I won the tickets from Yelp and I can't thank them enough. Every seat in the show is designed to see the performance from a great angle. The stage is circular and the artists sort of rotate in a way that no matter if your sitting in the last row or the first, you will enjoy it. You can buy the tickets online and the show is still currently being featured until February 4 2018. (I think) My favorite act was the one where they used bicycles and did some amazing acrobatic things with them. I always enjoy the singing or music aspect of Cirque Du Soleil as well. Side Note: Parking is convenient and always monitored by the employees, so your vehicle will not get stuck or no one will block it. It was cash or you can use your sun pass sticker which makes it $5 cheaper. VOLTA is here for a little while longer in Miami, go check it out to get amazed by the performances.~

Oh VOLTA…read more This show is unlike any other Cirque Du Soleil show I've seen yet. This show has everything you expect from a Cirque show and more. The show has high flying aerialist and acrobats performing hoop diving, rings and even slackline. Jump ropers who go as fast as the light on the rope - and BMX riders that can perform tricks on their bikes that will leave your jaw on the ground. This show incorporates technology in the show with the lighting and use of projection on the stage to show "memories". The show is well constructed and has a great storyline behind it. The greys, the free spirits and the super elites. The costumes in this show are unique with each grouping mentioned above, as each costume has a different representation. The music in the show is great, it is something that can be listened to often and you would not know that it belong to a Cirque Du Soleil show. The Grand Chapiteau (the big top) is designed differently than the traditional colors of the big top which are usually a yellow gold and a dark blue. Volta has a grey big top tent and then they associate with lights so the tent changes colors which is neat to see at night time. The show is great for a girls night out, date night with a significant other or a day out with the kiddos. Just remember to find your free spirit.

I learned so much in every single class I took. In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. I highly recommend this studio to all dancers and artists who are eager to learn and perfect their craft.

I also look forward to their professionally-mounted recitals every year.

They followed my song list perfectly and even went the extra mile to learn and incorporate a few Brazilian songs, which meant so much to me and made the night feel incredibly personal. The energy they brought was unmatched. Every set was packed with bangers, the dance floor stayed full all night, and our guests haven't stopped raving about them. I've received so many glowing (truly glorious) reviews of the band since the wedding. If you want a band that delivers incredible talent, seamless execution, and an unforgettable party, Tropics Entertainment is the way to go. I can't recommend them enough!

Hiring Vinyl for our wedding was a decision we were incredibly excited about. After watching their…read morevibrant promotional videos and receiving a glowing recommendation from a trusted colleague, we felt confident that this world class band would deliver an unforgettable performance. Sadly, what we experienced was a complete letdown that cast a shadow over our special day. From the beginning, we worked closely with the band to create a setlist that would reflect the tastes of our 600 guests. Vinyl provided us with a list of over 200 songs, and my wife, my parents, and I spent hours curating a precise selection that we felt would keep the energy high and create the perfect atmosphere. This was a priority for us because music sets the tone for the entire evening. The least we expected was that the songs we painstakingly selected would be the ones played. Unfortunately, once the celebration got underway, it became clear that none of our chosen songs were being performed. As the groom, I was understandably overwhelmed with hosting so many guests, but I couldn't ignore the fact that the music was completely off. Every time the band started a new song, I found myself looking around, confused, thinking, "What is this song? This wasn't on the setlist!" It wasn't just a matter of personal taste--these were songs that didn't resonate with the crowd and did nothing to match the vibe we envisioned for the evening. My friends, who eagerly attack the dance floor at every wedding with thriving enthusiasm, were visibly less lively which I attribute directly to the choice of the songs - that were all very 50s/60s esque. My father, who was also acutely aware of the issue, spent much of the night trying to address this with the band and their manager, but nothing changed. It felt like no one in the band had the presence of mind to notice that the energy on the dance floor was lacking due to their song choices. It was incredibly frustrating and stressful to have this concern nagging at me throughout what should have been the happiest night of my life. I was literally counting the seconds until they got off and we had our DJ start his set. To make matters worse, the band's post-wedding response was equally frustrating. When we reached out to them to discuss the issue, instead of taking responsibility, they shifted the blame to our (world class) venue, (high profile) Party Planner and (venue trusted) AV Vendor. The band's manager claimed that they were playing from the approved setlist, which simply was not true. In fact, I'd estimate that only about 20% of the songs they played were from our curated list. For a 90-minute set, this meant that the majority of what was performed had absolutely nothing to do with what we had requested. Considering the time and care we had put into this, it was beyond disappointing. The band also blamed their poor performance on not having a proper mic check, which they said was the responsibility of the venue and AV team. I can say with confidence that this was a baseless excuse. We worked with a world-class event team that regularly handles high-profile weddings and events. They are absolute professionals, and it was clear that the problems we experienced were entirely due to the band's lack of preparation and inability to read the room. The bottom line is that Vinyl and Tropics Entertainment failed to meet even the most basic expectations we had for our wedding music. We paid a premium for a band we believed would deliver a first-rate experience, and instead, we got a performance that felt disconnected and indifferent. What could have been a night full of joy and celebration was tainted by the ongoing frustration of hearing song after song that had no place at our event. I sincerely hope that anyone considering hiring Vinyl for their event thinks twice and makes sure they clearly define the expectations and what is required from each party. For us, it wasn't just about the money--it was about entrusting a major part of our wedding to a company that ultimately let us down.

