Mind you if it was a bad pub you probably would know about it, but this pub was neither - it was basically okay. It wasn't hugely crowded, so that was a good thing, and it also has live music, however it isn't one that I am going to hurry back to any time soon.

Special shout outs to Pia, Vincent, Yella, and several others whose names I have unfortunately forgotten. Cabron's staff certainly has the right attitude to create a festive, party atmosphere. Sit quietly or meet new friends, and smile as you do it, saving enough money to want to leave a tip. Can't wait to get back there. Hugs and kisses

There used to be a time when every 'volks café' in Antwerpen had his organ. Times change and an…read moreorgan had to make place for the jukebox and later on a crappy dj set with an even more shitty DJ. Café Beveren is different they kept their organ and for 50 cent, a little orchestra will play your favorite classics and even some crappy hits like the Ketchup song. The place is cool but all those Dutch tourists are so irritating. Another shitty review by the shitty guide of Antwerpen.

Actually, what was annoying was that the outside area was pretty packed which meant that we ended up having to sit inside, which wasn't a bad thing, but the European outside experience is much better than it is in Australia (in many cases they try to be European and fail abyssimally - for some reason I simply don't like sitting on sidewalk seats in Australia). Anyway, this is basically a beer bar, and a pretty cool one at that. When I was there it was pretty quiet (except for the fact that there were no seats outside) but it had a pretty nice atmosphere and a great interior. Personally I probably can't say all that much beyond that, expect that it was pretty cool and I really enjoyed it.

Seats at the bar, around the bar, and in several quirky rooms located through the place. It has a old world charm and vibe. Being in a neighborhood, it's popular with locals not tourists, which are the places I actively seek out. Prices are very good, the sausage snack was fantastic. The people are friendly, which is something I always appreciate when traveling alone. They have a big selection of snacks or meals, but I was here at 430 so just had the sausage. Softly in the background they have old records from the 40s playing which adds to the charm. I highly recommend this place. Be sure to see Cogels Osylei two blocks away!
