Crappy service they're never consistent on when they come and dump the trash yesterday they completely missed our Neighborhood when I called and complained. They said the guy had timed out on his route.? Had to go home. We are second day now he comes to our neighborhood but we got 35 mile an hour winds blowing cans over trash everywhere. He came up one side of the road and has not come back to do the other side of the road still no trash dumped. DO BETTER!! read more

Papillion Sanitation....not to sanitary. I have sent numerous emails and requests to have my trash receptacles placed back in my driveway. The driver gets out of the truck to get my can but carelessly shoves it back it is left in roadway and many times tipped over. I have video from it, including my last visit. 2 weeks ago my driver was caught urinating in front of our homes in the roadway. They tell me it was dealt with. I wish they would deal with putting my cans back in my driveway. They came at 5:30 pm on a Friday left it in the street. I leave town for the weekend and worry where my can will be when I get home. Who is responsible here for a damaged or missing cart not put back. I have asked them via phone and emailing many times. They correct it for a month then it goes right back. I hate this service. read more

Papillion Sanitation, a Waste Connection Company, bought out Premier Waste Solutions, a local company, earlier this year and since being forced to use Papillion our experience has been very bad. Missed pickups, price increases and reduced recycling pickups. I am paying more for less service and they are the only company that services my area other than Waste Management and they stopped residential recycling in the area. It has been a nightmare. We need another company to come in, I wish Abe's Trash Service would come to the area. read more

I live in Midtown Crossing and am regularly awakened by Papillion trucks between 3am and 7am. They have zero regard for the city's noise regulations. Any time I call they claim it's a new driver who doesn't know the rules. This has been going on for years and has happened hundreds of times, so turnover must be extremely high or maybe they're simply lying to me. read more

I needed residential trash pick up and went with Papillion Sanitation as there were so many companies to choose from and I falsely assumed they were locally owned (they've sold out to Waste Connection, the third largest trash conglomerate in North America). Once we started service, there were mix ups right and left. Days were missed, phone operators were disengaged and repeatedly gave us misinformation and we went weeks without pickups due to all of this. Then once items were actually picked up, I was disappointed by the negligence and sloppiness of the pick up operators. Every single time there was trash or recyclables that were dropped and not picked up. Thankfully, we've switched to Abe's. They have excellent customer service and the drivers take the time to pick up each time something escapes the bin. read more

I am the local leader for Wreaths Across America at Omaha National Cemetery. 9 years ago when the Cemetery opened, I called to ask if they would donate a dumpster so we would have a place to put the wreaths when they are retired, in the middle of January. Linda is who I talked to and they were more than happy to support our Veterans who are laid to rest at Omaha National Cemetery. We started with 250 wreaths and this year we had over 3700. Papillion Sanitation has provided us these dumpsters for the last 9 years and it is not 2 XL dumpsters. They always have the dumpsters delivered on time and pick up the same day so that we can keep our cemetery looking beautiful. First off, let me just say that we are new to this side of the state. Where we are from, we had three cans. One for recycle, one for trash and one for yard waste. It is taking me a bit to get used to the yard waste and trash are in the same can. The price is fair and the customer service is honestly one of the best I've had. They care for and about their customers. They have sent emails in regards to my birthday, the holidays and when I have a question, they are able to answer it with ease. Shannon, she helped me today with my questions and took time to explain things to a point that I fully understood. She was not quick to get me off the phone. I am not kidding you when I was a mess with questions. :P So I appreciate the patience. Plus the toddlers were a bit noisy as well. The trash guys that come pick up the cans are cautious and friendly. We have two boys who are 2 and 3.5 years young that love watching them come by. Last week, the trash man was watching in case I had a darting child, waved at them and told them to be safe and have a great week. Now for me this is big. Trash is exciting at this age. To see them engage with customers beyond a simple hand wave was nice to see. I look forward to their service in the future. I would highly recommend. My friends husband also works for them and seems to be very happy with his job. His wife says they take good care of them. read more

We've lived in our current home for almost 2 1/2 years. In that time, our trash pickup has been missed multiple times. Numerous calls resulted in promises to send someone out at the end of the day. Yet our cans are still sitting in our driveway full. Unfortunately we can't cancel our service as it is included in our HOA annual dues. If we had any other choice, we would definitely go with another service. read more

I rarely complain about a service, however, i this case just wanted to let the people know. On this pick-up day, we moved a grand-child back into our house and had extra boxes and styrofoam packing from furniture we ordered. The boxes were broken down and styrofoam was placed around the trash to keep from blowing away. I want to say that we tipped both the driver and the loader for the extra work. I immediately got a call from the company saying they picked it up this time but never again. They actually had taken pictures of the extra trash and sent them to the "HOME OFFICE". So after talking to the representative, it was determined that the company does NOT suggest "tipping" their employees. I advised that I would no longer tip their employees, THIS INCLUDES ALL TIPS. (CHRISTMAS $50; THANKSGIVING $50 and NEW YEARS $25) Which I have done for many years. read more

