If I could give them NO stars I would. Brides, especially, take note on the lack of customer service, the tardiness of the drivers and the inability for the company to take responsibility for their actions. I got married 2 weeks ago. I got an email confirmation with the name and number of my driver for the day. I was supposed to be picked up at 3:45. At 3:45 I got nervous, I was expecting the driver to arrive AT LEAST 5 minutes before pick-up time. No answer from the driver. I call their head office to be told that there's a new driver enroute, he should've been there by now, his name is Moe. Perfect, I call Moe to find out where he is. He tells me he is not Moe, but Moe's replacement and will arrive in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later (so at this point he's 20 minutes late). I hop on the bus and he refuses to move without cash on hand. I give him his payment, hesitantly because I don't believe they deserved their mandatory 17% tip that was put on my bill. when we arrive to the venue he goes on a rant about how we disrespected him, how he is more than just a limo driver. At this point he tells me his name is Moe (ugh, the lies!!!). Take responsibility for your tardiness, at the very least, apologize to your customer for being late. Had he apologized I would've elaborated on how spacious our limo bus was and the nice touch with the controlled air conditioning in the back. I wish I could give this company no stars!! I found this company online and hired them for my wedding in June of 2014. I required one limo to shuttle back and forth from my hotel to my venue in downtown Toronto (5-10 min drive.) I was hesitant to use this company after I saw this website. Needless to say, I called them to voice my concerns and Joe (manager, owner?) assured me that the reviews are 90% fake, and that I would receive good service. BIG MISTAKE! The driver was disgusting and disheveled. He was late to pick up by husband, then he almost took my husbands arm off by backing the car into a tree when the door was open. He was extremely late for every other pick up, and decided not to show up for several of them. When I spoke to Joe to voice everything that had gone wrong on the day, he was unprofessional, and basically called me a liar. I sent him several screen shots of text, and emails to prove that the driver was late for every pick up and I never heard back. When I followed up several days later via email, Joe called me during the work day. I said I couldnt speak and to respond to my email. That is when he started verbally abusing me on the phone, saying he "felt sorry for my husband, and everyone around me" and that I must have a "miserable life". Then proceeded to hang up on me! I completely agree with the previous review by Anika. I wish I had seen this before I booked them in May for my wedding this past weekend. I requested for a 3:45pm pick up and when we were still standing at the hotel at 3:50, I called the number provided by Joe to who our driver was asking where he was for our 3:45 pick up. The driver told me he had another pick up in Waterloo and was 20 minutes away. I told him that was unacceptable as my wedding would be starting in 20 minutes time. He asked me what I wanted to do and kept saying he's "almost there" and "20 minutes away". I hung up and called the main line, and relayed the same situation. I was given an excuse that there was a lot of traffic and I said that's not my problem. I booked over a month in advance for a 3:45pm pick up. This guy also asked what I wanted to do and at that point, I said I may as well just grab a cab. Asked him to cancel and refund anything I've already paid to that point. If the driver was anything like Anika's situation, I'm glad it worked out this way instead. I don't understand how Park Lane Livery does business. DO NOT book with Park Lane Livery. I organize a trip to see a Buffalo Bills game (from Toronto) every year as a work event and decided to try using Park Lane this year. My experience with Park Lane was absolutely horrible and they almost ruined the entire trip. I booked the bus several weeks in advance. Two days before the trip they called me to say they actually didn't have the necessary credentials to cross the border so there's a reasonable chance that we would get turned away. If this happened, they would leave it to us to try to find taxis to take us to the game, or else we could just turn around and go home. I was very frustrated as I had specifically asked them if they had all their paperwork in order at the time of my booking and they assured me they did. I spoke with three different people (George, Mike and Albert), all of whom were incredibly rude and unhelpful. Then, the next day (about 18 hours before we were supposed to leave), they called to inform me that all their large buses had broken down so they couldn't even provide us with a vehicle. I was left scrambling trying to find a bus that could accommodate ~30 people or else I would have to cancel the trip (and the $3,000 of tickets would go to waste). Needless to say, I was livid and they put the entire trip in