I never been to this park but I looked in that area and this park looked nice and seemed to have trails for our kids hiking levels. The kids loved this park, amazing trails, not that hard that go inside the woods or along the river. Lots of scenic stops, and lots of fun in general. What made us very happy is that this park ALLOWS DOGS (a big thing in Quebec). The park is also very popular as a fishing spot, or for mushroom pickers. The entry is about 5-7$ pp and there is free parking, you can see all the details and trails on the park site, they are also very friendly (and speak English) over the phone. There are several paths, some are more magical than others. The Dog path is also the main one, which is about 6 Km of a wonderful shaded trail so even during a blazing sun and a hot day like today we could enjoy the shade, cool forest smells and not break swat. PERFECT. The trail is a good dirt/gravel road that even a good stroll can pass there and is perfect for running. Bonus there are benches and garbage bins along the trails. So what can I do here except hiking ? There are Geocaches, disc-golf, swimming pool (was still closed), running, outdoor sport, soccer 9there is a field, fishing. Bottom line a wonderful well maintained park that is a great solution for a fun and short nature escape.

I used to love this place and go a lot as a teen and young adult. One year I almost drowned,…read moreslipped and was sucked under by the current. Fire and EMT had to use a hovercraft to get to me. In the end I was ok, with minor concussion and lesions but that was the scariest time in my life. I was pinned to the bottom for what seemed like forever, feeling like it was all slipping away to fast, and all i could think about was not being able to pick up my kids on time from their dads. Thank goodness they were not with me that day. No a great place for little kids AT ALL. Just be safe. Mother nature is not one to mess around with. I will give it a 5 because it is a spectacular place, and gorgeous.

During covid they are selling bracelets for accessing the park to be able to guarantee enough safe space for everyone and keep folks healthy. The long rolling falls over smooth granite are just gorgeous. Perfect for picnics, perfect for lounging with your feet in cold water, just perfect for a day trip out of the city.

As with many nice places, users are the problem- especially when they do not understand the concept of sharing a space with others. Most recently, we were enjoying a lovely and peaceful Sunday morning stroll and picnic breakfast when the stillness was shattered by a woman (purportedly teaching some sort of class) braying like a jackass and screaming at the top of her lungs, disturbing other users and the many wonderful ducks which, ultimately, took flight at all the commotion. This place was PERFECT The trails are well kept, some picnic tables/area at the edges but most of the walk is lovely, filled with people but yet feels not crowded, great views to the river, lots of birds and lots of dogs (I love places like this). I've actually helped to throw a gorgeous wedding here in the heritage buildings a number of years ago, it was challenging but so memorable and I'd highly recommend it if you're willing to do the work and deal with the constraints of the space (when they reopen). But winter here is my favourite. We love to come here cross-country skiing as a family, being on these huge trails and wild edges of the island. It's always breezy here in the summer, even hot days are soothing, the waves are wild and you just feel a release from the heaviness of the city. All the more appreciated during these crazy times.

I just returned home from my 4th visit to Voyageur, the last 3 in as many years, and it's by far my…read morefavourite place to go camping. We stay at Portage campground (there are 4 campground all together), because it's by far the most wooded and private. The lots are huge, and almost completely closed in. It's difficult to hear anyone else unless they are being very loud, which you're not supposed to do. There is a "no excessive noise at any time" rule in place. The lots are so big that we had room for 3 tents (a 3 person, a 4 person and a 6 person tent) plus a 12 x 12 screen house and two cars. We rented two lots as we were a group of 8 people, and put the picnic table from the other lot on ours and still had plenty of space for everyone to move around, set up outdoor games, and sit, distanced, around the fire. I will only plan camping trips here.
