My sorority sisters and I used a Facebook group called "Loudmouths" for our repeated trips to the Louder Than Life music festival in Louisville, and had trusted Uber drivers on our Facebook group to take us to and from the three day event. Because the festival is so hugely attended, the costs of everything skyrocket. Uber pricing does too! The Loudmouths helped us a. ensure we were getting a legitimate driver/ride for each Uber we took, and b. ensured we were charged the fees we arranged up front. I was surprised how many unethical Uber drivers there were in Louisville. Color me naive. Several times I nearly entered the wrong vehicle. I was grateful there were three of us to help keep it all on the up and up. My Uber in the Atlanta area was much appreciated! Anytime I have the opportunity to not drive in the Atlanta area is a blessing! This was a one-way trip, the driver arrived on time as promised, and charged the promised fee. It was an Uber win! The app is useful, easy to navigate, and Uber offers Uber Eats where they deliver restaurant meals (and I believe groceries) to your home/business. I do hope its true we have Uber available in Athens, Alabama. Our neighboring sister, Huntsville, Alabama has had Uber for years. Likely Huntsville has Lyft, too.

At the outset, we were quite pleased that the experience was going very well. On this one particular evening, we had an experience where the driver took a long time to arrive, then pulled up on the opposite side of the busy two-way street and just stared at us instead of attempting to pull up to the actual address. Mind you, we were wearing stilettos, so navigating traffic was dicey and uncomfortable. After finally making our way across the busy street near the trending, novel restaurant, where we dined, we reached to open the car door and the driver abruptly sped off. His actions seemed so calculated, The way he patiently waited for the approach and left as he did was completely insane. The situation was unjustified. Needless to say, we found his behavior both astonishing and frightening. Not only could he have run over our feet, but he also jeopardized our safety by having us cross the busy street to access his car. We were neither reimbursed for the failed dispatch nor his despicable behavior. Aside from that horrible experience, all of the other driver's followed protocol while understanding what it means to work for a ride sharing service. Four stars for the drivers who were outstanding.

I travelled with G7 wheelchair accessible taxis twice, the first time (from train station to our hotel) was ok, no issue - there was only 2 of us with little luggage. The second time a few days after (from our hotel to CDG airport) was pretty disappointing. We booked one day in advance, was confirmed through the phone that the taxi would be sufficient for 3 people (one on wheelchair) and 6 pieces of luggage - we were very specific and repeated our request many times. The time came and the taxi showed up was barely enough for 2 person with 2 suitcases. The taxi driver complained non-stop - how was it our fault??? The third person in our group had to catch another taxi. The most annoying part was when the taxi driver refused to take my own suitcase but took my friend's (the one catching the other taxi) because my friend's was smaller and lighter. My friend who was a small girl was able to carry my suitcase so how could the driver - a big strong man - not? So rude and lazy!!! We needed to get to the airport on time so didn't have time to going back and forth with him. So in the end my friend had to carry my suitcase with her on the other taxi and left hers with us...

The day was amazing and everything went to plan, until the journey back to the airport. There were no trains from Paris to CDG airport so we were stuck at Gare Du Nord station trying to find a bus. After several failed attempts we decided to get a taxi so as not to miss our flight. Google Maps suggested Chauffeur Privé and said it would cost around 45 euros. So I downloaded the app and managed to find a taxi driver nearby. After we booked, he called to say he was nearby. He came in good time, despite some traffic and confirmed that we would get to the airport in time. I was happy with this, but I was soon very alarmed by his driving. I know that Paris has a reputation for erratic drivers, but he was beyond that. On 4 different occasions throughout the journey he nearly crashed into other cars. On two of those occasions he raced after the cars and wound his window down to hurl abuse at the drivers, gesturing and swearing. While doing this he did not have his eyes on the road. We felt very unsafe. He did get us to the airport on time, but we were a bit shaken up and it was not a nice end to what had been a lovely day for us. I then learned that I was being charged 75 euros for the journey which I find appalling as I was quoted a cheaper price. I complained via the app and was at first offered an email apology. Then after expressing my dissatisfaction again, I was offered 5 euros of credit to my account on the app and 200 loyalty points. I explained that I have no use for this as I was only visiting for a day and will not use the app again, but they didn't seem to care and said they could do nothing else. I also think 5 euros is a disgusting offer as they had hiked up the price so much in the first place and also showed how little they care about the safety of their passengers. If you value your life and your money, use another company such as Uber or a local taxi driver. If you use this company, you'll probably live to regret it, if you live at all! André

This guy saved my life: I should have given him a tip, but he was the owner and actually not cheap…read more This is a motortaxi company, and when I landed in CDG last Monday, all I knew was that I had to get as fast as I could to the office where my colleagues were heading (they left on the plane one hour ahead of me). Problem: apart from the name of the avenue and the company (AXA: is there a street in Paris without?), I knew nothing. The motortaxi guy gave me a warm coat, gloves, a hairnet and a helmet and off we went to av. de Messine. It really was the fastest way to get there and quite comfortable (I felt like Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider). The driver had an I-Phone with Internet on which he could find the exact address - there were three AXA buildings in that street - and I got there in the end before my colleagues. Hurrah for good service!
