This place has great views. Right in front of the water and the colorful hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was decent but not sure if it's worth the price.

I always wonder about the food at places with such a great location. This place is right on Soquel Creek with views of the creek and ocean from the deck. We had dinner here. We sat outside since it was a perfect day to sit in the sun. They have umbrellas. (I think they have heaters for cooler evenings.) I ordered the Chicken Marsala which I really enjoyed. The sauce was a bit different from what I'm used to but I liked the variation. My daughter ordered the French Onion soup which she also enjoyed. The food is 4 stars. The location is 5 stars. I rounded up. There is both inside and outside seating. I liked this place. I will return.

Stopped in for a house rose. Can't beat the location or the views. House Rose $10. Can't beat that price at the location. Great service. Great views. Free wifi. Will definitely return!

The patio dining is gorgeous. Had an ocean view without a lot of noise. Service was friendly and our server gave good recommendations. We had the calamari appetizer. Perfectly light, the fry wasn't heavy. Both tartar and cocktail sauces were tasty. Had burgers which were awesome. Cooked perfectly, juicy with solid condiments. I had the crab cakes. Would pass on these. Heavily breaded with little seasoning. The battered fries were really good. Also has both a regular and mezcal margarita. Highly recommend the cocktails! Also shared the French onion soup! That was some of the best ever! Definitely get it when there! Can't wait to go back!

Nice place to eat. Very chill specially eating outside. Food was good and service too. Definitely a good place to relax and enjoy good food.

Best Clam Chowder I've had in awhile. 3

It was my first time actually dining with a group of folks for a friend's birthday. We had a great time eating outside on the patio overlooking the evening sky and beach front view. The Clam Chowder was AMAZING! Most of us ordered a bowl instead of a cup size. It was creamy, chunky, warm, and perfect to have on a crisp fall evening. I also ordered their "Sugar & Spice Salmon" which was also not bad as it came with chunky & creamy garlic mashed potatoes and steamed veggies! The food was a bit on the pricier side, which is expected in such a touristy driven area. Would I go back? Sure! Our waitress was lovely and the atmosphere in the evening was overall chill vibes. :-)

Great atmosphere with friendly patrons and bartender. Came here after a SJ Sharks game, my boyfriends birthday celebration. I was crazy and went in the ocean. Great beer

Paradise Beach is always a must when in town. Hyped it up to my girls from Texas and of course they delivered! Food is always delicious

We shared the crab cakes, and potato crusted Halibut. Both were delicious! We tried the Jalapeño Margarita which hosts a whole jalapeño in the glass, and a salted rim. Also tried the Monterey Mule and the Citrus Ace, each offered a unique flavor and liquor. The service was excellent. Our waitress checked in frequently despite being busy. The ambiance was beautiful:- evening dining on the patio with heaters and the bay view. We will visit again.

I've loved Paradise Beach Grille for years and it has always been one of my favorite spots. I came in today hoping for a comforting meal after a rough day, but unfortunately things didn't quite go as expected. I started with the calamari, which is usually a hit here and still tasted great, although the portion was smaller than usual. I also ordered the prime rib special, asked for medium well, but it came out half raw after quite a long wait. The first few bites were delicious and tender, but it quickly became chewy, and when I looked closer it was clear it wasn't cooked through. I also tried the ahi tuna salad. The dressing and seaweed salad were tasty, but the tuna itself didn't have much flavor. On a positive note, our server Noel was absolutely fantastic. He was apologetic, kind, and professional. He comped my meal without hesitation and offered to bring me something else, but I just didn't have it in me to eat more after that. I'm honestly bummed since this place has always been my comfort spot, but everyone has an off night. I'll definitely be back, just a little disappointed this time.

We came here for a late lunch and sat outside, enjoying the beautiful and relaxing view--especially the colorful buildings of the Venice hotel in the background. The food was decent, but quite overpriced. I ordered a salad with medium-rare grilled beef; the greens were very fresh amd delicious , even if the beef was still tender,it's a bit more cooked than I would've liked. One of my friends had the salmon, which was very good, best of all dishes. Another friend had the steak - medium, but it was more done than expected, so it turned out a bit dry in my opinion. But... the fresh green peppercorn sauce accompanying the steak was awesome (I can still taste it :) ) The service was excellent. If I were to come back, it would be for the atmosphere and the service--not really for the food or the price.

