to the man behind the counter; who was servicing a very long line at the time. I then watched the employee who claimed he didn't work there pull out a key and open a jewelry display for another customer. Very odd... 2. I was searching for the hair I needed in the disorganized cluster of mixed brands/ colors while a woman who worked there was standing a few feet from me. I did not realize she was standing there or else I would've asked for her help. (I'm not one of those annoying people who stands there waiting to be asked if I need anything). It is her job to notice customers, even before they notice her but whatever. It wasn't that big of a deal. She's actually the reason I'm giving this place one star because once I did get her attention she was very helpful. 3. THE WORST PART about this whole experience was the check out process. It took me so long to find what I needed, that by the time I was about to check out I had 15 minutes until my lunch break was over. There was a woman in front of me who couldn't decide if she wanted a certain product and was taking awhile. There were two registers so when another employee came up I assumed it was to help me. But he just started bothering the girl behind the counter. I asked him if he could please ring me up because I had to get back to work. He pointed at the girl behind the counter and said she will. I then said please I have to get to work (the woman in front of me still hadn't decided if she wanted the product and the line was now a few people long.) He just laughed and looked at the employee ringing up the indecisive customer and said he didn't feel like ringing anyone up. I then said pleaseeee sir I really need to get back to work (I now only had 10 minutes left.) The female employee told him he had to ring me up and to just do it. I've never been to ANY business where an employee was so lazy that he couldn't ring someone up while standing right behind the register!!! I actually had to beg him!

Beyond excited that Morgan and Alyssa have opened up their own salon together in Allendale. It is a gorgeous salon, clean, warm, and inviting. The front desk staff are amazing and helpful from the moment you step in the door. There are multiple seating areas where you can wait comfortably. There are ample snacks and beverages to choose from which is a huge plus! Personally I am in the salons for hours with my hair and it's great to be able to have a quick snack or drink during my service. The towels are heated and lavender scented which is the perfect touch in colder months! I am personally someone who is stressed at the salon, but never here. Morgan and all the staff here ensure you are at home and comfortable. If you're in need of a wash and blowout Gianna is fantastic, her washes are heavenly and relaxing. After my disappointing experience, I learned that two of my friends had similar experiences with Doppelganger Wigs but didn't post reviews because they didn't want to negatively impact someone's parnasa. I feel a duty to protect others' investments in wigs as well. I purchased a secondhand wig from Rae, but the information I received about how processed the hair was and what repairs would be needed to make it wearable was not accurate. The estimated repair cost was around $200, but in reality, it ended up being more than double that. Because the hair was so processed, the wig did not hold up and was unfortunately not worth the price I paid. On the positive side, Rae is extremely sweet. Her salon is bright, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated, even with a little bowl of chocolate for customers. It's clear she has put a lot of effort into creating a pleasant wig-shopping space.
