I love my gaming and for a long time I only knew of one good board game cafe all the way in Haggerston in East London (Draughts) - until of course I ventured further south - and lo and behold I stumbled upon Paradice! A great play on words this place is run by Warhammer fan Jason who has had it for 5 or so years now. A little hidden off the high street so don't be distraught if you can't find it at first.
It offers in store food (don't expect Michelin star naturally) but the main service is the gaming itself. Its very spacious - so you won't have to queue for hours like one does in Haggerston, it has an upstairs seating area, and downstairs has enough space, and a great selection of games - from Codenames to Catan! It also acts as a retailer and you can buy most games here.
They run Pokemon and Magic tournaments and who knows what else - and there are a lot of young teenagers around, I imagine Jason wants to market more to family's to improve business as the cost to stay (£3) is very inexpensive. Good luck! read more
