A Great Family Bucket List Event! Wouldn't have thought of doing this, but any visit to southern end of Lake George makes the parasails hard to miss. Figured, why not; glad we did) SCHEDULING: 4 We visited Lake George on Tuesday & decided to parasail on Wednesday. Drove back (an hour) to see nobody PS'ing on the lake. "Closed". Cued to go online to book, which in turn 'call to schedule'. Done. CUSTOMER SERVICE: 5 Kiosks process was smooth with obligatory liability waiver, suiting up with life jacket and harness. Crew was friendly while efficient getting us situated on boat - with a final point that there is a very small possibility "you'll get wet"....so plan accordingly. Adding, "We have waterproof phone sleeves with lanyards should you wish to take those up with you for pics." (Note: competitor company advises that use of one's personal electronics is a safety hazard and banned from use on their boats - they offered a $30 photo service shot from the boat) The RIDE: Customers wait their turn to go up, turns out party of three will always to slotted to go up together to save time (max weight 500lbs). Solo flights could only happen if one is over 200 lbs. Tandems are fun with parent and kid combos. You're harnessed onto the parasail and are supporting rope is winched out hundreds of feet, pulled by along by boat. Higher than I expected. Duration is approximately 10 minutes which I didn't time - but seemed plenty enough. Crew offered a water touchdown which amounts to be let down into the lake for a momentary wetting.....and lifted back up before final boat landing. (We asked for feet only which was plenty wet for our purposes) NEXT TIME: My kids & I would definitely use Joe's service again on our next trip up to Lake George- Best value of the two vendor (personal photo op from height). What would I do different? Take wide angle selfie video of flight & ask for a deeper water touchdown mid flight. *BONUS: - Now for a 10 year old's perspective... Parasail joes was awesome. What an awesome morning parasailing. We only made reservations for 1. The owner called the night begore to make sure I was fine going up alone, i explained it was goong to be just my son. He asked his weight and I told,he thought he maybe too light to go up by himself, but would see in the morning. Morning we check in and he says my son is to light and that he would need to go ip with someone. He was very accommodating since he knew I didn't really want to go. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've been itching to try parasailing for well over 30 years. And to finally get to try it with one of my own kids next to me? With the stunning view of Lake George below us while we were high in the sky? On a perfect August morning? My limited vocabulary couldn't do it justice. Our two-man crew were aces - friendly, professional - and to watch them start the adventure and at the end put the parachute away with military-precision is impressive. The other two families on our boat with us had the same big goofy nervous smiles as me and my family had. And it's a great contrast to get to fly high (since we know sizes matters I should point out that Parasail Joe's goes a lot higher in the air than the competition!) and then to sit in the boat while the others are up up and away. My son (age 7) and I recently went parasailing Parasail Joe's on our vacation. Really fun and awesome views. Called them around 8:30am and we were on the boat and in the air by 12pm. My wife and daughter, who did not parasail, road along in the boat as well. Staff was professional and really friendly. They also took tons of pictures and video with our phones while we were up in the air. Therefore, there was no need to purchase a supplemental "photo package". Nice added value in my book. My friend, her mom, and myself all wanted to try parasailing for the first time. We called parasail joe and were able to go almost immediately. Needless to say, we were all pretty nervous. But as soon as we got on the little boat, our minds were eased by two guys who were taking us on our adventure. We were helped into the harnesses and then clipped onto the sail. Then away we went! It wasn't even scary to my friend who is afraid of heights. One of the guys on the boat used my phone to take a video and a bunch of pictures of us. He was amazing. This experience was one of the best ones so far in my life. The cost of this costs 70-90 dollars which I thought was pricey, but actually worth it because you stay up there for a while. The people working on the boat were so friendly and also took pictures for me. I was s but scared at first, but it was very safe and secure. The view was outstanding, you got to see miles and miles of things with a nice breeze. At the end they also could purposely dip your feet into the water for fun, which I loved. Their speedboat was very clean and great condition. Would recommend to try in the summer! read more

After researching parasailing options at Lake George we decided this was the place to go. We called ahead and booked for the next day. We had 8 riders so they gave us our own boat. Street parking was a breeze at 9am. We were paid, life jacketed and on our boat within 10 minutes and back on land within an hour. We had a triple, two doubles and a single. Four rides were all done in about an hour. They let us take all the pictures and video we wanted at no extra charge, another parasail place here does not allow that. Guides were friendly and professional. So peaceful and quiet with an amazing view, especially Tea Island. Definitely an enjoyable highlight of a lovely trip. read more

They got to know each passenger a bit and asked about their day/ vacation. We were in Lake George for The Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's parade and we decided on the spur of the moment that we didn't want to go home right away, so as we were thinking about what to do, I was watching people parasail with these adorable smiling parasails. I would have given 5 stars but I was a little disappointed and surprised that we couldn't get a slight discount for coming with a group of 4 and we were literally there about 30 minutes before close time. Also I felt the ride and our parasailing time was pretty short but other than that it was a cool adventure and our captain and his coworker were both great and I felt very comfortable with them. They also took awesome pictures of my wife and I as we were parasailing. My mom and son went up on a different boat and there guy took absolutely terrible pictures of them but this review is for my ride not theirs. I guess tip accordingly ;) read more

These guys were great. We went early on a weekday and they let my wife go along for the ride even though she didn't want to parasail. They didn't have to do that and in fact the other place we checked wanted to charge her a full price to do so. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. It was a lot of fun. We did the Minne HaHa later that day and they recommended them - and you get a discount for mentioning the captain's name. If you do them both do the boat ride first and save a few bucks on the parasailing. read more
