By the far the worst state farm agent I have ever worked with…read more I am writing due to my extreme displeasure dealing with Dana Shivalier. I have been a client with state farm since 2003 and have always enjoyed the excellent customer service and coverage. I have used State Farm in three states for Auto, Home and Renters, never with an issue until now. I have come to learn that each agent is an independent operator, and therefore handles their services independently and by no means does this one agent reflect all of State Farm. In January I received a notice from my apartment community that I did not have renters insurance (which I had purchased through Dana Shivalier). I contacted my agent and asked what had happened because I paid in full for 12 months up front in July, and was informed that they had my address entered incorrectly. No big deal, they changed it, from the same address, just a different apartment number. I am then billed for a 'change of address'. I inform them that I have the binder, which shows my correct address as originally issued in July, but refuse to acknowledge that the error was their fault and demand payment. She informs me that she will get back to me by Friday, but rather than talk with me, cancel my coverage without notice. I find out my coverage is inactive when I receive a notice that my multiline discount has been removed because of an account that is no longer active. I contact a different state farm and they handle the entire process for me. There are many state farm agents, find a different one!

A Heartfelt and Grateful Thank You to Schuyler Elliott & Associates…read more This review is based 100% on my personal experience and the facts as they occurred. My family and I were down to the final few hours to stop our HOA from auctioning our home. Looking back, I now realize I was navigating those moments in complete shock--overwhelmed, uncertain, and trying to process what was happening while doing everything I could to protect my family and our home. I was provided with three attorney contacts. I took a deep breath, said a prayer, and called each number in the exact order they were given to me. I briefly explained our situation to each one. From the moment I spoke with Schuyler Elliott & Associates, something felt different. I felt comfortable. I felt heard. Most importantly, I felt that I had found the right people to help my family during an incredibly overwhelming and time-sensitive situation. I want to give a very special thank you to Schuyler Elliott for stepping in when time was running out and for the professionalism, dedication, and commitment shown when my family needed legal help the most. I also want to give a very special and heartfelt thank you to Julie Elliott, Paralegal. Julie, thank you for your patience with me while I did my absolute best to navigate an unforeseen and unforgettable situation with our HOA. I know I was trying to take in a tremendous amount of information while I was overwhelmed and doing everything I could to protect my family and our home. You never made me feel like I was a burden. Your patience, dedication, professionalism, and compassion meant more to me than you will ever know. You helped me navigate through moments when I was struggling to navigate them myself, and I will always be grateful for that. Schuyler and Julie--thank you for being there when it mattered most. When you are facing the possibility of losing your home and you have only hours to act, you don't have the luxury of time. You need attorneys who will listen, understand the urgency, and take your situation seriously. My family and I will never forget that Schuyler Elliott & Associates answered the call when we needed help the most. I am deeply grateful for the entire team and especially for Schuyler Elliott and Julie Elliott. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my family through one of the most overwhelming and uncertain moments we have ever experienced. Sincerely, Hall Family

I always wanted to give my own an opportunity to represent me in an accident case. Don't get wrong…read morehey sent me to a good chiropractor, but that is it. My complaint is that I was called about me receiving compensation from this accident in October 2022. I was told a check was received in office and it has to go into escrow for approximately 10-15 days. That is fine 10-15 days go by and I place a call and I am told we have to get some people to agree to reduced payments. I wait another 2 weeks and I call back to see the progress and when to expect a check to be mailed to me. I am told the person stepped out and would return my call and has not returned it since. Now if I was told that this is the way the do business from the beginning I wouldn't be wondering about a check. I would just wait, but if you tell me one thing then I am expecting to receive something not to be told there is another issue to be handle then you will receive a check. All I can say is that the lawyer maybe good for all I know, but the backend of his business is shady. I will not be using them again god forbid if I get into a mvc.

I selected this Law Firm based on the reviews and my initial conversation with Attorney Chris…read moreStatsny. After I signed on in April 2021, nothing has been done on my case in terms of negotiations. When I signed on with the law firm, everything had been done in terms of medical care and all they had to do was negotiate the bills for settlement. I called and/or emailed in June 2021 to see where they were with my case and was talked to by Chris as if I was a child or illiterate which neither is the case. I hold a MBA and asked pertinent questions about my case only to find out that nothing had been done at all, I was told they were still trying to obtain my medical bills. I then got on the phone and 2 hours later, I got all of my medical bills and emailed them to them on the same day. I spoke with Kaleigh this morning to find out if they now were in negotiations with the insurance company since they now had everything and I was told by Kaleigh that they still needed my medical records. I fired them today and went with another law firm and received my medical records within 15 minutes of requesting them. After I fired them via email, I received a email back from Chris Sratsny stating that they would be placing a lien against my case for work that was done which is laughable. A lien can't be placed unless they were in active negotiations with the insurance company with an offer having been made. The lien will be tossed out due to it being invalid. Please don't sign up with this law firm if they assign Chris Statsny to your file as he gets mad and talks down to you if you have questions or question him on what is being told to you. As a client, I shouldn't have to chase you down to find out what is going on with my case. I am sure that everyone else with the firm are amazing due to the excellent reviews but my experience with Chris hasn't been a pleasant or fruitful experience. Customer Service and being pleasant with your clients is not high on Chris list.

I'm very disappointed with the way my case was handled by this attorney. From the beginning, I was…read moretaken through multiple phases with changing and unrealistic promises about the compensation I would be entitled to. I met her through a business connection, and I was very clear that the accident occurred while I was on a business trip. My vehicle was completely totaled, and she knew how crucial it was for me to get back on the road and continue my work. Despite that, the process has been unnecessarily drawn out. Each time she claimed an appraiser had issued a check, it would take over a week and a half before she even discussed any next steps with me. The delays were frustrating and inconsiderate, especially since this accident happened back in May 2024. What's most upsetting is that the value of my time, the attention my case required, and the recommendations she made did not reflect my best interest. I had surgery and continue to experience pain, yet I followed her advice in hopes of a resolution that never came in a timely or compassionate manner. At this point, I just want to close this matter and return to managing the business I was committed to before ever hiring her. This experience has been stressful, and I can't recommend her based on the handling of my claim.
