I also suspect them to be using illegal monomer and i will be reporting them. My nails had a strange fruity odor and the product they used burned and itched. Despite cutting me i still gave them another chance and when they were removing my previous acrylic they chipped it off with a cuticle cutter instead of soaking it off, while doing so they cut me AGAIN. This is when i knew they were using illegal product because they did not want to soak my nails off and opted for chopping away at my hand resulting in another injury. I will NEVER step foot in this business again.

It was way lighter than what it looked in the bottle, so i asked her if you'd be able to see the dark polish she left on the side of my nails. She said no and kept painting. I then asked her just to put the darker color back on and she freaked out. Started yelling, and was rough painting them. After i went to the front to get my nails painted the lady kept going on and on and yelling so loud that the guy in the back came out. I sat in the chair the rest of the time crying. Most awkward experience ever. And my polish smeared as soon as i left. Didn't even paint them good. Wouldn't waste your momey on these people. No wonder why it was empty when i was there. I trusted their professional judgment, but they used a metal, cheese-grater-like foot file on that area, which was extremely painful. After the appointment, I looked into Colorado regulations and became concerned because I believe the tool and technique used may not be permitted under state cosmetology rules. I feel my concerns about the sensitive area should have been taken more seriously, and I should have been informed before something that painful was done. The polish application was also disappointing. My toenails looked sloppy and did not have the clean, professional finish I expected from a pedicure. Overall, I left feeling unhappy with the quality of the service and the level of care I received. I won't be returning.