Absolute worst trash and recycling service. They bought out Premier Waste which was amazing. You pay for their service and Papillon won't pick up anything outside of the bins. Premier would take everything. They miss recycling often and complain if boxes aren't broken down into 2x2 bundles. Who bundles boxes that small? What are we paying them for? 0/10. PS, a conglomerate, recently bought Premier, a local company - which we switched to in order to get rid of PS. Phone operators are unengaged, and lack even basic customer service skills. Rather than field questions, inquiries are referred back to the customer to search their website or get their app. Recycling is now every other week, and they missed our last pickup . . . which means it's been a month since they picked up recyclables, and the bin is overflowing. I called Abe's, a LOCAL SERVICE that has been in business for 60 years. A human being with pleasant phone etiquette answered the phone. Their price is a little cheaper, and they pick up every week. I would much rather support a local business, so I'm switching. read more

Papillion Sanitation is bad, take my advice and use a different waste pick up service. PS purchased Premier Trash service around November of 2020. During that short 3 months they have forgotten to pick up my neighborhoods trash 3 times and I have forgotten to take the recycles 5 times. From August 2019 until November of 2020 I only had to contact Premier 1 time for an issue and it was taken care of the same day. Our neighborhood HOA is planning to cancel their contract and go with another service. read more

Missed pickups 3 or 4 times in 8 weeks, despite calls each time and "assurances" that these were isolated instances. Probably should enhance their drug testing program. read more

I am so impressed with the new recycling program we now have in Bellevue. Finally!! So much less will be going to the landfills and it's free!! I initially gave up and just grabbed the trash instead but the driver PUT HIS TRUCK IN REVERSE. Not all heroes wear capes. read more

It's time to kick Papillion sanitation to the curb. I called this weekend to get my recycling picked up. Of course I got a recording left my information and their recording say they would get back to me on their next business day. Of course they didn't. I called them and waited and waited and waited. While waiting I listened to their recorded message saying their philosophy is 100% satisfaction. When they finally answered I was told it would be another 2 weeks before they picked it up. I told Michala that was unacceptable since they had also missed the pick up 2 weeks before. My bin was overflowing and it needed to be picked up Soon. That was not possible so I canceled my service and asked that they pick up both bins immediately. They were happy to do that. So who wants to get better service with Abe's perhaps if I get a bunch of people we can get a sweet heart of a deal. read more

Papillon Sanitation handles the presence of trash convergent with their recycling program that it comes darn close to removing the third inevitablies. Today, I called to schedule a bulk pickup of a couple of items. The people that answered the phone quoted a much high price than I was recently quoted. Without any notice, they increased the truck cost from $25 to $75, a 300% increased in one day. This company recently bought out my other trash removal company and now are jacking up prices at enormous levels. This a pathetic customer service. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. This week there was a snowstorm on Monday, our trash collection is Tuesday. Understandably a day behind due to the weather. Here we are Friday and no recycling service pick up and most of the neighborhood still has the bins out. Upon calling I was informed that recycling was suspended for a week, yet they have not contacted anyone. When I called the customer service basically called me stupid for not understanding and not looking on their website before calling. I looked at the website and it says nothing about Douglas County, so perhaps they should amend your website. When asked for a supervisor was told that he left at 1 to avoid having to deal with customer service issues. When this was Premier we did not have these issues, customer service is definitely not a priority for Papillion, if you have another option for trash service definitely go that route. Papillion Sanitation definitely does not care about their customers. read more

We used Papillion Sanitation for about 2 years. Overall, the service was alright. With the exception of them "forgetting" to collect our recycling a few times, I have no complaints. My complaint is with how they handled us canceling their service. When we joined and when we canceled, we were not told anything about a "$25 cancelation fee". We had no knowledge of this charge until we received a past due notice for the amount. My husband and I have called several times, and each time the person who answers (the same person) says she is new and doesn't know, or says there was a verbal contract. They cannot produce any written documentation that we signed, or that they give to customers, discussing this fee. All they have to back up their claim is that they "tell everyone". Pretty hard to prove, don't you think? All you have to do is Google reviews of this company and you'll find pages and pages of people with this same complaint. They even have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. It's fairly obvious that they charge $25 because it's not an amount most people will fight over. I cannot imagine how much money these people make off of this charge! So, only use this company if you plan to be hassled over a cancelation fee and don't mind working with a dirty company. I guess the garbage business suits them just perfectly! read more

