Front desk staff are always friendly and they address with my name when they see me - even those who I have never spoken previously. The concierge team is extremely helpful and patient - they made my stay extraordinary...big shout out to Stefano and Martin! Enjoyed the spa (swimming pool particularly) and Bank Brasseries restaurant. I also need to mention their location - it cannot be better and so convenient! We stayed at the Park Hyatt for 2 nights.We were gifted a GOH, so we were treated like Globalists, which really made our stay phenomenal. We arrived around 9 am and checked in. We were upgraded to a king deluxe room (even though the hotel was at capacity). They apologized that our room wasn't ready yet, and initially told us it would be ready around 1. (It ended up being ready before 11 am.) I wanted to freshen up before going out to explore. So we were taken down to the spa changing rooms. The location of the hotel is wonderful. There was a great Christmas market right in front. There were also restaurants and lots of shops including all the fancy places. It was so easy to walk to most places from the hotel. Our room was beautiful with very high ceilings. The room was huge. There was a desk, king bed (very comfortable), seating area, and the mini bar and coffee station. We also had a walk in closet. The bathroom had a shower, tub, two sinks, and fancy bath products. We got a free bottle of sparkling wine bc I told them it's our anniversary. On our first morning, we had to leave early for a tour, which meant no breakfast. My husband called down that morning and within 20 minutes, we had a bag waiting for us downstairs with coffee and pastries to go (free of charge). We did go to breakfast on our last morning. Huge assortment of food on the buffet, as well as a menu (eggs benedict was amazing). They also had mimosas. Before checkout, we did go down to use the pool and sauna. It was so relaxing. You cannot miss the pool, even if just for a quick dip. Everything was gorgeous. We got a late checkout (we were able to stay til 4 but we left around 1:30 pm). I would 100% recommend this hotel. It is also very convenient that everything is literal walking distance from this hotel. The hotel used to be the Bank of Austria and still has the beauty within its walls. Strong, dynamic, and just as sweet as she is talented. We just returned from a stay at the Park Hyatt Vienna and it is one of my favorite stays to date. It started months before when I emailed the GM, the amazing Monique Dekker and Concierge regarding my husbands birthday. They thoughtfully sent activities and dining suggestions for the special day and were efficient and thorough in helping us to make reservations. We received several personalized cards throughout our stay which were so fun and such a special touch. There was a particular man from Hungary who was at the front door several times but also delivered some items to our room who was very friendly and nice. He was memorable because he brought a small doll and stroller for our daughter to play with and seemed just as excited as she was to enjoy it! We were traveling with our young daughter and arrived in the room to fruits and special chocolates with chilled champagne. We were completely exhausted from our travel with no sleep on the 2 flights so we were thrilled with the beautiful room that was provided for us. We were put in gorgeous suite with an adorable crib and stuffy for our daughter complete with a mini robe and slippers. We enjoyed delicious breakfast from The Bank each day and definitely loved the super thin crispy bacon and the Park Hyatt Vienna Blend tea. Our daughter had a great time at the pool which was set in the vault of the old bank. We were always greeted with big smiles every time we went out and welcomed back to the hotel. Everything was taken care of efficiently and quickly. The staff is super helpful and we absolutely loved everything about the hotel. We would love to return again some day!!! read more

We didn't have a scheduled return flight back home. I was hoping that two Lufthansa first class seats would open last minute, as it often does. I had transferred 80,000 Starpoints to Aeroplan, and during their last promotion was enough miles to book two first class tickets which I thought was a great use of Starpoints. This was before the recent Aeroplan devaluation so it made the effort even more of a reward. We decided to fly out of Vienna and into Frankfurt so that we could visit the much heralded Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt. With the schedule, that meant another stay in Vienna. Since we had only stayed for one night in Vienna on the way in, I decided to redeem 50,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points, since rates were nearly $600/night. This gave us an extra two days in Vienna before heading to Frankfurt. Upon check-in, I was notified that I had been upgraded to a Park Studio King room, which I was very grateful for. Thinking I would get another upgrade to the Diplomat Suite again, was wishful thinking and not something that I was expecting in the least. The room was somewhat oddly shaped, as the room was on the top floor of the hotel, the wall along the exterior of the hotel was curved and angled inward. It was like staying in a luxury igloo. Upon entering the room, the closet is located in the hallway. There are shelves, both enclosed and glass faced along with the safe. Oddly, the electrical adapter was located in the closet, rather than close to the desk or bed. The mini bar is hidden in an elegant cabinet. Next to that is a comfortable curved couch with a large coffee table and two chairs. Going further along the edge of the igloo is the TV, followed by the tub. It is kind of odd for the tub to be in the middle of the room, just a few steps away from the bed. At least without a mirror on the ceiling. Next to the tub, was the desk, which was on the smaller side. There is a night stand type table next to the desk for additional room. The bed is located in the middle of the igloo. In standard Park Hyatt fashion, the bed is very comfortable with a nightstand on each side, along with well-placed outlets. Behind the bed, and further into the room from the desk is the bathroom, which is also on the larger side. There is a vanity area where women can do their make-up. To the right of the vanity area is the toilet. There are double sinks with plenty of counter space. Other than the igloo shape of the room, the next most prominent feature is the shower. It is absolutely humongous. There is a handheld and rainfall shower head. There is also a bench on the opposite side of the shower, perhaps 5-7 feet away. This is a creative use of otherwise wasted space. I will only focus on the room, as I previously reviewed breakfast in The Bank. Once again, service was top notch. All employees are very friendly and helpful. I would gladly stay here again in the future should my travels bring me back to Vienna. read more

