I can't express enough how pleased we are with Superior Granite. The entire process from start to finish was absolutely wonderful! They were recommended to me by a contractor friend and since we live about 30 minutes away from their main Pensacola office, I decided to swing by another granite shop right down the street from our house. They barely acknowledged me and when they did call to give me a quote, they quoted me $75 a sq ft for mid-grade granite. When I asked why is this quote so high, she told me, and I quote, "The particular slab of granite you chose is very fragile, more fragile than others, so we have to charge more." This of course was a complete lie and I hung up the phone and immediately drove to Superior Granite. They were very busy when I arrived on a Saturday, yet still one of the owners, Wally, came right out to greet me and was ready to help me find the perfect slab of granite. I told him about my experience with the Gulf Breeze granite place and showed him a picture of the slab I had chosen there and he said "Thats a $59 a sq ft granite." I was blown away and yet he never badmouthed his competition when he explained that the granite quality is the same for all pieces...the price difference occurs with the more complex designs. Their quote was $2500 less than the place in Gulf Breeze! He proceeded to walk with me through their HUGE stock of inventory and when I didn't see exactly what I was looking for, he took me to the office and pulled up several slabs, that he had handpicked on one of his scout trips abroad, that were on a cargo ship on their way to the US and said he had one in mind he thinks I will love. He showed me the pic and it was perfect! Since I wasn't in a hurry, I could wait for the shipment to arrive. All-in-all he spent over an hour with me that day and I was sold! They called me periodically and kept me updated on when my granite would arrive and when it did I went to see it and it was exactly what I wanted! My install was scheduled for the following week and I couldn't be happier with how the install went! First of all, the two installers were personable and very skilled at what they do. They happily answered questions and went out of their way to keep my kitchen clean. We have a new range and when it stuck out further from the cabinet (due to protrusions on the back of the range) than I would prefer, he went out of his way to cut holes out of the piece of wood on the wall that supports the backsplash so that my range would slide in further. Carpentry was obviously not part of their job description, but he went above and beyond so that I would be truly satisfied with the positioning of my oven. I was so thrilled that he would go out of his way and take the extra time to measure and cut with an electric wood saw just so my range would slide in further....again this had nothing to do with his installing my granite. The other installer also cut the faucet and soap dispenser holes far enough apart to help with the cleaning, which I would have not thought about. Their attention to detail was awesome! When they had finished, I was blown away by the transformation of my kitchen and the sheer beauty of my countertops! I would recommend Superior Granite to everyone! It was such a terrific experience from start to finish!!

I called again and gave a salesperson the data right off the side of the slab and the guy was just confused as to what I could be asking about. Finally, he exclaims "Oh, it's an abbreviation!" I'm thinking: IDK!? It's YOUR inventory! Anyway, for white quartz, the price is $59/sq. If I said I'm shopping for white quartz, why tell me quartz starts at $49 if I'm going to come up there and find no white quartz for $49? Tell me during my first call that your white quartz starts at $59 or tell me what options are available for $49. Have a form email ready for bargain shoppers to show your cheapest granite and quartz. I will add that the receptionist at Superior Granite is phenomenal though. When you call a million places, someone as kind and gentle as her stands apart from the crowd.

Reef Runner handled our project unprofessionally, communicated poorly, and wasted over a year of our time. I wouldn't trust them to install a light bulb in my house. In April 2025, I contacted Reef Runner to build a steel building in my backyard. I wanted a one-stop shop and was happy to support a local business. As an active-duty military member expecting our first child, we needed the extra space. I received a quote for about $55,000 and paid a 10% deposit in May. From there, everything fell apart. Their salesperson, Jericho, almost ordered a building from a company we had specifically said we did not want to use because of its terrible reputation. That mistake alone cost months. Throughout the process, getting updates or timelines was like pulling teeth, and we constantly had to chase him for basic information. Then, in December 2025, Jericho asked when my last quote was. When I told him May, he replied, "Oh boy," and sent a revised quote for nearly $90,000. He admitted he had been collecting additional costs all along but never shared them, leaving us blindsided. I escalated the issue to the sales manager, Brian, and the owner, Gary. Both acknowledged the project had been mishandled, apologized, and assured me they would personally take over, "make us a priority", and "take care of the military." Unfortunately, nothing changed. Working with Brian was more of the same: poor communication, no timelines, and no progress. Eventually, he blamed the manufacturer for delays and even copied me on emails so I could coordinate directly. Ironically, when I contacted the manufacturer myself, we exchanged multiple emails within an hour, making it clear the communication issues weren't on their end. After roughly 15 months, Reef Runner had held my deposit and I was no closer to having a building than the day I started. I finally requested my deposit back and decided to handle the project myself. I cannot recommend Reef Runner for any project. If you're looking for professionalism, communication, and accountability, I would look elsewhere.

So my sister felt confident in engaging her services along with Jeffrey Spradlin at GSF&D to provide us with this gift. My sister paid all expenses that were incurred and billed: delivery fees, gas, food and lodging for all employees, including a rental car and flights home for K and her assistant. I am retired from my last career as an administrative assistant, providing 23 years of loyal service to NASA. I am not a leach, nor am I a miserable person. We have tried over and over to get the issues with our furniture resolved. Jeffrey has treated us poorly and has refused to make things right. I have given my sister updates over the months and she is beyond horrified at his latest response. Because it was a gift from my sister, Jeffrey expected me to be grateful for whatever was sent and not speak up. But I find that unfair to me and my sister. She did not get what she bargained for and it has been awkward to try and get things made right. I am grateful for my sister's generosity and my sister knows this many times over as I tell her this.
