Our four-hour trip was the perfect mix of relaxation, wildlife, and adventure. Captain Jessica and her crew went above and beyond, providing iced drinks, snacks, and buckets for collecting shells. They took us to Old Hickory Island, where we found some amazing shells, a Pygmy octopus, conch, and a sand dollar. Throughout the trip, Captain Jessica shared her knowledge about the local ecosystem, answering all of our questions about the dolphins, manatees, mangroves, and the area. One of the highlights was when she spotted a pod of dolphins. She carefully brought the boat alongside them, and we got to watch them swim and jump in our boat's wake--it was unforgettable! Communication was outstanding from start to finish. We had to reschedule twice due to weather. Captain Jessica made the process incredibly easy and stress-free. She is friendly, welcoming, and shared lots of great local recommendations for places to visit and things to do. During the tour, I saw a handful of dolphins, which made it worth it. I have two complaints about the experience. First, the tour was way too crowded. I had gone on this tour once in the past, and there were about ten people on the boat. This time around, there were 32 people. This made it incredibly difficult to move around the boat to try and spot dolphins. Moreover, all of us were practically sitting on top of one another. The bench seating couldn't accommodate all of us. My other issue with this tour was the lack of shade. Only the back third of the boat was covered, so sitting in the front was incredibly hot. Most of the other pontoon boats we passed were shaded completely. If you're going to go on this dolphin tour, I'd recommend going earlier in the morning. My 10:00 a.m. tour was far too hot and far too crowded. Also, I'd suggest that you wear sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and clothing that covers your shoulders. If not, prepare to get some sunburn. A full bottle of water or two is also a necessity. Finally, make sure you bring some cash along to tip the captain and first mate.

They had little sand baskets ready, let the kids drive the boat, and made them feel so included and excited the entire time. Our guide Pete was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable and you could tell he really cared about the animals. He made us all feel comfortable around the snakes and gators and I learned a lot about the local vegitation and wildlife. We went in March so the weather was pleasent. I highly reccomend!

I was not really interested in birds until I took this tour, there were so many different kinds it was really very interesting. The airboat ride was awesome! I was not sure what to expect especially since it was cooler out and overcast for much of the morning and was even told early on that we may have difficulty seeing a lot of gators but was saw at least 5-6, young and old. Just being on the boat was a thrill. After the ride learned about and held a couple of different snakes and a baby alligator. Even those that were a bit afraid of holding the snakes were the first ones in line to hold the gator! This was a wonderful way to spend the morning.
