My new case manager attempted to get me to accept a $15,000 settlement. I have over $12,000 in medical bills. The bulk of it coming from their referenced Revive Orthopedic charging over $11,000 for an MRI, nerve test, and about 6 office visits. Excessive. Gary Martin Hayes & Associates isn't even the one filing suit. They've given that to the Titus Law Group. The conclusion was a $23,000 settlement, where they walked away with $8,312.80. I received $7,052.20. And medical was reduced to $7,635.00. Gary Martin Hayes was paid for nothing since Titus actually filed the suit. I would've been better off contacting them, and it was still less than half of the max $50,000 available for a permanent injury. (See attached document) Please find someone else to fight your case. She then told the judge, I was difficult to talk to and that I wanted to represent myself. My case was dismissed due to lack and poor legal representation. And to add insult to injury accordingly to the Dekalb Lawyers Association, she has a niche in Father's Rights which in my opinion is a complete conflict of interest and explains why she was so hostile to me for no apparent reason. This wasn't my first encounter with her, I took the same action back In 2018. She was rude then and told the Non custodial parents they could pay $1, the bare minimum and that would suffice. I was shocked and outraged that she'd state this in open court when she was representing Custodial parents fighting for financial support for their children. I'm not sure if she took her meds during both of my unpleasant experiences with her but she definitely has some mental health issues that she should definitely seek help for. Read her responses to other people's reviews. Not the response of a professional. Perhaps since she doesn't have children of her own, it makes her insensitive and Unempathetic to these kinds of matters. If you have a complaint against her or witnessed her unethical behavior, I'd implore you to make a formal complaint with State Bar of GA, The Consumer Assistance Program, GA DEPARTMENT OF LAW'S CONSUMER PROTECTION, and OFFICE OF THE NSW LEGAL SERVICES COMMISSIONER OF GA to avoid anyone else from having this kind of encounter with her. After I signed on in April 2021, nothing has been done on my case in terms of negotiations. When I signed on with the law firm, everything had been done in terms of medical care and all they had to do was negotiate the bills for settlement. I called and/or emailed in June 2021 to see where they were with my case and was talked to by Chris as if I was a child or illiterate which neither is the case. I hold a MBA and asked pertinent questions about my case only to find out that nothing had been done at all, I was told they were still trying to obtain my medical bills. I then got on the phone and 2 hours later, I got all of my medical bills and emailed them to them on the same day. I spoke with Kaleigh this morning to find out if they now were in negotiations with the insurance company since they now had everything and I was told by Kaleigh that they still needed my medical records. I fired them today and went with another law firm and received my medical records within 15 minutes of requesting them. After I fired them via email, I received a email back from Chris Sratsny stating that they would be placing a lien against my case for work that was done which is laughable. A lien can't be placed unless they were in active negotiations with the insurance company with an offer having been made. The lien will be tossed out due to it being invalid. Please don't sign up with this law firm if they assign Chris Statsny to your file as he gets mad and talks down to you if you have questions or question him on what is being told to you. As a client, I shouldn't have to chase you down to find out what is going on with my case. I am sure that everyone else with the firm are amazing due to the excellent reviews but my experience with Chris hasn't been a pleasant or fruitful experience. Customer Service and being pleasant with your clients is not high on Chris list.

Distraught and totally lost a dear friend said Stephen and his people could help. I immediately reached out, got a fast response and began the paperwork. I had a ton of questions about what to do and how to do it. For most all my questions, I was told I'd have to call someone or it was left unanswered. The probate part ended up being the only part actually started by the group and that I didn't have to seek other legal help with. More expense on top of paying for a car and huge house that are in the estate was most unwelcome. The "6 weeks or less" has long since passed for the only thing I need from this particular group. All the "assurances from the attorney or anyone else I've dealt with there have passed. I can't get anyone to respond to me anymore, nor can the person who recommended him. The 100% cessation of communication and lack of help with anything but starting (but not finishing) Letters of Administration has forced us to seek help from other attorneys and the bar association. Recommendations from friends can be great, especially in a very difficult time, but definitely should of read reviews and done some research first. Lesson learned, and still don't have the document I've paid a lot for.

From start to finish, the service was abysmal and I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring this firm to think twice. First of all, communication was a major issue. I found it extremely difficult to get ahold of my assigned attorney and when I did, they seemed disinterested and unengaged. I continually had to follow up with them myself to get updates on my case, and when I did finally speak to their clerks, it was clear they hadn't even read my file or were not informed of the specifics of my situation. Secondly, the billing process was a complete mess. I received multiple different invoices with different amounts and descriptions of services provided. When I tried to discuss this with the accounting department, I was met with rudeness and impatience. It felt like they were just trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible without providing any clear explanation for the charges. I have to find another law firm to sort out the mess that this firm allowed and by mess, I mean the drawn up paperwork makes no sense and is completely incorrect. I signed at the suggestion of the lawyer, realizing now that their service was a waste of time and money. They provided nothing, honestly. Charging repeatedly for paperwork and information that they never used. My case never went to the trial that I thought I was paying for. I paid trial fees for a lawyer to speak to me twice over the course of a year. She was ill or unavailable the rest of the time. Blatant liars and will threaten to drop you and keep your money if you complain, because they need the "trust" of the client. Don't trust them to do right by you. They're money hungry. Overall, my experience with CHISOLM TRIMBLE & ASSOCIATES, LLC. was incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this firm to anyone looking for professional and reliable legal services. All the other firms said they would be able to win our case, but after listening to them we understood that they really didn't understand my husbands industry and what he was being charged with. A couple of firms would not even meet with us in person unless we agreed to retain them and pay a fee or they wanted to meet us at a bar. We were able to meet with Mr. Smith in person before retaining him and Mr. Jacobs and he spent over an hour listening to our concerns, explained the processes, and hurdles we would possibly face. At the end of the meeting Mr. Smith explained that they would take care of our case so we can go back and live our normal lives again. Overall we felt very well taken cared of, all of our questions were answered no matter how small, and even though it did take a long processes due to COVID closing the courts in the end Mr. Jacobs was able to have our case dismissed. We would recommend them to everyone who is ever in need of a criminal lawyer.

All I heard for two years from this group of lawyers was "not yet, still waiting", etc. After the date that the statue of limitations for the case had passed, I called Scott to verify that the state had failed to prosecute within the time frame allotted. It's a good thing I called, because apparently the case has been brought before the court and prosecution had been set in motion months prior to this and Scott and his team had no idea. After that surprise, this team of lawyers fumbled around and finally presented me with plea deal that they said was the best they could do if I wanted them to handle the case while I was in absentia. The only other option would be to fly back to Georgia from California to await trial. I reluctantly accepted the plea bargain which included Community Service, attending a class, and paying a fine. I submitted all proof of completion of my part of the bargain. Scott and his team took it to court and had it signed and sealed, and told me that the case was resolved. Fast forward to a few months after that. I get a call from Scott's office telling me they "made a mistake" when they told me the case was resolved. They messed up the paperwork and failed to include in the plea deal they presented me with that the court had requested I take another class. There was a probation officer waiting on paperwork as proof for completion of a class I was never informed I had to take, months after I was told the case was resolved and over with. I tried my best to find a class and complete it in what time remained before the probation officer put a bench warrant out for my arrest, but there simply was not enough time. If you want someone competent enough to handle your criminal case, do NOT choose Scott W Smith, "Peach State Lawyer". Not only is he kind of a dick to his clients, he is wildly irresponsible and forgetful and is just (barely, if at all) going through the motions for your money.
