Me, my young kids, and my parents did the Dolphin/Wildlife/Shelling cruise a week ago, and we loved it. My kids are young (2 and 4), and it was a perfect excursion for them - one hour on the boat seeing animals and wildlife, an hour at the beach shelling, and then another hour on the boat with more dolphins. Had a fantastic time with Ty and Ashley on a 90 minute dolphins sight seeing cruise. We've seen dolphins before, so we weren't super concerned about that part; we just wanted a nice boat ride. Very friendly staff, loved the information about the local wildlife and things that we saw along the way. Boat was clean with a good amount of seating. They knew exactly where to find the pod of dolphins and as a BONUS, they told us to keep our eyes open for a flying spotted ray came flying out of the water near the pod.As if that that wasn't enough, they slowed down right near a manatee eating near a sand bar! My family and I always have a wonderful time fishing with Captain Mike. He makes sure each one of us has what we need to fully enjoy the trip. His boat is perfectly equipped for back bay fishing and provides plenty of shade for those of us being careful about too much sun, as well as unobstructed deck space for casting. We scheduled an early morning dolphin-sighting tour at last minute over the holidays and had a great time. Within the first 20 minutes, a couple of dolphins rode our wake out of the harbor. Additionally we saw several types of birds and fish. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed the 3hr tour with Steve and Laura pointing out wildlife and land features. We also very much enjoyed the stop at a small island to look for shells or just enjoy the shore. Also important to note: the boat seats up to 40 but there were only 12 people on our tour so there was plenty of room to socially distance. read more

My husband and I enjoyed the relaxing, educational sunset sail. It was quite exciting as we made an unscheduled stop to rescue a dog that was drowning in the water. We returned him to its owners and then continue on with our tour. Lovely sunset on a secluded island where we collected shells and enjoyed the white sand. Let me start by staying If I could give this 10 stars, I would. We had an amazing time! The crew is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. They took us to an island where we go to hang around and enjoy the beach for a whole hour. While we were there there were dolphins around the island and on our way back the dolphins played around with the waves made by the boat. As someone who has never seen dolphins before, I'm not exaggerating when I tell you I almost cried. Before our night ended we stopped by to watch the sunset. It was magical. Pictures simply do not do it justice. 10000/10 would recommend. PS: The no-see-ums at the beach we're a KILLER so I suggest bringing bug spray or something's read more

They continue to live up to the company name. Mike has put us right on the fish every time we've been out with him. He is quick to rig, bait and demonstrate technique. Fun time on the Dolphin and Wildlife Cruise in Fort Myers Beach - Captain Mike and Zack (ecologist?) were great in answering questions and giving us background around the bay. Saw dolphins right away and the captain got them to play by speeding up. They followed us for a good piece of the bay, and then we cruised to see another group of dolphins traveling in a pod with a baby dolphin. We also saw a number of eagle and osprey nests, and a little tour of the mangroves. They did this on a big pontoon that was covered (a little loud by the engine, but best view of any dolphins playing in the wake!). read more

My 2 teen girls (13, 15) and I enjoyed it. We took the 3 hour shelling tour. It was 1 hour boat trip to Little Hickory Island, 1 hour on island, and 1 hour back. Saw ospreys, juvenile bald eagle, terns, pelicans, and dolphins along the way. Warning: if you sit in the front you will be sprayed! Shelling was great on island. Lots of cool shells. Water was very calm and shallow. My kids swam a little. Glad we brought goggles and towels. Tip: I would recommend a wind/rain jacket as it was cool on the boat (mid-April). You can bring a bag and leave it on the boat. The crew will watch it for you. read more

This was the highlight of our week. We were five adults and two 10-year olds. Everyone was happy with the experience and the price. We booked a week prior and lucked out getting Zack as the eco-educational guide (part anthropologist, part conservationist and very nice guy) and Capt. Gale as our captain. We saw many dolphins as promised, walked an almost deserted island looking for shells and learned a semester's worth about hyper local flora, fauna and ecosystems from Zack. Wear/bring a proper sweatshirt and a towel for the spray, snacks and water are a good idea but not essential. Hit up Doc Ford's for lunch afterward and it's a perfect day of vacation. read more

We have been on several sunset tours in the past. Every time it got 5 stars, but this time was not the same. it was storming in the area. Probably should have canceled the tour but the captain insisted. No dolphins, no manatees, only a couple of birds. Animals were smart enough not to be out there. We did get a sliver of color for a sunset. I guess they had added the ability to bring coolers (never remembered allowing that in the past) so had to deal with a large group of young people drinking all around us like it was a bar. It was not a family atmosphere like it used to be. I felt sorry for the families with young children on board. I will not book another tour. read more

The boat ride itself was ok, but our group visiting from New England was quite disappointed that they didn't see any dolphins, thus making the experience a little boring. I've been on a few dolphin tours (different charter companies), but all doing the summer months, and saw numerous dolphins each time! Not sure if red tide has any impact on the dolphins not being around, but it sure was making lots of people on the boat cough/sneeze during the trip. I think it's very affordable for the duration and what you do/see. We've always done the 9-12 3hr dolphin/shelling tour but they have sunset cruises and other options as well. Absolutely perfect time! Captain Gale and Zack were so nice and so knowledgeable! Pleasant cruise, saw dolphins right away and Captain Gale got them to play by circling back and speeding up. Once he got their attention they jumped into our wake and followed, jumping in unison. What a joy!! Lots of beautiful pelicans and osprey too. Stopped at Big Hickory Island for shelling and Zack showed us a good spot to look for sand dollars. I found 1 while one and 3 halfs so that's $2.50 right?? Lol!! Zack helped us identify some shells and we found a horseshoe crab shell that was just shed. Back on the boat the sunset was beautiful & not 1, not 2, but 3 dolphins played with us on the return to the dock. Worth the ticket price every day of the week. read more

Dolphins!!!! Online booking was easy and convenient. Parking at harbor was hassle free. Mate Augusto met us at the dolphin statute, as stated. Boat was clean, comfortable and shaded. Captain Gale was very informative of the surrounding area and wildlife. He was able to entice the dolphins in the bay to follow our boat and play in our wake. IT WAS SPECTACULAR TO SEE SO CLOSE UP! Captain Ty and Laura led us on the 1.5 hour sunset dolphin cruise. First, what a beautiful place to enjoy a evening. But everyone was on time and it was simple to get onto the boat. From there they allow coolers and drinks and snacks, which is very nice. Then they spotted many different birds and we also spotted a manatee. Then the fireworks started with 4-5 dolphins starting to trail the boat and jumping for over 3-4 minutes, what a thrill it was. Then after , we boated out to the gulf to see the sunset. Captain Ty made it a great time and Laura with her knowledge of animals was a fun time. We will be back on our Fort Myer Beach voyages in the future. read more

We love this company and have gone on several of their excursions. We recently did the nature and fishing combination charter and really enjoyed the alone time with the captain. He took us to an island to comb for shells, showed us some dolphin spots and taught us about their behaviors and then took us to several fishing spots where we cleaned up on keepers. Then Mike cleaned our catches at the marina for us to take home and cook. It was well worth the extra money for a family looking to make some memories. We did the sunset one. It was kinda lame. Didn't see a dolphin. The tour guides were boring. Didn't enforce literally anything COVID wise. No distancing. No mask. Everyone in the boat was like annoyingly republican like I know good time doesn't have any control over that it was just annoying lol. But the thing that made me most mad was the lack of enforcement for the non mask wearing IDIOTS because the boat isn't very big and everyone was pretty close and our group was only at HALF capacity so I can't even imagine a full load.
