I was SO dissapointed in this version of Cirque de Soleil (Paranormal Cirque). It was just cheesy amateurish aerial accounts and it was not an enjoyable experience. It was vulgar for the most part and felt myself clapping just to go along with the crowd. I have seen the actual Cirque de Soleil and it was breathtaking. This is was just a version of a cheap haunted house. Don't waste your money, wait for an actual Cirque show. This Paranormal Cirque is just a company trying to capitalizing on it's name. Save your money, you won't be impressed, it's not for kids under 13, and the acts seemed rushed and not well executed. I was ready to walk out if not for what I had paid for the tickets. Save yourself the money and dissapointment. I wish I could say it was great but it was a dud. read more

With a winter storm warning in effect, I guess as PT Barnum would say, "the show must go on".......STRIKE ONE! We reluctantly went, had row 1 tickets yet somehow in Paranormal Cirq's World, row one actually means row 3.....STRIKE TWO!! With the Winter Storm Warning in effect, the 7:30 show started at 7:53 and when the intermission started at 8:52, Paranormals incessant and obnoxious push to sell pictures, merchandise, food and drink took another 27 minutes before Act 2 started at 9:19pm......STRIKE THREE!!! Now, while we should have been OUT during this historically long intermission, we did stay until the end.....The Show itself? Decently entertaining......I could not get over this clown like person walking the venue and talking loud to the audience WITHOUT A MICROPHONE clipped to his shirt.......very difficult and at times impossible to hear, even in this smaller venue.....SOME very talented individuals, but far more time fillers so Paranormal Cirque Inferno in Grand Prairie, Texas could extend the show, thus giving them more time to peddle their merch read more

(Attended New York: Smithaven Mall Performance) covered below is "performance, seating, food, tips" The performers are so talented and put on a great show! This is an adult show, so no children allowed. It's a dark performance with a horror theme, but nothing that is "too disturbing." (There was an accidental face on fire incident, but she quickly put it out.) We saw usual circus performances, each with their own wow factor grand finale! The adult part of it is nothing too serious, anyone who said otherwise is a "fuddy duddy" and over exaggerating. There is performer/guest interaction, which brought a lot of humor to the show. Seating: This is a round stage, they fill in left center and right of the stage. Here's the thing...center row sees it all, left and right is going to miss a few elements. The performance is very centered, and they don't stand in every direction, if you are to the left and right, you are watching them from the side. When we bought our tickets, we were in the "red section" center row. These seats were perfect for us, no complaints. We sat on the end seats, and had no obstructions. There are seats from the front all the way to the back in every section that will have obstructions from the thick support beams, be mindful of this when buying the tickets. The seats are very(compact) close together, we were comfortable but this isn't a movie theater, your neighbor is your new friend. Food: I attempted to buy popcorn, I bought it right before we sat in our seats. I took a bite and it was inedible stale. The awesome cashier quickly let me get a refund and apologized. Great customer service! We did buy chocolate covered strawberries on a stick, which were phenomenal by the way! I think they were $10, so worth it! Water was your average cost for an event. Tips: 1. This is a CASH ONLY event, make sure to bring enough for refreshments and souvenirs. 2. BEFORE YOU GO: bring a reliable portable fan, there is no proper cooling and it is the summer! We bought ones from Dicks Sporting Goods that suck in air and comes out cool on the top...it hangs from your neck, worked great! 3.Get there early! There is a full contact haunted house. It is a minute long, and they will touch you, and there are jump scares. We don't scare easily, so we enjoyed the scenery and acting. People were getting scared, though! read more

I don't know if I would even give this experience a 2 except that some of the performers were phenomenal. The tent was stifling hot and smelled like fresh paint, on a not really hot evening. We had a partial view that I would not have paid 10 dollars for. The concessions were sketchy, cash only, and expensive. The show was not scary at all and there was no nudity. You can take your 10 year old if you don't mind them seeing a man running around in giant underwear on stage, being funny. read more

Very amateurish. I was expecting a much more polished and entertaining show. We left halfway through. I really don't have words for how disappointed I was. Nice tent from the outside, but it only takes a few minutes to see how cheap and cheesy the whole setup is. The equipment was in disrepair, looked cheap and out of place. We went to the 3:30 show today in wrentham. Doors open about a half hour before. Porta potties for restrooms- no paper towels for the sinks ): They will seat you- it's super tall when you walk in the tent. Only vendor there is for masks and they are mass produced. There is concession but it's pricey. $6 for a small popcorn, $4 for a water. You aren't allowed to bring anything in and yes they check bags. Wish I followed the other reviews saying the popcorn was stale- it was. Like the kind of popcorn you get out of a bag at the grocery store, not freshly popped. I tossed mine. Wait for intermission and get the chocolate covered strawberries on a skewer. 4 good sized berries were $10- and they were fantastic. Bring cash. No cards are accepted there. Seats are small and cramped but it was ok for us with end seating. Great views all the way around. The talent was awesome and the comedy hilarious. The cabaret was just ok- maybe it's because I dance but they just weren't together all the time. It's edgy. It's dark. It's funny. It's adult. Checked all the boxes for a fantastic 2 hour show. If a dildo being part of an act bothers you- this isn't the show for you. Yes it's a little loud and was warm in there in the beginning. But we had a great time. Would defiantly go again. read more

