I like to shop here for various project and art supplies instead of big box stores when possible because they offer such great items and awesome service. I defy you to enter this store and not be enticed by the many pens, pencils, markers and various sketch pads and notebooks that are just BEGGING to be drawn and written in! Plus they have a fantastic collection of magazines, a valuable resource for Kent State students in the arts programs. We're so lucky to have this art supply haven in our community.

Daydreams & Tea is a phenomenal edition to the retail scene. Particularly, small businesses in The…read moreArcade. Let me be clear: nothing like this exists in Cleveland. Now, to count the reasons I love this store: + Elegant bridal gifts. + Gorgeous baby gifts. The most stunning collection of stuffed animals and German teddy bears. + Fantastic small gifts for the "I don't know what to get them" person. + Classy stationary (this is HARD to find). But the most interesting thing about Daydreams & Tea is their self-proclaimed interest in "Regina"-alogy. A play on genealogy named after the owners' mother, this shop encourages both genealogical projects and storytelling. What do I mean by that? + Genealogical projects: they have gorgeous sets of family tree sets, storytelling frames, shadowboxes to frame family mementos, and specific frames for family art. + Storytelling: they collect pieces from local families, and encourage them to leave their stories behind for others to discover. For example, they currently have a fascinating antique piano (for sale). Inside, there's a handwritten note from a family in 1978 explaining the history of the piano when they acquired it, telling the story of its 1892 origins. They believe in making the world a little smaller by encouraging families to tell their stories, and I love it. Check out all the photos I added to get a glimpse of everything above!

We were disappointed as we drove a long way and had to use the restroom before we shopped. We had to rush through the store pick a few candles paid and left. We were planning on taking our time in the store and buying more but were unable to do so. We watched other customers ask for a restroom and told to drive down the street. I absolutely love this place but did not like that such a big establishment did not offer the ability to use the restroom. Even paying customers. Hopefully they will find a way to open their restrooms back up.
