We went here for our honeymoon and were really looking forward to the trip since it had gotten such great reviews. Sadly, the only thing 4 star about this hotel is the actual building. There is marble everywhere, it's very open and modern. The rooms are large and have amazing views of the coast and there is easy access to the path along the beach. This is the only reason why they get 2 instead of 1 star. However, there are lots of stairs with little ramp and elevator access so get ready to carry your suitcase (or maybe there was access, but it wasn't obvious and nobody told us where to go despite appearing with our heavy luggage).
Our checkin started with the employee giving us the wrong keys and looking at us like he was annoyed when we asked simple questions like where is breakfast served, where is the pool, etc. He was also very confused about us asking for an electric converter to borrow (which even 2 star hotels in Spain we stayed at had). We then had dinner at the bar and had the worst croquetas I've ever had in my life, and they were also the most expensive! They were virtually inedible. The pizza was ok and the avocado and chicken salad was good. When I filled out a survey of the bad checkin process and the mediocre food for the price, they responded in a very rude way and said "our restaurant is highly rated by our customers." So do you not consider me your customer?
We also paid for a sea view room overlooking the pool and weren't told that there would be a loud party on the pool deck...on a Wednesday...until 12:30am. We stayed up anyways but it was incredibly rude that nobody told us when we had paid more for this room.
At the end of our visit there weren't really any apologies about these issues and just that it should've gone differently. Hopefully they will learn for future customers, but I recommend anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. I'm sure there are many more places nearby that actually care about their customer service. read more
