I am so thrilled I found La Campirana when I was recently in Evansville for the day. We came in at…read morelunch and it was very busy with a mixture of people which is always a good sign! You order at the counter and find a seat. They didn't give us any numbers but still found us without any issue. The salsa bar was definitely a highlight and what drew me to this restaurant. They definitely adjusted the heat in the salsas to appeal to the most people, giving warnings of very hot and extremely hot. As a spice lover the hottest one was around a medium by my standard, but the flavors were excellent. We asked for some chips to sample the salsas before our meal arrived. They tasted homemade and very good. I ordered the chicken and pastor tacos with everything (cilantro, onions, lime) and also tried the pork tamale with green sauce. My bf had a chicken burrito. Everything was excellent, but the tamale was just a tad dry, but did taste homemade which was a plus. The tacos were well seasoned and the burrito was huge so we had leftovers. The food came out fast and before we left we also ordered a mango smoothie and mango with tajin/tamarind which was the perfect sweet treat. La Campirana is an absolute gem and one you should visit immediately!

Service: No issue with the employees' attitude, they were fine. However, owners/managers should…read morere-educate these employees on what boba is. Boba is a not "the drink", boba is the chewy balls made from "tapioca". You could call boba tapioca balls if you want, they have different names such as boba, balls, boba balls, bubble, pearls, etc. but they're all boba. It has happened twice that when I ordered a drink with "boba", they asked if I meant "tapioca".- tryna correct me for the name. Yes I meant boba, the balls that are made from tapioca. Having a boba shop but not knowing what boba actually is, is actually diabolical. Managers/onwer, please re-educate your employees. And please don't tryna argue about boba with me, I'm from the place that it was originated. Drink: No comments...The only decent drink is Vietnamese coffee. Food: Haven't tried Atmosphere: Nice, the shop is nicely decorated. It looks pretty.

I have to travel over an hour to shop at this location, as we do not have one near where I live…read more(yet). Normally I have never had issues shopping at this location. Today, it was so packed with people. I was trying to choose some produce and the gentleman who was stocking the produce was TOSSING the boxes of grapes on top of the boxes of grapes. They were being slammed on top of each other. I am pretty sure that this is not healthy for the produce below these heavy boxes. I also noticed that he did that with EVERYTHING he was stocking. Not a very good work ethic. Then all the shopping around some rather rude people, I go to check out and as I walked up to the cashier and they walked away and closed their lane which forced me to self check out.... If I have to scan my own groceries, then give me at least a few free bags. Also, GROSS!!! The self checkouts where SO NASTY DIRTY!!!! I was embarrassed for the store. I loved shopping there, but if it is going to continue to be dirty, I will find another to shop at.
