I always feel like I'm bound to get sicker than actually get well when I come in for a check-up. I was really surprised with my experience at Healthway Medical in Greenbelt. First off, as a medical clinic inside a mall, I had low expectations. So was very happy that they provided such good service, even better than most big hospitals. You come in and it's easy to talk to the people there to find out what the steps are. If you are a new patient, you will be directed to a computer kiosk where you can enter your patient information - very modern! Then proceed to the counter where they will ask you want you what kind of doctor you need. There was less than 5 minutes of waiting time before I was escorted to the doctor's clinic by one of the staff. The doctor was very thorough with the check up and I was satisfied with the result of the treatment. Next time you need medical advice, I would highly recommend seeking it at Healthway Medical. The service there really made me smile.

I was very privileged to have experience the Healthway VIP treatment - there's a separate waiting room with TV (woohoo) and comfy coaches. Tip: make sure you bring a book or a game to play. There's always a lot of people here so you could be waiting and waiting. Also make sure to bring a bottle of water so that when the time comes and you need urine sample, you can easily give it. The whole place is well ventilated, it sometimes gets too chilly for me so I always make it a point to bring a jacket! The doctors here are very nice and super helpful - just ask away and they will try their best to answer you.

Residents in the village will probably immediately know the nurse I'm referring to. She has an incredibly rude and patronizing tone, making patients feel unwelcome from the moment they step in. Ang sama ng tingin nya. A front desk position in a clinic requires warmth, patience, and professionalism. If you don't have these qualities you simply should not be in a customer-facing role. People that come in are sick or caring for someone who is and should not have to also deal with attitude at the front desk. Then there's the pediatrician, who seems to only care about patients who either aren't using HMO or those she personally likes. We always hear her chatting and making small talk with other patients, but as soon as it's our turn, her entire demeanor changes. We get a cold reception and feel completely unwanted. On top of that, she is unnecessarily rough with our kids. When they couldn't open their mouths wide enough for her to check, she forcibly shoved a wooden stick down their throats, traumatizing them so much that they begged us never to take them back to her.

A lot has changed since my last review. Now, this hospital is only getting a rating of two stars,…read moredown from three. The main areas that need a lot of work on are the following: 1. Patient's parking - or should I say the lack of. There are a lot of parking for the doctors but the patients have to contend for theirs. 2. Replace old equipment i.e. wheelchairs that poke through to your bottom, beds that are hard to adjust, hallway seats that are too wobbly, the lack of remotes for the a/c or tv, etc. 3. Some nurses need to learn how to perform their job properly. They also need a serious attitude adjustment. If the doctors can be nice, they can too. 4. The process for discharging a patient is broken. It shouldn't take five hours from the time the doctor notifies the patient that they can go home to the actual time they're discharged. 5. It shouldn't be any business of the guards whether or not a patient is being discharged. If the nurses were doing their job properly, the guards wouldn't have to encroach on our privacy. 6. Lastly, a copy of the patients record during hospitalization should be provided upon discharge. A patient shouldn't have to ask, It should be automatic. On a lighter note, there are good doctors at this hospital. We made it a point to ask those doctors what other places do they have clinics at so we could avoid going back to this hospital and see them elsewhere.

They have a pharmacy as well. The waiting areas are comfy enough, but if you don't feel like staying there, the best part in this clinic is that it's inside Alabang Town Center, so you can do your shopping while waiting for your check-up (just make sure that you inform the doctor's assistant or the staff assigned so they can contact you when it's already your turn).

It's not a big hospital like Perpetual but they're accommodating, most especially if you're from Las Piñas and you had a green card, which entitles you to certain benefits courtesy of Manny Villar.