It drowned out the amplified voices of the performers. 2. The female dancers were *hefty". 3. The performers played to the center of the audience. The audience kn the sides couldn't see (or hear) what was going on. 4.The acrobats were good, but I've seen that hundreds of times. 5. Nearly all the skits were rather lame, not original, and poorly executed. 6. Intermission continued for an overly long time as people lined up to pay for photographs with the performers. It's a scam, and they are counting on people not researching actual reviews (versus the fake reviews). I left at intermission, but wish I had walked out sooner. I literally reported the show to the police, due to the sexual assaults that occur during the *horrible* nun act, involving 3-5 different audience members who had their genitals groped. Seedy, amateurish, mostly boring or cringe level "filler". It felt exploitive, dangerous, and uncomfortable. I feel like something should be done to stop this show, to be honest. LOVED! I'm a big fan of Cirque du Soleil and acrobatic type performances, so once I heard about Paranormal Cirque I had to check it out. The show was excellent. The acts were diverse and the performers were very talented at their various skills. There was an act with whips cracks, all different type of acrobatics, a balance wheel, and even one where the performers were on roller skates on a platform! Each act had a slightly different theme that contributed to the overall theme of spooky and provocative 'paranormal' and the accompaniment music was pretty epic as well. The MC in between the acts was also fantastic. He was hilarious and really played his part incredibly well! The timing of this event is rather peculiar. It was playing in January while there are still Christmas lights and holiday decorations. It would be more appropriate in September/October around Halloween time, but this didn't diminish the quality of the event by any means. They did have a bar (liquor, wine & beer), as well as snacks for purchase. You could also buy halloween-type masks and get paranormal-themed make up done if you wanted! Please note this is an ADULT event. It stipulates no one under 13, and 13-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. I think it's fine for teens, but please leave your younger kids at home for this one. There isn't nudity, but there are adult themed jokes & props as well as scantily-clad dancers. Overall I would absolutely recommend Paranormal Cirque. It's something different and pretty cheap to do for date night or an outing with friends! read more

We saw the show on a random Monday evening in Thousand Oaks, CA. A sleepy california city where nothing really ever happens. Situated near the Thousand Oaks Mall the huge circus tents are impossible to miss from the freeway. Check-in Process: Tickets were purchased online prior to the show and are scanned when you walk through the front of the tent. Easy. Pre-Show: Instantly you are scared as walk through the meatlocker like curtains by loud bangs. Actors in wedding dresses slowly walking through the pre-show area, a graveyard with actors walking around. A crazy doctor finding the right time to yell and jump at you. Of course there is merchandise and overpriced food if that's what you need. We arrived 30 minutes before the show and it was funny to watch all the new arrivals get as scared as we did walking through and pretending to ignore the dressed up monsters. This could have really been done MORE, more scares honestly, more actors really feed into the Horror thing.. Big Top: Honestly as you walk through to the seating area its about what you would expect. Decent size, non stadium seating with semi-hard chairs. We paid for the 8th row in the center which were around $40.00 a piece. Once we sat down being the short people we are we knew we were in trouble... we had a woman who was sadly large enough to take two seats sit next to us and a behemoth of a woman sit in front of us. Double Fail.. luckily since it was a Monday show it was nowhere near sold out, so we were able to move to an area where we could get an unobstructed view. Show: The show itself had some real high's for sure a lot of the acts were actually really good. We have seen nearly every Vegas Cirque show and there were things in this show we had never seen before... the rollerskating and the sword swallower were both fantastic. Lump in the amazing acrobats and it was quite a show. As the show progresses however you start to see the cracks, specifically the juggler who dropped things quite a few times and the tightrope walker slipping up. The two cohost's were pretty bad for the most part and the audience interaction was just a waste of time. With the exception of a part i won't spoil in the second act that did have us rolling. Overall as a complete show i can easily give it a 7 out of 10. Bringing Kids: I brought my 14 and 17 year olds along for the show and honestly I have no clue what everyone is complaining about.. what kind of bubble are you raising your kids in.. Yes there is cussing, yes there is women in lingerie, yes there are a couple of minor scare's.. BIG DEAL. There was none of what is complained about in other reviews whatsoever. We all had a FANTASTIC Time Bathrooms: Porta Potties obviously and as gross as you would expect haha Pricing: They do have kids discount of $10 which was a great money saver and allowed us to get what were more expensive seats. If this show comes to your hometown I highly recommend it. Would i see it again probably not. read more

