This place is such a hidden gem, off the beaten path in Milford, and VERY MUCH worth driving out of the way for. This is no common shaved ice place, because honestly, im not really into that. Paradise Ice is truly authentic Hawaiian Ice. They start with vanilla ice cream on the bottom (which I really recommend getting it this way, and this way only). They then add the shaved ice, flavor, and you MUST get a ice cap (condensed milk). I prefer the tropical flavors, but that is just my personal taste. The atmosphere here is really cool as theyve gone out of their way to make it feel tropical with palm trees, hibiscus, etc. There is plenty of seating and parking, and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. Authentic Hawaiian shaved ice right here is Cincinnati. I highly recommend ordering your shaved ice the Island way. This involves a scoop of vanilla ice cream, shaved ice packed around the sides and top of said ice cream, up to three flavors of syrup, and topped with snow cap cream. I ordered mine with pineapple and guava syrup. I also added the Li Hing Mui powder. Otherwise known as dried salted sour plum powder. It was both decadent and refreshing. I am torn as to whether I should order it again. It was prefect. Yet they have so many other flavors I am interested in trying. My whole family agreed; we are in love with Paradise Ice. One of my children was even trying to bargain with us for another one. One of the owners came out to talk with us. He was a really nice guy. He told us that the line was so long on last year's closing day, that they had to stay open an additional two hours to accommodate everyone! That is customer service! He also had us drooling, and planning our next visit, with all his descriptions of upcoming flavors. Think Paradise Ice is only for the summer? Think again. Early September is when the fall flavors are released. There are about 20 new flavors released only for the end of their selling year. Many of there are richer, chocolate, and/or cake inspired flavors. The season typically runs until the first or second week in October. Closing date for the year is determined by weather. read more

Never had Hawaiian Ice before but my dad swears this place is as authentic as it can be. I got the ice that had papaya, coconut cream, and mango and I had it Hawaiian style with ice cream! Close you eyes and vision you are in Hawaii. We recently went on a Hawaii vacation in February and very happy we found this place. Yes it is not Hawaii and yes it is not quite as good as some of the places we had shaved ice in Hawaii BUT this is OHIO!! But it does have the ice cream on the bottom and a good variety of flavors a lot of Hawaii flavors. Take the trip and vision you are in paradise. You deserve it. read more

OMG!!! I finally found a snow cone that actually has the exact texture of snow like the ones served in Hawaii!! There are a ton of flavors to choose from and combo flavors. There are also several sugar free flavors. You may get a cone with vanilla ice cream as the base too. The staff are all very friendly and smiling! The place is always very clean. This place has really become a favorite of my family this summer. The prices are reasonable and they always load up on the flavor on the snow​ cones. They do take a unique take on this putting ice cream on the bottom for the brave of heart. Also, one time me and my five year old came he spilled our snow cone. Stopped by here yesterday after a hot day of baseball with the kids. It's not very aesthetically pleasing, but it's interesting. Basically it's a trailer with a couple workers inside and about four tables and some chairs. The Hawaiian music playing really sets the mood. The menu of shaved ice consist of about three dozen or so flavors from Hawaiian flavors to the normal "snow cone" flavors. You can get up to three on each order. The girls inside were very helpful and friendly. They talked me into getting pina colada, POG (which is a combination of three flavors) and blue Hawaiian. For $.50 more you can get vanilla ice cream in the bottom....highly recommend. It was amazing. The kids ate theirs so fast, it kinda speaks for itself.
