Lyndsey Roberts Bridal Collection - I said yes to the dress!

I was genuinely surprised when I pulled up the Yelp page to so many negative reviews. I had such a…read morelovely time at the shop. Unfortunately due to family health issues I had to go alone and the staff was so supportive. I found the perfect dress that I hadn't seen anywhere else that was a sample with great pricing. I found a similar dress but with some differences online for $900 more! Not worth the pockets lol I will be having my wedding at their venue as well and Lyndsey has kept me informed and been so patient with my millions of questions. The dress was slightly over budget but the venue was under budget so it all balanced out!

I ordered a MOB dress on Feb. 2.  Measurements were taken and a lengthy contract had to be signed…read more The young lady was friendly and stated it would take about 4-6 weeks to arrive.  The dress arrived 12 weeks later. I went to pick up the dress midweek.  The shop was busy and I was asked to try on the dress in a "pop-up" dressing room (It was just like the shower costume in the Karate Kid movie) on the display floor with people walking by.  The length wasn't even close despite the measurements, and the zipper would not zip.  I was asked to wait until the owner arrived, as only one girl was working. The owner arrived, was unable to get the zipper to work and broke it altogether.   The store agreed to pay for the zipper replacement (which they did), and I had to pay $46 to have the dress hemmed.  I was then told that the shop does not send items out for alterations. You have to take it yourself. They have 2 seamstresses: one in Holly Hill and one in New Smyrna Beach.  I was then asked to sign another document stating that I picked up the dress and agreed to pay for any alterations.   The nearest seamstress was 1 1/2 hours from my home.  She did a great job and I finally have a dress.  In hindsight, I would have gone to J.C. Penney or Dillard's, bought a dress, gotten alterations locally, and been done with it.  That would have likely cost less than the $350 paid in the end, and definitely involved a lot less headache.

Thank you for an amazing wedding menu for the Shepherd wedding. The compliments on how amazing…read moreeverything was were plentiful. I shared information with numerous guests and I hope you get more business. The wait staff was wonderful and everything was organized. This allowed everyone to enjoy and have no worries. Writing to thank you Kevin,…read more My family was blown away by your fantastic spread and overall performance at my son's wedding at "The Museum of Arts & Sciences" in Daytona Beach. You were calm and professional the whole night you took time to personally meet, greet and shake hands with the key members of both families. Your pre-dinner Cocktail Hour was spectacular and well served... Perfectly tailored to an American-Spanish union. Everyone was saying how over the top it was. Then, the dinner buffet setup was "to die for". The variety and quality were "5 Star" all the way, well presented and well received. You and your staff came early and stayed late and over delivered. I am in my Sixty's now and have been to many weddings and many catered events but this one was the one to judge all others by. The best part of the whole experience was the price. My heart was warmed when my son told me how you worked with him on the price after he told you about the limited budget and said that they want wanted keep shopping around. You were very graceful in you action and commitment and still delivered way above and beyond what was expected. I can't honor you enough, you're the best! Thank you very much for who you are and how you are! Glenn P DeRosa

RUN from EVA, the "wedding planner NOT". Once you have plunked down your $3,000. reaching her…read morebecomes next to impossible. E-mails go unanswered, her phone gets put on Robot mode, text messages are ignored. We even drove down to her hair salon trying desperately to reach her. In her profession, planning is the key. Planners are in regular communication with their clients, have a mutually agreed upon plan and (especially if outdoors), contingency plans for weather, tides, crowds, etc. Eva does NOT! After making a trip to our wedding location, two weeks before the wedding we tried to reach her to plan or suggest an alternate, less crowded area. When we finally made contact, good news, Eva actually had us on her schedule for the correct date! However, she had us scheduled for wrong time (4:00 p.m. in lieu of 11:00 a.m.) at the wrong location 20 miles north! Our concerns were confirmed. When we suggested an alternate location, the answer was a "hard No"! After that, Eva went dark again (not responsive to calls, texts, etc.)!! Not until almost 13 hours before the wedding did she suggested that our guests arrive 3-4 hours early to make sure they could secure nearby parking and "hang out" and enjoy the beach prior to the ceremony. Can you imagine our elderly guests all dressed up for a wedding, out on the beach for several hours, sweating to death, watching her set up? This is when we knew we were on our own. We had 13 hours to scramble, put a wedding together on the beach (at our condo), finding someone to perform the service, set up chairs, make an altar, notify all the guests of the change... We got it done without any assistance whatsoever from Eva. On an end note, Eva has received negative reviews before and has posted rebuttals denying any wrongdoing. We expect her to do the same here. Ask yourself, "Why take a chance on having your child's special day ruined by this woman?" There are plenty of other planners in the area, why risk it? We highly suggest you RUN, RUN, RUN form Eva, the Wedding Planner, NOT!!!

Yelp needs to revamp their site because it seems once you don't pay for their ads, they bump the bad reviews to the top. Eva makes getting married on the beach affordable but also valuable.