Went to this today. I was pretty disappointed. We paid $160 for four people. The show was supposed to start at 3:30. It actually started about 3:50. By 4:15 there was an intermission, probably between 15-20 minutes. 4:40ish show started again and was over by 5:15. The stage, costumes, etc just seemed cheesy and raggedy. The only scary parts were the characters in the lobby and the maze. The show itself was nothing spectacular. Roller skating, juggling, some kind of swinging on ropes, singing and clowns throwing huge beachballs in the crowd. The lady singing walked around and flirted with the guys. The ladies who came out to dance didn't seem very into it. Lots of bending over in thongs. Ladies crawling on the floor in lingerie. Then the weirdest thing. A guy came out in his underwear and grabbed a persons cell and pretended to take pics of his junk. Why? I don't know. The atmosphere seemed more burlesque to me than scary. Lots of thongs, sex jokes. That kind of stuff. It's an R rated show so it's what was expected I suppose. Honestly this was an 18 and over show but the acts and "comedy bits" were geared to the jr high crowd. It's very expensive inside and cash only. $5 for a water. We paid $25 for a small popcorn and two sodas. During intermission you could line up to go on stage with "Michael Meyers" and take a picture with him flipping you off. The seats are tiny. You are really packed in there. Very hot. They did put up a fan on the railing which was right next to me so that helped. BUT the fan was huge and my hair was blowing everywhere and kept getting in my eyes. I spent most of the show holding back my hair. Some people will love this show but it wasn't for me. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I went last night to the Albuquerque show only because my boyfriend wanted to go. My experience was generally like the other 1 and 2 star reviews. There wasn't any crotch grabbing by performers that I saw but otherwise, cheesy acts. Nothing paranormal about it. A lot of juggling. Big safety issues with the hamster wheel act as there was no floor cushioning in event of a fall. At least, we didn't have to pay for parking at the mall. Nothing scary about it either. We walked thru the haunted house portion and someone who was either a midget or a child grabbed me. I told him not to touch me and instead he began following me too closely while stabbing me with a fake knife. I had to grab him and shake him and tell him to get away. Save your money. read more

A few pointers before I get into how the show was... Want to bring your kids? Don't. Be a smart parent. It says 13 years and older allowed. If you don't want your kid to hear cursing, sexual words, seeing women in thongs and bras.... think before you buy. Paranormal is not the way to describe the show. Horror is more like it, calm but horror. People walk around the first tent, throwing fake heads towards your face for jump scare, you hear whip cracking, performers hiding for more jump scare. If that's not your thing, don't go. I had front seat tickets, dead center. Which is cool but it was soooo loud, we left half way through. I came back a couple days later to see it again in different seats. I recommend middle back area for seats, not the side of the stage. It is still super loud. If you have noise sensitivity, come prepared. I personally enjoyed it all. It's a smaller production but fun. The performers are friendly and will take pictures with you prior to the show. The absolute WORST cirque show that I've ever seen. 1. It's June 1st and no AC under a tent with hundreds of people was unacceptable. The fans did nothing to circulate the air- I thought I was going to pass out. The act with the guy on the motorcycle took air quality situation from bad to worse. The gasoline fumes filled the tent, leaving us struggling to breathe. 2. The guy dancing around in the women's lingerie was just plain stupid and a waste of time. He took up a major chunk of the show. After about an hour in, I figured the shows wasn't going to get any better. 3. I found the women's outfits it to be uncalled for and inappropriate. Their asses were already exposed, my question is why did they feel that they the need to bend over and show us more? This performance lacked sophistication- which is what I expected from all of the other shows that I've seen. If you've seen a number of really good Cirque shows, this one will only definitely disappoint you. The acrobatics were amateur-ish. Some good, but most unimpressive. I mean, juggling, really? Before the show, they made an announcement that you aren't permitted to leave once the show starts. Thank goodness for the intermission, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Don't waste your time and money. It was basically just female strippers twirling around. There were a couple good acts and one very good act, but even that one ran on for far too long and got boring after 10 minutes of the same gimmick and some serious sexual harassment towards the audience. Other than some ripped and ragged clothing with a bunch of fake blood thrown on them and some demonic references, there really wasn't a whole lot that was "paranormal" about it. There really wasn't much "circus" about it either, it definitely had more of a magic show vibe to it. The seating was insanely uncomfortable. By intermission, my tush was hurting and by the end of the show, I could hardly stand due to bum and back pain. The concession was very overpriced and sneaky by blacking out their price list on their menu board and only providing a small paper list once you're already at the counter. $10 (Canadian) for a small popcorn is outrageous for popcorn that I'm told wasn't even all that good. I will admit to 3-4 good acts though. overall, I'd rate it a 3/10 and would not recommend. read more

It was not Cirque du Soliel level at all. The only good thing was the tent, the staff was helpful and the advertising/marketing. We got there and the temperature in the actual tent was probably like 85-90 degrees (hotter than outside). We got some fans which made it barely tolerable but then the show started and we lasted about 40 minutes. The acts were very basic, and kind of trashy. There were girls with thongs that were not circus performers...made me feel like I was at a trashy strip joint. There were a few acts that were okay at best but made me feel like we could all do their acts with just a bit of practice. There was a "comedic interlude" character guy that spoke Italian and picked on audience members but he didn't do anything funny. My wife and I waited for something interesting to happen but couldn't take it anymore and left 40 minutes in. We were thankful we did. read more
