For this being our first culinary experience in Vera, it set the bar for the rest of the time we're here. The staff, food, and environment all complement one another.
The staff is friendly and personable. We had to make reservations (over WhatsApp) and I'm glad we did. The kitchen opens at 1900, we got here at 2000, and the placed was filled by 2100. Our waitress, Chamita, was exceptional. She not only took care of us but also helped us make some great choices concerning our dishes. Overall, the service was great.
The food was none too shabby either. We enjoyed the tuna (very tender and tasty), fried cuddle fish (resembled calamari but smaller), a hamburger (cooked perfectly), baked chicken (this was a little too dry for me), and pork cheek (savory and tender). For dessert we shared the brownie with ice cream (not bad but not great) and the cheesecake (it came with strawberries and resembled more of an American-style cheesecake and not the creamy cheesecake one usually finds in Spain). All in all, the food was delicious, some more than others, but overall not bad.
The restaurant is situated on the beach but not close to the water. It has a ton of seating, both in the open and under the bar canopy. I'm not sure if they usually have live music but they did on this night. I usually don't care for live music due to how overpoweringly bad it is but I didn't mind this one.
Overall, like I said, it set the bar. It's a good place for just relaxing and enjoying the night.