    Chowder and view!

The view is amazing, service was great! Chowder was good! But the seafood pasta did not taste right... and now here I am with food poisoning . Good place tho, I would recommend but trust your gut.

Clearly PLENTY of open tables visible online and when we arrived in-person

I really hate it when a nice day out at the coast is ruined by dismissive and absent minded people; perhaps racism, I am not entirely sure. I love to photograph food and I was so upset throughout the dining experience that I just wanted to eat and leave in peace. We came in at 2:45pm without a reservation but thought we were safe enough since their reservations were all the way open. Imagine my surprise when we request seats outside (we had a pup with us) and when offered a bar table seating I asked for something lower due to a back injury that requires more back support. As I am making said request, I am not even done explaining my request when I am abruptly interrupted by the hostess who claims that the only TWO tables available are reserved! I then am scurrying through my phone to make the reservation I'd seen earlier (Mind you their indoor tables were almost all available with exception of one or two tables occupied) WHEN thankfully our lovely soon to be waiter, Josh (name on receipt) said he would be happy to serve us on one of the tables available. Josh and the rest of the wait staff were amazing and we greatly appreciated them and the food. We ordered oysters (my party enjoyed them) We also had two orders of the clam chowder and that delicious as well. Four our main entrees, my parents split the steak available at lunch, I ordered the Chipotle salmon burger and my husband had the fish and chips. And our pup enjoyed a piece of their hamburger patty and Josh was just as attentive with her and provided her with water. For drinks, I had their sauvignon blanc and it liked it enough to have two glasses. My party had the margaritas and their mango margaritas and thoroughly enjoyed them as well. The table next to us were a riot, in a good way and were jovial; they almost made me forget that not all palm-color folks look at us with disdain. I've provided a screenshot of all the available tables! The 4 stars because the food was good, the view of the colorful house was a great photo op, parking was easy, though we may never come back due to the poor treatment provided by their hostess on Sunday, May 18th at approx 2:45pm. BTW- about 10mins after we were seated, a group of four were seated in the other "reserved" available table, and when we asked them if they had made a reservation, they said no. So... if it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck...

Super creative dishes, great farm to table flavors, and good value for large shareable portions. The all California, mostly local wine list is amazing, and great pricing with many bottles at $50-60. A few small flavor misses on our selections (habanero ice too spicy for the oysters, abalone taste a little lost in the excellent riff on cassoulet) Fun, quaint atmosphere eating outside in the garden. We ordered: - The grilled artichoke - local artichokes are great, but this preparation was outstanding. It tasted as though it had been wood roasted, then dressed with citrus and delicious anchovies. This was my wife's favorite dish of the night - The wedge salad - you can get a wedge salad at many places, but theirs is really exceptional. The lettuce is crisp and fresh, the eggs are thinly strained, which make for a wonderful mouthfeel and flavor with the green goddess dressing. The crispy bacon, croutons, and sunflower seeds make for a nice contrast in texture - The brick chicken - this is one of their signature dishes, and for good reason. The chicken is tender and moist (likely brined in advance) and grilled crispy, flattened with a brick. The vegetable and polenta that accompany it are very tasty in their own, and together the rich chicken, slightly bitter green vegetable, and creamy polenta make for a wonderful and deeply flavorful bite. - the smores cup - this was really good. The mousse is a very rich dark chocolate pot de creme and the marshmallow fluff is torched perfectly. The finely ground graham crackers make for an elevated version of the smore in each spoonful - the crème brûlée cheesecake - this was equally excellent. The cheesecake is fluffy and light, the creme brûlée top gives a nice crisp, the crust is crumbly and delicious and there was a fruit sauce on top (maybe rhubarb) that tied the whole dish together