Great hotel. Most of the employees speak English which was very helpful to me since I know about five words in German. The room - we had a suite - was fantastic. I'm posting photos. Afternoon tea service was the only downside. It took forever for someone to come over and check on us and bring champagne. Service in the dining room was a little slow as well which was confusing as it was a buffet. Service in the bar was excellent. The Mad Hatter is maybe the best drink in history. Also had a massage in the spa, and Sasha is absolutely amazing!! Money well spent! Overall an excellent place to stay. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Vienna again. read more

Special dinner at The Bank. Started with the snail fricasee. Thankful we shared as it is quite a hearty appetizer, rich and tasty. The entrecôte was delicious. Cooked perfectly to medium as ordered. Cute little warming tray for my side of mashed potatoes and bearnaise. No need for the it (which was the strangest consistency, too thick) as the glaze and beautifully sautéed onions were enough. My husband loved the beef tenderloin. I had a bite of his banana split. Creative and delicious. Best part was the server pouring a little little pitcher of dark chocolate sauce on top as it was served. Perfect service. We arrived in Vienna early in the morning in mid December. After a quick cab ride from the airport to the hotel, we were ready to start off our Winter 2014 Europe Trip. Checking in to the Park Hyatt was quick and easy. Unfortunately the room wasn't ready (as it was early in the morning), and so were were escorted to the lounge area, and waited there for a little while. We ordered some tea, and relaxed... Checked in again with the front desk 45 mins later, and we were taken up to our room on the 5th floor, and we were shown all of the features and amenities. Room was nice. you walked into a foyer, with the bathroom on one side and a walk-in close on the other. Pass this, and you were in the living room area, , with the TV and work desk to one side, a couch and chairs on the other.. and behind the couch, the bed. The hotel and room renovations were completed really well, and made the hotel feel like it was built this way from the beginning. One of the best features of the room were the heated floors in the bathroom. We had a few meals at the Lounge restaurant... all were good. Service was great. We also had access to the pool and spa area. The spa is in the basement level of the hotel and is great. Steam room and sauna were fantastic, and the pool was beautiful. most days that i used the space, i had the pool to myself. it was a great way to relax after walking around the city all day. The hotel's location is also perfect, with a christmas market right at it's doorstep, and the main shopping area in vienna right around the corner. A subway station is a few feet away, and the center of town is no more than a 10-15 minute walk. A great hotel, with a friendly staff, and a perfect location. read more

Breakfast is a must do and worth every euro. It was so nice to be in a smoke free environment in such a smoking-friendly city when one doesn't smoke. I almost didn't leave the room at all because it was so nice. The tub was very deep, shower is life changing, and their soap and shampoo has a red grapefruit scent to it. Elegant. read more

