My mixed review is because I HATE THEIR BILLING SYSTEM!! I have PPO insurance, so I know exactly what my insurance will pay when I go in. And they know it too, because in their treatment case, it shows what they normally charge and what my insurance will pay. When I have my visit, I use my HSA to pay, and I'm billed the full amount, not what insurance will pay. I get that. What I don't get is that I HAVE TO CALL THEM TO GET THE OVERCHARGE REFUNDED. They don't do it automatically when they are reimbursed by insurance. So when they bill $2502, and insurance pays $1025, they're sitting on $1400 until I realize their scheme and call to get a refund. I shouldn't have to do that. It's completely bonkers.

I saw Dr. Swanson. I have very sensitive teeth and novacaine hasn't worked for me in the past. They were very accommodating to my issues without making me feel like I was being a pain. Everyone I had to deal with from the appointment desk to the insurance person were fabulous. The only thing is they have several dentists so you have to ask specifically for the one you want and also the gal who assists him. They are very helpful with that too. If you don't then you will get whoever is on the day you schedule. By far the best dentist I have ever had.

They will find a problem then say you have to come back to deal with it. Then you go back 1-2 times to deal with a filling or crown then go again for the cleaning only to be told "no, we want to take more X-rays then do another exam to determine what type of cleaning you need." Then they expect you to come back again to get your cleaning, that is if they don't find something else they can use to schedule another appointment. Each time you and your insurance is paying appointment fees and charges for everything that they do on multiple visits. This is the biggest Dental Scam I have ever seen. Save your time, money and sanity... Find another Dentist.

Without the slightest hesitation, I can honestly say that the few times that I have been to Metro Dentalcare in Ramsey they were my absolutely best experiences. Dr. Sullivan and her assistant Alyson were very professional, friendly, and most importantly, they paid attention to detail. I never felt rushed while my teeth were being worked on, and Dr. Sullivan made absolutely certain that the job was done to perfection before she would call it completed. She always made certain that I was happy with the work that she did, and that everything "felt right" to me. No other dentist in my experience paid that much attention to detail as she did. Am 100% happy with her work. She and Alyson are AWESOME!

She was not under anesthesia, and the whole procedure took about 10 minutes. There was no medical reason for me to not be allowed in the room. Arguably, this procedure was much less intensive than filling a cavity. There was no wiggle room for discussion and the dentist, Goldenberg gave a harsh answer. I explained that my daughter is a minor and was very nervous about having teeth pulled. I was escorted to the waiting room, as my daughter was crying. Absolutely unacceptable! If you are a parent who likes to be involved in your child's care... I would avoid this practice like the plague!

Got a "tiny little" filling and a crown. My "tiny little" filling ended up being half my tooth, which I had to have a root canal on (somewhere else). Because the filling is so big, I will now need a crown too. The crown I got? Still hurts. It's been 6 months. But I'll have to wait on that one until my "tiny little" filling is fixed. Not sure if it's true, but I've heard from quite a few people that PD hires right out of school. They have to start somewhere but probably not on fillings and crowns that i have to pay someone else to fix!
