I also had the broccoli cheddar soup, which was on the saltier side, and the twice baked potato. Half the prime rib and nearly the whole potato came home for the next day. But let me tell you, that was some of the silliest, velvetiest potato I've ever had. Service was great. Lots of old school staff who know their stuff. Probably been there a long as some of the decor. Nice to take a step back into time, visit a local staple and have a great meal.

It was hard to find ripe ones because they were picked over. Hundreds of people must trek through every week. The peaches are better than the store bought ones. We used to have a peach tree at home before the wind destroyed it. Now, those were the sweetest peaches ever. The ones we got at the orchard were okay. They were fresh. They were also selling popsicles and donuts. I bought my husband half a dozen of the strawberry donuts. The produce stand was a bust. I wanted to get a tomato or two but none and I didn't have another hike in me. It's wonderful this place is in Las Vegas. Very well maintained.

I was not looking for halal meat, and maybe I missed the meat section but I didn't see any. What I did see (and bought some) was large flat pita style garlic bread (dense and chewy, great for dipping) and also some traditional Lamejun (Lebanese or Armenian flat bread style pizza) Haven't had any of those since I left the east coast.... They are so tasty. They also had Afghani flat bread. So I stocked up on bread and my car smelled like a middle eastern bakery on the way home.

It was cut too thick to be called crudo and the prep just wasn't sitting on the pallet well but it was a pretty presentation. The service was spot on.