Have on several occasions where this company continues to miss picking up our recycling. Literally i'm on top of putting out my trash and recycling, pretty much remind my neighbors to the night prior by setting my stuff out. There is absolutely no reason that my stuff isn't picked up. Heck even the neighbor across the street's gets picked up. So yesterday on my pickup day, im looking around and my neighbors got their stuff picked up. So I call it, and they say they will let the driver know - i try to ask them if they can just have their normal trash truck pick it up and they said they couldn't. I said im willing to let him dump the trash and transfer over the recycling into the trash container and the operator got snappy with me and said are you going to be there which i replied yes. so im waiting till its almost closing time for them, I call and get told it will be picked up tomorrow. I call the next day, and the phone operator said the driver has just been scheduled to pickup the missed recycling. I get home and see this bright green letter specifically circled with the time 6:00 am to have your recycling picked up, like it was my fault. This is the 5th time they have missed my recycling. I typically just let it go, but after this arrogant response from this driver, they are losing my business. read more

We switched from another company in town to Papillion Sanitation probably a year or so ago. I was skeptical at first, because it was a lot cheaper than the old company, but we have never had any problems with them. It's so nice that you can set up automatic withdrawal from your bank account with them. I had to send checks to the old company. We also love that we can mix additional household trash in with the yard waste! read more

Papillion Sanitation sent my final bill to a mailing address I did not live at, Sent me an e-mail to an account that does not exist, and called a phone I no longer have. They then sent a $50.00 bill to collections. When I contacted them their "Customer Service?" staff said they did nothing wrong. The representative then forgot to hang up the phone and made jokes while I was still connected. TERRIBLE customer service by accounts receivable. I will never use their service again, nor will my company. I wont hesitate to share my dissatisfaction with others. read more

Good phone service, but horrible pickup service!! I had service for 3 weeks, and were supposed to pickup Fridays. Week 1: Got missed Friday, had to call 2x and got picked up Monday. Week 2: Didnt pickup Friday, called 2x and got a call back and picked up Monday along with a promise they will pickup on time week 3. Week 3: Had to call 3x to get picked up Monday and a 4th to cancel my service! Going back to city service. At least they come back without a phone call. read more

Trying to set up a new service as I am moving to the area, I have called 5 times and every time after 5 minutes of hold I'm sent to an answering machine, where I am promised a call back, which has yet to happen. My emails aren't send, probably because I'm missing typing the email address, I will take blame there however the email is rattled of so quick that i'm missing parts. If I didn't have to go with this service I wouldn't however because I'm moving to the city of bellevue I have to. Really needing some assistance to set up my service. I live in Bellevue and have been using Papillion Sanitation for the past 4 years and have never once had an issue with them. The bi weekly recycling can get a little annoying because I always forget which week it is but I called and got a magnet calendar that shows which week they do recycling. I also had my lid break on my garbage can and I called and they said someone will come by on trash day to replace the lid for me. read more

This is the absolute worst company I have ever had to work with! It took them 2 months or more to get my address correct to pick-up my trash, and when I moved it took two times to get them to pick-up my trash bins - the driver claimed they were not out even though we put them out a 6 am and didn't take them back in until 9:30 pm. We had to haul them to our new address to ensure they were picked up since we were moving out and would have no control over if the cans were ever picked up (and if they aren't returned its a $75 fee)! Customer service is a JOKE, it's always a standard "there's nothing I can do" or "we can't contact the drivers", etc. Absolutely no effort to make things right in a timely fashion! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I would give them 0 stars if I could!!!!! read more

About 3 weeks ago, I called and mentioned trash was left in the street. I wasn't mad, just matter of fact and making them aware. They were nice during the call, but they managed to say that my items should have all been bagged. Ok . . . In a perfect world, yes. However, we all know when outside we randomly throw stuff in the trash. It's just what people do. Because we can. The customer service lady said she would address it with the trash people. The items that weren't picked up were put back in the trash by my self. Next week the exact same items are in the middle of the street in front of my house. Alright. Now it seems I have angry vengeful trash people. I didn't call, just chalked it up, and filed it away. Other times, I would come home from work and the trash cans would be blocking my driveway. I had to obviously physically get out so I could pull in. Very inconvenient and annoying. This happened about 3 times during my service. Today was the last straw. Trash in front of my house again on the street and a broken bottle. Luckily, I saw the glass before backing out. I had to go pick up shards in the street. Kids, dogs, car ties, bike tires could have been affected. I called moments later and cancelled. Oh not to mention, the rising prices. That's just not cool either. I went with who my neighbors use.