jeopardy. Further, somehow the fact that I had cancelled the reservation got lost in the bowels of their disfunctional organization and the bus actually showed up on Sunday morning. So they were clearly lying to me that all their buses had broken down. We turned him away, didn't pay them a cent, and went with Yorkville Limosines instead - who were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The company did not show up for an important pickup. When I called as to why they weren't there, they said they would call back in two minutes and never called back. When I called back to say there was no point in coming since they were already an hour late and the even was missed, they sent through an email saying I would still have to pay for 30% of the reservation for inconveniencing the company with a cancelled reservation. Naturally this charge will be disputed with VISA. Just don't trust this company and its unconcerned and incompetent staff. read more

This company has terrible customer service!! If you have problem they will not help you, and likemy case, they will probably blame the problem on you. We were on a deserted side road and our driver slwoly backed into a ditch on our tour. This delayed us for well over an hour. The company refused to give us any extra time for the delay or a refund us any money. The manager even hung up on me, not once but twice, and then again on my girlfriend. I am telling you not to, but if for some reason you do decide to use this company, ask before hand what their policies are and how you will be compensated in the case of an accident or delay due to their company or drivers. Awesome! The bus was HUGE! Immaculate. Great sound System! Great Lighting! Exactly as promised! We used it to drive 50 teens to and fro a party venue. The whole night was FANTASTIC! I refused to sign until he filled out the proper information and he started to scream at me and kicked me and my bridemaids out of the limo. all i wanted was for him to put his arrival time and the amount i gave him on the slip which isnt a crazy request, no one with any sense would sign a blank paper and let someone fill it out later without seeing it. Because i figured what he was trying to do since he knew i was going to complain was fill the paper out that i shorted him, saying i only gave half the amount, so that he could pocket the rest. I rented the 22-24 passenger limo bus from Park Lane Livery for my wedding on April 20, 2013. I was not impressed, to say the least. The bus was in a state of disrepair and their customer service was a joke. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE! When I booked the limo I told Joe that the rear speakers weren't working. He told me he would take care of it. I believed him. On the day of my wedding the rear speakers weren't working. Nobody addressed this problem and the audio sounded horrible. On our late night return the sound system died. We had no music and the lights kept flickering on and off. Once we reached our destination the bus broke down. My guests and I got locked in the back. The driver barely got us out. I had to climb back inside through the divider (in my $2000 wedding suit) to get something that was left behind. The driver had to leave the bus on the side of the road because he couldn't get it started. I presume they had to tow it back to their lot. Basically, I paid $1000 for a beat-up limo that they didn't care to fix. It was hardly a party bus with half a sound system. Being trapped inside was an embarrassment. The most upsetting thing about this experience was how they dealt with my complaint after. I sent them a polite email asking for a partial refund. A week went by and nobody got back to me, so I called them. I spoke with Tony who started yelling and swearing at me about three minutes into our conversation. His argument was that two speakers are good enough, "just turn them up." He told me that they are not responsible for anything that goes wrong with their limos. "People always have something to complain about." He said he ignored my email because I demanded a huge refund. "Do what you're going to do... Sue me!" When my wife took the phone Tony became even more belligerent. She felt so threatened that she called the police to file a report. Then she called Joe to tell him what happened. Joe spoke with Tony who cooled down and told us to call Albert, the owner. His attitude was right on par with Tony's. He told my wife to post a good review online to get some money back. Worst customer experience of any business, in any country, in my whole life. After the bus was already 2 hours late for 32 people, they advised of a flat tire after we called them 6 times. A flat tire is something you can't control but when asked what was happening next they were completely rude and unprofessional. They advised us that WE had to find a solution and start calling repairmen....for their company. They told us it would be atleast two more hours. By that time we would miss our entire event and each individually had to take multiple cabs to Toronto. Never book with this company. The manager struggled with people skills, problem solving, and respect; he would likely be better suited to stock shelves on a night shift at Walmart. