They are not the professional quality I expected and like I have in my kitchen. After using and calling around to all Fireplace companies in the Pensacola area I found Doodlebuggers, when trying to convert my wood burning fireplace into a gas fireplace (gas line already installed). I first was directed to Amanda, WHO IS AMAZING, she handles and coordinates the project. Brain and another tech came to my house, did a thorough inspection, even catching that a previous company broke building code by replacing broken old ceramic plates with metal plates. The price for two ceramic plates, fire log set, burner, and installation came to roughly $2200, which is great pricing. Only thing I didn't have them do is paint the plates, just due to the man hours that go into which drives up the price. Also, their schedule is a little further out than most but it's worth the wait, if you want it done right. Two things to note, they are the only company I found that actually installs gas burner systems! I was shocked by this when several others claim to be experts in this field?! Also, don't be deterred by them having fewer stars some companies are grouped together and don't reflect just their shop, but the entire region. For example the one that broken building code, eventually admitting to it, had 350 reviews with a 4.9 rating and I'll never use them again.

So my sister felt confident in engaging her services along with Jeffrey Spradlin at GSF&D to provide us with this gift. My sister paid all expenses that were incurred and billed: delivery fees, gas, food and lodging for all employees, including a rental car and flights home for K and her assistant. I am retired from my last career as an administrative assistant, providing 23 years of loyal service to NASA. I am not a leach, nor am I a miserable person. We have tried over and over to get the issues with our furniture resolved. Jeffrey has treated us poorly and has refused to make things right. I have given my sister updates over the months and she is beyond horrified at his latest response. Because it was a gift from my sister, Jeffrey expected me to be grateful for whatever was sent and not speak up. But I find that unfair to me and my sister. This go around, he assisted us with a solution for some rotting wood that supports our central/interior AC unit. He built an additional support to reinforce the area that the ac unit sits on which saved us a ton of money as we didn't need an ac company to come out and remove the entire unit in order for the rotting wood to be replaced. He also replaced an old ceiling fan for us. Matt is always kind and professional and he does great work. Enjoyed working with him again.
