We offer Comprehensive Energy Audits, Infrared Thermal Diagnostics, Home Energy Ratings (HERS), EnergyStar and Green Building certifications, Home Inspections, and Renewable Energy Consulting and Site Analysis. Owner Ric Evans is also an Instructor at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, MI. He teaches home and business owners about 'Going Green' and energy efficiency, and is training the next round of energy auditors, building analysts, and even other instructors around the state. Ric can often be seen at regular speaking engagements all across Northern Michigan, contributing to several 'Go Green' television segments, radio series, and printed articles.

Established in 2006.

Buildings use about 40% of the energy consumed in the U.S., and being involved in the building trades for many years allowed me the 'insiders look' at how much better buildings can be designed and built, and that there are right and wrong ways to 'weatherize' buildings. And in realizing that people have very personalized relationships with their homes, I was compelled to present tangible energy efficiency information to home owners about their particular situations and conditions. I have been very pleased to find that a huge majority of people are willing and able to make the improvements necessary to dramatically reduce their energy costs when given the road map to get there!

Meet the Business Owner: Ric E.

Ric grew up in Traverse City, spent 2 years at Northwestern Michigan College, finishing college at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Natural Resources. He has studied Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy issues for almost 20 years, including the Building Sciences and Building Performance. After becoming a Nationally Certified Energy Auditor & HERS Rater in 2006, Ric also gained National Certification thru BPI as an Instructor & Proctor in 2009. He teaches various Extended Education courses on Home Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Living, and is currently training the next batches of Nationally Certified Energy Auditors and Building Performance Contractors thru BPI & NMC. Ric is a regular speaker & presenter all over N Mi for groups and events such as the Sustainable Building Forum, the Grand Vision Energy Working Group, Mi Energy Optimization, RePower America, MI Interfaith Power & Light, and HBA's, Realtor & Utility Company seminars.