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past weekend and they had booked a big party limo for the day to transport the entire bridal party to the church, park for pictures and hall for the reception. The driver was dedicated to our party for the whole day, waiting in the parking lot during the ceremony and pictures and said it was okay to leave our clothes, purses, drinks, etc in the limo as he would be there and no one else would be using it. Thought everything was great, until someone realized this morning they were missing money and asked us to all check our purses and wallets. The driver had stolen money from the majority of us including the bride, totaling $525, and just left some cash in each wallet/purse so it wouldn't be obvious. On my friend's wedding day, the driver arrived LATE to pick up the groomsmen, but insisted that he didn't. Not only that, he refused to allow them on the bus until he was paid in full, which was contrary to the agreement of their contract. The contract also stated that he was supposed to stay at the 2nd drop-off location to wait for the whole wedding party and was not to leave until they were all dropped off at the final venue. He initially denied this part of the agreement. At the time, I tried calling the main company "Platinum Party Bus" (416-418-4227, http://platinumpartybusrentaltoronto.com/), nobody picked up and the number didn't even seem like it was in service. So I called another driver that was hired that day from the same company, asked him for another number, and he gave me a number for "Park Lane Livery" (416-488-3888, http://www.livery.com/). When I called them to clarify the situation, I was directed to the manager Albert, who kept interrupting me as I tried to explain the situation. My main concern was that the driver would take off having been paid already, and I simply wanted to make sure that that wouldn't happen, but Albert wouldn't allow me to express my concerns. He kept talking over me angrily, and I kept pleading for him to calm down so that I could explain my concerns and then he put me on hold, during which he apparently had called his driver, who continued to deny being late, so when he came back on the phone, he accused me of being a liar and threatened to cancel the entire day's schedule. The driver happen to arrive at the time when I was on the phone with the manager Albert, so in the midst of trying to communicate with him, Albert HUNG UP on me and when I tried calling back, he did not pick up again. Luckily the driver calmed down, agreed to stay at the 2nd drop-off as agreed, and I had to ask him to make sure that his manager would not cancel the rest of the day's scheduled pick-ups. I have never experienced such terrible customer service, and it's no wonder the driver vehemently denied being late. Car was not cold but rather freezing as there was no seal in one on the back doors and a large gap that let in all the cold air! This company perpetrated the most unforgivable bait and switch I've ever been subjected to. I've copied my correspondence with their owner and manager below so you can read for yourselves how they view their clients. Give them your credit card and trust them at your own risk! The synapsis is they informed me less than 24 hours before they were due to pick up me and 40 of my clients to a Buffalo Bills game that their 50 person "brand new" limo bus had some 'mechanical breakdown' they wouldn't specify and they would offer one of their smaller buses instead. There was a massive demand for buses on that day I discovered and I have zero doubts that they simply took a higher paying offer on short notice for the bus I had hired. Their substitute bus was an embarrassment - - cramped, barely working AC, cheesy strobe lighting the driver couldn't figure out how to turn off, and able to fit possibly 30 adults rather than the 42 they claimed such that some in our group had to sit on overturned garbage bins and coolers to fit. Hardly the luxury service they had promised. They also informed at the same time that they actually didn't have a licence to operate in NY State and that I would have to accept responsibility to find alternative means to get my group from the border to the stadium should they get turned back - a fact they neglected to mention before taking a non-refundable deposit from me (they claimed to go to Bills games all the time and the destination in their own contract said Buffalo). It gets better. Guess what they decided to offer to compensate for this bait and switch and customer service disaster? A rebate of half the $2,400 cost? A quarter? $100? An apology? NOTHING!!!! PARK LANE LIVERY LITERALLY DIDN'T EVEN OFFER AN APOLOGY AND WOULD NOT REIMBURSE 1 CENT OF THE FULL $2,400 THEY CHARGED ME. Unfortunatley I had to rate this company 1 star, let me start off by saying this company does not even deserve that. Myself and 15 other ladies used this limo companies "service" on Aug.24th/13 for my bachelorette night. From the moment our driver