This was our second time out with Joel for a sunset sail...this time, his lovely wife Joanne was his first mate. Our daughter and her friend were visiting for a few days so we went out for the sunset sail. It was only 2 days after Hurricane Milton so we weren't sure if Joel would take us out. He did and the 4 of us were his only passengers! It was a beautiful sail along Fort Myers Beach and we were able to see a few dolphins...unfortunately, they never stayed above water long enough for a picture. Joanne supplied us with beer, wine and hard seltzers as well as sodas and waters. It was a pleasure chatting with them and we were amazed to find out that Joel built the catamaran! Can't wait until our next trip with them!!! read more

Absolutely loved our sunset sail with Copacetic. The captains were attentive, kind, and informative. We had a lovely 2 hour sail. Didn't get to see much of a sunset because it was cloudy but they made sure we saw some dolphins! Cannot wait to come back next time we are here. read more

They were both so friendly and warm; their genuine hospitality made the experience all the better. The yoga class is perfect for all levels of yogis (and non-yogis.) Joanne's teaching style is relaxed and welcoming. To rest in savasana; feeling the breeze off the water, listening to the rustle of the sail, and looking up at the blue sky is a moment of real zen. Taught my sons sailing lingo and let them manage the rudder at times. Good music and played Moana for the young kids as their favorite. Weather was absolutely perfect. How do you put into words the most magical night of your life? I called Copacetic Sailing with the intention of asking the most amazing woman to marry me. THEY WERE BEYOND EXCITED FOR US! I spoke with Aaron, son of the famous CPT Joel, and he assured me that he could help make the night magical, special and something to cherish forever. (He did not disappoint.) When we pulled up to the docks, we were stunned by the sheer size of the Catamaran in person. It was clean and very well kept. Joel and Aaron met us on the dock to help us climb aboard where they introduced themselves (and threw me a sly wink). We stowed our bags and shortly thereafter began sailing towards the Gulf of Mexico. During the initial voyage we introduced ourselves to the other passengers and exchanged pleasantries. After clearing the no wake zone, the motor was shut off and the sails were lowered. This gave us the all clear to sit down on the trampoline and just be present in the moment. Waves gently rolling under the boat, fresh salty air, soft (cheesy) music, and tasty drinks. The mood was set, ambiance was present, all that was left was to get up and ask this woman to be mine forever. I stood up, nodded to Aaron, and asked her to marry me. During this time, Aaron and CPT Joel made sure that the boat was perfectly positioned towards the sunset so that we could have the most incredible pictures, which they kindly took for us. After we kissed, Aaron brought out Champagne and glasses for everyone so that we could all celebrate together. To put it plainly, if you are looking for an amazing night out, great environment, and even better people, this family-run business is the way to do it. I called dozens of other places before a friend referred me to Copacetic Sailing and none of them had the personality or passion that CPT Joel and Aaron do. I look forward to spending my engagement anniversary with them again next year. read more

They say that there's no better review than coming back a second time. Well, we have done that, and plan to come back a third and fourth and hundredth time. There is nothing like sunset on the water. And there is really nothing like sunset on the water on the Copacetic. We booked a sunset cruise on New Year's Eve as a Christmas treat for grandparents, and it was truly a perfect and memorable evening. Captain Joel was charming and hospitable as he took us out on the Gulf. I have lived in Fort Myers my entire life, and I have never seen so many dolphins as we saw during this cruise! I teased the Captain that he must bribe the dolphins with extra treats to put on such a great show! Our 5 kids felt right at home on the Copacetic - relishing the view of the water from the trampoline nets and even getting to take turns steering the ship! Our sweet baby girl was dubbed the teeniest sailor, and the newest mascot of the Copacetic! The Copacetic crew is taking COVID-19 seriously as well - we boarded wearing our masks and once we got moving and had good airflow, those who felt comfortable doing so could remove their masks. We all benefited from breathing in the healthy sea air! We just loved every second of our sail. If you're looking for a quintessential Florida experience, look no further. I booked my friends and I for a sunset cruise with Copacetic Sailing. We are from the area and there are lots of ways to explore and experience the water here in Southwest Florida, but this experience was special. Being under sail with nothing but the wind pushing you across the water was so peaceful and exhilarating at the same time. Watching the sunset perched over the water with a cooling breeze wafting over us was pure heaven. We all thoroughly enjoyed the trip and relaxing in such beautiful surroundings. The captain and his crew man had the logistics down from boarding, to taking photos, serving beverages, letting some of us hoist sails, steer the boat and lower sails, to making sure that the sailing part looked easy so all we did was relax, to docking and disembarking .. it was all easy and enjoyable. What can I say besides Amazing! We went out on a full day private cruise and had the best time! There were 23 of us (all family) including 5 kids ranging from 11 to 2 years old. Captain Joel and his wife Joanne are lovely! They just started their catamaran tours in 2020 so it is a relatively new business but they are very seasoned sailors. They brought special kids lunches and provided the adults with chicken wraps &/or salmon kale salads- also made a special gluten-free meal! We loved it so much we were able to book another half day adventure the same week. The only critique I'd say is they will book up fast as they have high demand (they are not many private chartered boats with such amenities) so if you are considering this adventure- don't wait! Wow! What an amazing experience! I booked a private charter for a bachelorette party and it did not disappoint! Captan Joel and David took the best care of us. As soon as we arrived to the boat we were well taken care of. The boat was beautiful and big and we had so much space! Also, there was a bathroom on the boat!!! They had a lovely lunch for us on board! Hummus, publix chicken, cheese, it was perfect! They have plenty of drinks to choose from at such a great price! If we needed anything they were so quick to come do whatever we needed. Service was 10/10 views were 10/10! We went to Sanibel island for a bit but being on the boat was by far the best part! I came down to Florida from DC to spend time with my mom, and hadn't seen her since 2019 due to the pandemic. Despite her fear of water, she agreed to go on this sunset cruise with me because she knows how much I love the water, boats, sailing - and sunsets, of course! So, the fact that she also had a wonderful time speaks volumes! Both the Captain and his first mate were excellent hosts - warm and friendly - and put my Mom at ease. She had complete confidence in their abilities and skills, but also enjoyed their company and sense of humor! The people onboard were so friendly - and I think much of that was attributable to the atmosphere created by our hosts as well as the beautiful surroundings. It was an amazing time, very relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend this excursion both for those who love the water, sailing, and boats, and for those who are kind of "meh" or even wary, like my Mom!