This is a review of the bar and general service. From a hotel chain that prides itself on haven exceptional F&B service I expected more, a whole lot more. Ok I´ll admit it, I expected service and what I got was even worse that I have received at Mcdonalds. First of all on our walk around the F&B outlets we were greeted a total of ONCE by staff members, even though we walked past a total of 25 people who I assumed to be employees. (See the thing is they wear no name tags and seem to all have a different uniform on. In the bar area itself I counted 4 different uniforms.) We found an empty table that was uncleared of coffee cups and as luck would have it we found a menu on the seat. Then we waited, and waited. After 8 minutes of sitting there with people paying no attention to us we flagged down someone who looked like he was working there and asked for a drink. Again no hello, no communication, nothing, just an ok. He disappeared into a back office and brought out two whisky tumblers carried in his hand, then popped them on our table and again by hand went to get the whisky we ordered and poured, without measuring, a drop of whisky into our glasses. Is that ok? he asked. We were astonished and so asked for the bill straight away. With the drinks there was no offer of snacks or water, no smiles, no attempt to be friendly and nobody checking to see if everything was ok, or to clear tables, basically no service whatsoever. After we had finished our drinks and waited another 5 or so minutes we decided that the bill was no going to be brought so we stood up and went ourselves to the service area and asked the server again for the bill. He mumbled something and then presented up with the bill. Again no eye contact or thank you. We put the money into the folder and as I was giving it back to him, he turned away to speak to one of his colleagues. I twice said thank you and extended the bill folder to him but it took him a few beats before he turned around and took the bill folder. Again no thanks, no have a nice day, nothing..... The only positives I can draw from the whole experience are that the building itself is wonderful and very plush, and that they must be doing very well as a company to be able to offer such amazing poor and non-existent service as I received. read more

I don't have enough words for this hotel! So beautiful, super kind and attentive staff, awesome food! Stayed two nights in Vienna. Room wasn't quite ready when we landed (early) but we were happy to stroll around and start exploring the city. We returned a few hours later to a gorgeous room. V. comfy bed, pristine bath. Our first night my husband woke with coughing and a slight chest cold. I called to see if I could get cough drops. While they aren't allowed to dispense any kind of medication, a staff member brought him hot water with fresh ginger and creamy honey, which not only soothed him for the moment, but actually seemed to clear him up! Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. We didn't want to be stuffed for a full day of sightseeing, so we just ordered off the menu rather than doing the buffet. I had eggs benny and my husband had a frittata. Delish, plus good coffee. Came back from sightseeing to fresh fruit and nuts, awesome! The concierge made us a reservation for Griechenbeisel, no problem. We capped off our second night with a drink in the living room. Hubby got a scotch and I had an old fashioned. Drinks were perfect and then they brought us little slices of cake! Altogether a lovely stay 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

Beware! My husband and I flew here from NYC specifically to celebrate Christmas. When we arrived on Christmas Eve we were shocked to discover there were no Christmas decorations and rap music playing instead of holiday music. When we complained to management (apparently, other people were complaining too) we were told the hotel is "moving away from religion." Stay away from this secular hotel if you are coming to Vienna to enjoy its centuries old beautiful Christmas traditions. All of the competitive hotels have absolutely gorgeous Christmas decorations and beautiful music. There are lots of wonderful choices. I am not sure what crowd the Park Hyatt is attempting to attract, but it is certainly not Christians trying to celebrate Christmas in this stunning city. Responding to the manager's comments - she ended up meeting with us which I thought took guts. She informed me that if she had known about the situation earlier she could have accommodated us with a Christmas tree in our room. We would have appreciated that gesture very much. (Hence the additional star). She said the reason the hotel is "moving away from religion" is because they have an international clientele. I am extremely concerned about this movement to whitewash Christmas. I mentioned to her that I doubted other countries / religions whitewash their religious traditions simply because a Christian goes to their country during a major holiday. It seems the only whitewashing is with Christianity and as a Christian, this movement concerns me greatly. The Manager did try to remediate the issue though, so that was appreciated. To follow up on the manager's comments again. I understand what you "feel" like Christmas is about but it is actually about the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and the grace His birth brought to the world. Everything else is superfluous. Again, no one was asking you for a full fledged nativity scene but the lack of a Christmas tree and music is heartbreaking to those who practice their faith. I assure you, based on feedback I have received on social media, many people feel the same way. It is your hotel though, and you can choose to make it as secular as you wish and we choose not to return as it does not reflect our values. No matter how good the massages were, and they were truly excellent. read more

My only complaint is that the AC couldn't keep up with the heat and was uncomfortable most of the time in the rooms. Otherwise, can comfortably recommend this hotel- would have given it 5 stars if the rooms would have been cooled sufficiently. Maybe avoid July and August here and it'll be a true 5-star experience. read more

My husband and I checked in 4 days ago, and from that moment on, our stay was about as flawless as I've ever experienced. First, we were able to receive a lovely upgrade to a suite. Instead of checking in at the front desk, Anna took us upstairs immediately and took down the essential information, telling us about the hotel and the surrounding area. Every concierge was wonderful and beyond helpful- in fact, everyone in the hotel, from servers to managers to housekeeping, were warm and genuinely wanting to do everything they could to make sure we were happy. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and beautiful and delicious. And the public areas, including the restaurants, are lovely. I have never been as happy with the level of service, the room, the location, or the ambience in any hotel I've ever stayed. Five stars does not do the Park Hyatt justice. read more
