AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!!…read more This place is out of control. They tried to charge me for SEVERAL different things that never happened. I went in for an annual physical--all preventative, no pressing health issues or concerns. When I got my bill, there were 4 additional line item "screenings" added to my basic doctor visit invoice ($241) that never took place. There was a 5th line item (for $246) called "Advanced Care Plan 30 minutes," which is apparently where you bring someone to represent you on your behalf, helping you make medical decisions, because you are either a minor or not of sound mind. What?! I was alone on this visit!! The doctor told me at the end of my first visit that I had to have my blood drawn and needed to schedule a second visit to go over the results (this was before I got the bill), and sure enough--another line item added to my second visit ($350) that NEVER HAPPENED! After several different phone calls to their billing department and office manager over the last 4 months, they are finally agreeing to remove the "mistaken" unnecessary charges totalling $837 (fingers crossed). Clearly my trust is long gone. The staff seemed nice enough, probably because they thought I had good insurance...I guess they didn't plan on my reading my bill. I can't comment on the physician, as she really didn't do anything (I'm overall healthy...I just needed an annual physical...it's not like I needed emergency surgery or anything). AVOID!!! AVOID!!! AVOID!!!

Primary Care Associates of Texas has two doctors within this office: one is a cardiologist, and the…read moreother is Dr. Radhika Vayani, a physician that used to be in Denton. For Dr. Vayani, I really can't say anything bad about her. Her analysis is excellent to the point where even the most technical health details are easily assessed & explained in a manner that is easy to understand. Yet above her technical competence as a physician, her superior strength may be in her bedside manner. Dr. Vayani's bedside manner that is incredibly easy-going, as well as humorous. This is a big deal, considering that all of us enjoy going to a doctor and have them tell what is wrong with us, right? I am grateful that Dr. Vayani doesn't sugarcoat any details of your health assessment. Thank you, Dr. Vayani for keeping it real. The backroom staff (consists of her assistants) are helpful, as well as easy going. I've never felt uncomfortable around having my vitals checked with them, nor my billing information. I can leave my entire wallet flushed with cash, plastic and my social security card on their front desk and they wouldn't go through it. That's how comfortable I feel around them. With all this said, the front staff is just a tad on the disappointing side. There are two employees that work with each doctor, yet you wouldn't know this until you've had one of them slam the glass window frame on you on a 4 PM appointment and sternly say "Go to the next window, she'll help you." Not only that, you also won't feel too good that despite being 10 minutes late for an appointment, you'll get talked to as if you are 8 hours late for your appointment. Never mind the fact that you were on the phone with an insurance company for 15 minutes and not even acknowledging that I am standing/sitting 6 feet away from your window. Instead of being 10 minutes late, I'm now 25 minutes late, even though I've been in the lobby with one other person while you go back & forth with an insurance company on who pays what with whom. I've been to this office twice now, and it seems as the only thing that I hate the most is the check-in process. I completely understand that you have a job to do and see dozens of people a day, yet it doesn't make it acceptable to be rude and slightly condescending to those that are just trying to see a doctor. Talking with the front staff employees is like getting ready to go to war- you are tensing yourself up while anticipating a barrage of surliness to be coming your way. That is the real situation on how I feel about this. Next time, I'll just bring in a Snickers bar for the front desk staff to enjoy while they are serving me a hot cup of sit down & STFU. If I could, I would give Dr. Vayani 10 Stars, yet we'll settle for 5 right now. 4.5 stars for the back staff employees. Front staff employees? To be determined.
