We assumed that "priority" meant we would have an opportunity to choose from the kittens available, especially after such a long wait. That was not the case. The breeder would not allow us to visit or meet the litter, and she was adamant that she would choose our kitten for us based on personality. We sent photos and clearly explained the calm, affectionate temperament we were looking for. Since we could not meet the kittens ourselves, we trusted her judgment. On the day we brought our kitten home, we were told she was one of the most vocal of the litter and more stressed than the others, essentially the opposite of the temperament we had requested. Five years later, she remains very anxious and does not have what we understand to be the typical relaxed, affectionate Ragdoll temperament. She has also had ongoing issues since we brought her home. We were left feeling as though we had been given the smallest or least suitable kitten in the litter, despite paying a premium price and waiting so long. Our concerns were repeatedly dismissed, and we were told she was not only a great personality match but also "competition grade." Over time, we came to feel that this description did not match what we received, including her uneven markings. We truly love our cat and cannot imagine life without her. This review is not about her. It is about the breeder's process, lack of transparency, and the feeling that what we received was not what we waited and paid for. My mother filled out an application, called her vet and then Scituate called her saying she has no record at the vet . My mother has used the same vet for my whole life and the vet said they never told scituate that. My mom called and tried to straighten it out and so scituate then told her too late, a lady is there picking them up now. We were so confused with no answers. Why would they have someone pick them up the same day but then send us through loops. Just doesn't seem like they are organized.

We would start a conversation and I eould get either no answer or a non-answer, then she would stop responding abruptly, leaving me hanging. She says she works in a hospital and gets poor reception. I found that puzzling because I worked in a hospital myself and never had any such issues. It would take repeated tries to try to get an answer or just a commitment to a date and time. This was extremely frustrating. I am sure she is crazy busy trying to coordinate visits, fosters, picking up cats, and adoptions. I would think it might be a great help to her to find a volunteer who would work to coordinate these things for her.
