The dining area offers a variety of seating including a comfy couch & book nook as well as dining tables. I always see a joyous group of ladies playing games at a round table in the corner. Jane gave me the wifi, a delicious coffee, and even provides me with an extension cord if my seat is not near an outlet. The owners are passionate about glass etching and have many of their pieces hanging around the shop for viewing and for sale. Two sandwiches, two bags of chips, and two bottles of water was bout 25$. They got books, toys, soaps, candy, chips and sodas, and local meat and cheese for sale, and some tobacco products. I remember watching it transition from a barn that was no longer in use to the gorgeous establishment it is today. Upon driving up to the building, there are some picnic tables in the grass by the trees. The building has a couple porches for you to chose to sit on. Inside you'll find a small deli which serves breakfast from 6am-10:30am. From 11am on they serve lunch. Upstairs they have a loft which is used by different artists each week to produce local paintings/crafts. There were some lovely paintings on display today during my visit...some I wanted to take home! There is a cute coffee bar with all the fixins available. Off to one side they have seating available and a fireplace where you can sit inside and read An ever changing display of cute home food type of finds are placed all around the store. They have a few shelves with snack type of items for sale as well if you need a snack. Prices are reasonable for what they sell. I ordered the club sandwich and got it to-go. It was fantastic!! Just off Main Street this tea shop was a shining beacon. The interior is well decorated and immaculately clean - if it weren't for the pandemic, this would be such a cozy spot to slowly sip a tea. It's small inside, but jam-packed with a hundred unique musical novelties. Jewelry shaped like instruments, umbrellas with notes on them, bowties with piano keys, wine bottle holders made from actual piano keys, a small selection of vinyl records, books...one on how to tune a piano, CDs, etc... I can't remember it all, and it was quite overwhelming. I do know they didn't have a welcome mat, which is what I really wanted. I was told they'd hopefully have one by the holidays. So I'll be returning...also because it's where I travel for work. But if you're in Staunton, this shop is not to be missed. It's like a musical etsy conglomerate. Respect it.

While here, they are guided by the Institute's staff to better perform and to gain knowledge from complementing study. We have attended two or three performances and being surrounded by 50 or more stringed instruments, performed expertly, is a very special evening. It is a wonderful surprise that they are located in Staunton and not a large metropolitan area!