Found a RuPaul's Drag Race elimination round watch party. And this is how I learned about Villain Theater! From what I gathered, there is quite a variety of programming here like improv and comedy shows A friend and I met up here for the big event. I've been familiar with Little Haiti for decades but admittedly haven't kept up with what's going on since the area started changing. All that to say, I went in totally blind. Well, honey. Villain Theater opened my eyes! Wide open, in a great way. There is a lobby/waiting area with a concession stand and restrooms. The theater inside is dark with low lighting, plenty of seating and a stage that is easily viewable from any seat in the room. On the evening I visited, not only was there the RPDR watch party with amazing hosts, there was even an all-out revue! Now, I wasn't expecting this. Nevertheless, it was certainly an entertaining and tasteful experience with expert performers as well as amateurs. Pro tip is bring plenty of cash ($1s and $5s) - I know for next time. Performers also accept tips via electronic payment. :) Villain Theater felt like an all-inclusive safe space. Everyone was welcomed in and treated with respect. I highly commend the staff and hosts for doing an excellent job in that regard. Major pluses were free parking, cheeeap drinks and they have popcorn!

He saw some of my Seminole gear so struck up a conversation. The play "Black Sheep" tells of a youth who was "tried as an adult" and served ten years in prison. Several characters agree Carl should not have been "tried as an adult." With prison behind him Carl is moving into his wealthy uncle and aunt's Guest House on their property. It's a tale of racism and touches, in a monologue, on elements of the Holocaust, too. This is theater of the absurd conjuring up a Jean Paul-Sartre play. Wooden barrels full of African art sculptures arrive one by one at the property because his uncle wants Carl, who is black, to feel at home. The play is also a study of the wealthy and how they are even said to "walk differently" for they have no worries. Also at the property is Carl's cousin Max who likes going into the guest house to "be alone." The uncle's wife seems to have a romantic interest in Carl as does Max's fiancé so Carl is rather popular with the ladies. The uncle is concerned that "people" are disappearing yet his uncle and aunt try to separately enlist Carl's help making people "disappear." There is a lot of talk of family and this riveting play will have one wondering just what sort of family this is. If you are into law, know this play touches upon Criminal Law and Wills & Trusts. Throughout it people appear and disappear in the barrel(s) from Africa. Due to sexual content I'd categorize this play as an explicit "R." That is I wouldn't bring Grandma (Abuela) to see. Contact Roderick Randle, Box Office Manager, for Group sales tickets if you want. Tiny theater is located directly on Main Street, Miami Lakes.
