These blanket policies have been outlawed due to the fact that they have a disparate impact on minorities. In my case, my crimes are all non-violent and occurred more than 7 years ago. I will soon be homeless, because I thought that when the owner accepted me as a tenant, I had a place to move to and stopped my housing search.

Tapestry has a modern facade, but this doesn't meaningfully contribute to the quality of life you…read morewould have as a resident. I lived in Tapestry Bocage between 2021 and 2022 and ended up breaking my lease to move elsewhere due to poor management experience and my large dog getting consistently sick when playing in their dog run. They intentionally make communication with the front office difficult by hiding property email addresses and leveraging their contractors as middle-men for communication, even though any discretion falls entirely with the property management. If you don't expect anything to go wrong, Tapestry Bocage is on the pricier side for what it delivers. However, expect any issue to be mishandled and poorly communicated.

Every interaction I had with Kamairea felt dismissive, unhelpful, and downright disrespectful. I even spoke with several of my neighbors just to make sure it wasn't only me and it turns out many residents have had similar negative experiences with her. When multiple people are saying the same thing, it's clearly not an isolated issue. I'm not sure why she's still employed here. The building might look nice on the outside, but the way residents are treated is awful. Management needs a serious overhaul. I would not recommend living here to anyone.

I see a handful of negative reviews about the Arlington, so I wanted to write about just how sweet…read morethe people are that work here. Genuinely, from the maintenance workers to the managers, they are all the sweetest apartment staff I have ever met. Every single one of them. They are always willing to help when you communicate with them. This is my senior year, and second year living here and I have loved every bit of it. People don't realize that there are always going to be issues with apartments and maintenance that has to be figured out, it's part of living in an apartment complex. Many of these issues are out of the staffs control. But regardless of the issue, the staff is always more than happy to help. A lot of people write negative reviews but they don't realize just how nice these people are and how hard they try to accommodate to *hundreds* of residents. It's far from an easy job...but they always do it with a smile on their faces. They always try their best. It's easy to complain about issues that are bound to happen, but I'll always give the Arlington employees the credit they deserve. Thank yall for always helping us out.

Dog hair everywhere (none of us had animals), mold in the washer, absolutely disgusting carpets, leaks, rotting food in the fridge, everything you could think of. We asked for our sofa to be cleaned (dog hair and odd stains all over it) , they told us we could do it ourselves. We asked for the carpets to be professionally shampooed (dark stains all over the carpet and what we found out to be dog poop caked in) , they told us it was our problem. When we moved out, we got charged for cleaning all of the issues that we addressed during move in. Documented all of this on their move-in inspection sheet, yet they still opted to charge each roommate a fee for the issues that they were so unwilling to resolve. If you move into a unit that has a tenant who is re-signing, they will not clean the common spaces (they explained this to me personally). One of our roommates re-signed, yet we are getting charged to clean common space areas. Which means, they will be charging a fee for an area that they themselves have admitted will not be cleaned. They are money hungry, they will attempt to take every dollar they can, under the guise of a miscellaneous fee. There are rats all over the property who destroy the bags they provide for their valet trash, only bringing forth more vermin and pests. The managers never directly meet or speak to the residents. They hide in the back office and force the front desk staff to deal with complaints, that way nothing ever really has to get resolved. Whoever runs this company is deplorable and I truly hope that everyone refrains from living here.

Whether or not its working, remains to be seen. A lot of stores still haven't been added to the area, which with its palm trees and building look, resembles Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles. The new movie theater is fantastic and the little lounges / dessert joints around the place make it a very hip, youngster area. During the summer months, Baton Rouge is muggy, humid, and so hot that walking outside to window shop doesn't seem very feasible. Until the Spring and Fall seasons roll around, perhaps the Mall of Louisiana is the only place to enjoy actual air conditioning. As Baton Rouge continues to develop into a metropolis, Perkins Rowe is sure to continue to become a real district worth visiting for all visitors and locals.
