I've been using the Maytag Laundromat for several months while some changes are being made to the…read more laundry room in my house (delays, you know). It's been about 20 years since I've used a laundromat and that was a different one here in town. This Maytag place is 10,000 times better than that one or any other laundromat I've used in the past. For starters, it's clean, including the floors. The machines don't have detergent, etc on them from the last user. There are a lot of machines of many sizes, so you don't have to wait around for a washer or dryer, even on a busy day. The prices are reasonable. It's never going to be cheaper than doing your laundry at home, but some people just can't. This place won't break the bank, especially if you use common sense and use the right size washer. The change machines (there are more than one), have never been broken or empty. Even if they were, there are staff on hand, so you don't have to go running somewhere else looking for change. In the time I've been going there, I've never seen more than two machines out of order at the same time and when I go back the next week, those are fixed. They don't let stuff sit around not working. The wash cycles are done in about 30 minutes and the dryers are run about 30 to 36 minutes depending on the size and cost. You can feed more coins in for more time as long as you don't let it quit first. I've never had to do this, even with big comforters. The dryers are very good and get stuff dry, which is something I can't say about the previous laundromat I visited. Overall, it's a great place to get stuck doing laundry.

It is unfortunate that the service is so slow and argumentative in a sense and the alterations price changes for young female customers once the dress is purchased. This practice is sad for such a nice shop in Bemidji.

Connie worked with us for a long time to get fonts as close as possible to the original hand-painted logo. They're honest and they'll shoot very straight with you. Sometimes communication could be a bit better. In fairness to them, like 90% of their business occurs in the two 4 week periods in May and September when everything goes in and everything comes out of the 50 lakes around Bemidji, so things get a bit crazy, and I get it.

AC hasn't come on and it kicks the heat on instead of AC. House has been hot and when I requested that Dick's come back out to help figure it out, they set up a time and never showed. The guys were able to get these issues resolved and completed the work in a very timely manner. The plumbers were very respectful and kept us informed in with everything that was needed. I was given an original quote for the work prior to all the uncovered issues needing to be resolved, which caused a requote for work which they were upfront about. They quoted high not knowing if they were going to have to rent equipment. After the work was completed, I was told they would requote again as the quote wasn't going to be nearly as high. I paid them in full the original quote prior to any work. I then waited for the final quote after work was done. I waited almost a month post work for the requote, keep in mind all communication was by email. I finally received the by mail after almost a month with a 1% late fee, not much considering the 5k bill that I ended up with, which already 3k had been paid immediately. I called them the day the bill came in the mail and one of the guys answered. I talked with him and told him that I had been waiting for this for a while now to take care of it. He understood my frustration with the late fee and assured me that it would be taken off which was very nice. I want to be clear that I had no issues with service provided by the plumbers, diggers, or survey people. My issue really lies with the billing. When I called to pay, I was told that they had emailed me the new quote. I informed her that I hadn't received an email from them since May 6th. I was dismissed and told "whatever". I don't feel that is the kind of attitude you should have with a costumer who not only paid 3k upfront which was the full original quote but has also been waiting to pay the requote since, which I paid in full today.

I left messages for the 3 most recommended companies in town. Wood Chucks was the first to call back and come out to give us an estimate, which was very reasonable for the amount of work involved. On the day work started they walked through the property with my husband and marked what was to be removed. The crew worked quickly and cautiously-we were really impressed by their efficiency. Most of the job was done in one day and they returned day 2 to take down the remaining very large trees. And they cleaned up and hauled away all the debris - even sweeping our driveway clean - and kindly loaded logs our neighbor asked for onto his trailer for him. Everyone associated with Wood Chucks was friendly, personable and really knew what they were doing. Chuck and his crew went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and that we were happy with the results, and we would recommend them without hesitation!