showed up at my house he was rushing to get us on the road. The agreed upon time that we were supposed to leave was 8:30pm and at around 8pm he was already stating that he had another pick up to make and that for every 15mins he was behind we would be charged $75.00. Not a good start. Then when the last 3 ladies arrived to leave they had brought gifts for me, I did not want to bring them on the limo because I would have had to leave them behind so I told the driver I was going to quickly run them into my house before we left. His response to me was an eye roll and a shake of the head. RUDE! The driver did not assist anyone of us getting into the limo. On the way to our destination the driver drove like a bat out of hell, speeding all the way there and putting our lives in danger. So much so that one of the girls was debating on calling the police because she was that scared. We were dropped off at our destination, door was not opened for us and the driver did not help any of us out of the limo he just sped off once we were all out. Pickup time was supposed to be 2AM. So at that time we all left the club and went out to the lot to find NO limo waiting for us. We waited giving the driver the benefit of the doubt. At 2:15AM no limo, 2:30AM no limo. We finally called to get a response of "I will be there in 15 mins, I am stuck in traffic". Not true being that it was 2:30AM and there was no traffic. Finally at almost 3:30AM (hour and half late) the limo driver shows up. No apology for his tardiness. So not only was the driver extremley late but he left 16 young women stranded in a town that they did not know, over an hour away from their homes in the middle of the night not thinking twice about any one of our safety. ABSOLUTLEY UNPROFESSIONAL!! We paid a ridiculous amount of money to basically be treated like garbage. The following day a few girls (including myself) emailed and called to complain about the "service" we had received in hopes we would get some or all of our money reimbursed. Complaints basically have fallen on deaf ears. The responses I got from a man named Tony were absolutley pathetic and RUDE to say the least. Not once was there any apologies given. The blame was basically pointed at us saying that we were late in the beginning of the night (which we were not) so that because we were late we should dismiss the fact that they were late picking us up. I had told this Tony that if these complaints were not dealt with in a more professional manner I would take it upon myself to contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and to make sure every site that refers limo companies such as Park Lane Livery would have a bad review posted. He basically threatened me and said if this happened he would not reimburse anything and would in fact charge us $75.00 for making the driver late in the begininning of the night even though we did not. Also he told me to not contact the company further which I did reply to with an email that never got a response from. Also many of the other girls that emailed them sent a read receipt with it to confirm it had been read which they were read and no response was given. If you are looking for a night out on the town and are searching for a good limo company to provide a safe, fun way of transportation Park Lane Livery should NOT be your choice. Recently, we booked a limo for a friend's bachelorette. Despite careful planning and repeated confirmations, our limousine failed to show up at the appointed time. As we were a group of 14, with a non-refundable fitness appointment worth $880.00 to get to, this worried me. Despite calling the driver, head office, and dispatch offices as instructed, we were left without a limo, and no indication of when/if one would be there. Though I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise that can take any business by surprise, the manner in which this particular situation was handled was atrocious. Text message communication, deliberately ignoring phone calls, refusal to compromise, and hanging up on customers is no way to conduct a professional business, especially one that is service-based. To have a limousine not show up, on top of bad service would be hard to deal with in a normal situation, but to have it be on a night that took months of careful planning and to lose hundreds of dollars in the process, that's a whole different ball game. I would not recommend using this company. I used another company owned by Park Lane Livery called, Torontolimousineservice.com. I'm pretty certain the company is not legitimate. I got no last names when filing my official complain! My complaint: The driver's actions resulted in my 8 year old daughter crying and telling me she was afraid. We were on our way to Casa Loma for a Father/daughter ball, when the driver threatened to put us out on the side of the road because he was late for his next appointment. The company did not book appointments well. Later when logging my official complaint, the person who deals with such things told me that myself or another passenger had phoned the driver and threatened him and his family.
