The horse I rode is named Misty, she was sweet and needed very little instruction from me. She followed the other horses nicely. The trail itself was beautiful and peaceful. We got to see some wildlife, rabbits, ground squirrels and quail. After the ride, Kim and David set up a fire pit in the middle of the horse corral with some chairs. We had s'mores and good conversation while the horses wondered around among us. It was a perfect evening and night and I would definitely do it again.

My 15 year old niece was nervous, but really enjoyed the whole experience! My 8 year old nephew is slightly on the spectrum and gets incredibly nervous around people and animals. He was timid at first, but David and Kim were incredibly patient and have way of speaking to the kids that builds trust. When asked if he would ride the horse at the beginning of the lesson he said "no.". When David told him that's completely ok, he started asking a lot of questions and became increasingly comfortable with David (and Silver) throughout the lesson. It was heartwarming to see his interest grow so much in such a short time. And yes, he ended up riding the horse and loving it! He hasn't stopped talking about the horses and when they visit I won't take them anywhere else. This was such a wonderful experience from start to finish, thank you!!

I booked this trip through Nellis Outdoor Rec. It was horrible. We were scheduled to go yesterday…read moreand it rained the entire day, miserable, cold, pelting downpour. I kept checking my email to see if they would do the sensible thing and allow us to reschedule the trip to another time. Because who wants to ride a horse in a downpour? But I guess they wanted us to either not show up (so they can keep our money) or show up and do the half ride (because the horses were miserable in the rain and wanted to go back and the guests were equally miserable and they still get to keep all our money). Upon arrival, this "guide" came out, Gecko. He didn't offer helmets and was annoyed when I asked for one. He offered very basic instructions to a group of inexperienced riders. He demanded tips right off the bat instead of focusing on delivering good service first. He also took one single horrid photo of me when I was not ready and not prepared. It was a disappoint experience where we didn't get to experience any sunsets or good views, had to ride in the pelting cold rain, and felt very neglected for by our guide.

It's such an awesome deal. Shuttle ride from and to major casinos, sunset horse riding, delicious 16 oz ribeye steak cooked to perfection, and s'mores. I honestly didn't have high hopes for the food, but it was delicious and everything was made in house. Tyree, our guide, was friendly, personable, and a comedian throughout the whole experience. The 3 wranglers were also super friendly and they made everything enjoyable. The canyons truly look beautiful and surreal, it was refreshing to take it all in and not being on my phone. It's something everyone should experience at least once. After we were done riding, we ate, gathered around the fire pit, made s'mores, and had some more laughs with everyone and Tyree. I will definitely be back!

We got rained on a little bit, but we came prepared with our cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and rain jackets -- and it made the whole thing feel even more authentic and fun. The staff was incredible from start to finish. Super friendly, super attentive, and so patient. Once you're on your horse, you don't get off until the very end, but the wranglers made sure we had everything we needed. We even took a little break, and they went around using everyone's own phone to snap the cutest pictures for us -- honestly, such a thoughtful touch. And I can't forget my horse, Millie. She was a little rebel, and I loved her immediately because... same. She had personality, and that made the ride even better. If you're in Las Vegas and you're not in the mood for the Strip, please do this ride. There is so much more to Vegas than casinos and clubs, and this trail ride proves it. The views, the vibes, the staff -- everything was amazing. I'd 100% do it again. Highly recommend!

Booking is very simple if you visit the libraries website and search horses 4 heroes. Some pros: All of the staff were very nice. The animals were all very nice too. There were porto potties. Some cons: the milking station was pretty gross. I peeked into the bucket of water (that feeds the udders) and there was a slime/sediment in the bottom of the bucket with mosquito larva swimming around. Not sanitary. The bedding for the goats was entirely made of poop. It must have been weeks since it has been cleaned. Not sanitary. I also think it would be nice to have hand sanitizer or a proper hand washing station directly next to the entrance for the goats for this reason in particular. The water the animals (goats and sheep) had to drink also looked cloudy and had a smell. My last complaint is that it was $10 for a horse ride that lasted maybe 2 minutes? I mean I thought for $10 they could ride a BIT longer. Especially because there was no one else waiting. I will still give this business 4 stars because of how friendly and accommodating they were. Please be aware of sanitary conditions and take proper precautions for you and your family.

I was happy she turned out all of the horses together daily because they're pack animals and are meant to be together. That gave him time to socialize and be close to other horses, he even made friends with a few. I never had to worry about Rio, I knew he was in great hands. Darlene was always very friendly and sweet. If she ever went out of town ( rarely ) I was informed and her husband did a great job of filling in for her. No frills at all. Also, none of the boarders actually ride their horses. Some ignore them, some take chairs out and sit and watch them all day. The worst part is the owner, Darlene. She is a control freak that does not believe in modern medicine or the basics, like worming or annual shots. In addition, She will not follow the vets directive on your horse and instead does whatever she thinks is best. She constantly meddles in your personal business, is nosey and gossipy.
