Paper Caper really came through for me. I had a unique art project that I needed 30+ works printed. Working with the helpful staff, the project was completed and the finished product exceeded my expectations. The price was very favorable as well. I would recommend Paper Caper for your needs. I would recommend also that as a customer you are clear on what you want completed, you are clear on your deadlines and you communicate any changes immediately. I have found Paper Caper to be very flexible but it goes a long way that as a customer you are clear in communicating with them as they have many great projects with deadlines they need to meet. The ladies of Paper Caper rock! They have all been doing specialty invitation and stationery printing forever, so they know what they are doing. They can give great advice on wording and etiquette and are extremely patient. They did my wedding invitations, programs, favor cards, table numbers, and escort cards. For invitations, they have every vendor you could imagine. For the programs, table numbers, and escort cards, it was perfect because they can print them in-house using Envelopments to save money. PERFECT! In addition, they are incredibly flexible with timing and can make printing changes on the drop of a dime, in-house. We had several date changes etc. Thanks ladies for everything! Terrible customer service. I have lived in Burlingame my whole life and when I was throwing my mom a 60th birthday, I knew that I wanted to keep everything local. I went to Paper Caper to order the invitations and was met by a rude girl, who did not want to give me the time of day, even when I knew what I wanted, did not have any questions and was going to pay right then and there. I went through with the order anyway, and was told that after I approved the mock up that the invites would be ordered and that I would receive them within ten days. I received the mock up in a couple of days and immediately approved it; however, after waiting for 15 days, I called to check on my invitations. It was only then that I was told that the invites were back ordered. The next day, I received a call that the invites would no longer be an option because the company was not making them anymore. Shouldn't the store have known that when they placed the order? I came back in to try and pick something new, but when I suggested that they cover the cost of rushing the new invites, they said absolutely not. (I was four weeks away from the party at this point). They offered to rush the printing on their end but now the cost for the invites to get from company to store. I walked out. When I recounted my experience to friends in the area, they all had similar experiences with customer service. read more

Went there today and was met with the WORST customer service I have ever had. Absolutely terrible customer service, to the point of where I walked out and it ruined my experience of looking at wedding invitations. I wish the two people who worked there today realized that not only do they work in customer service, but they work in just being decent human beings. If I was their boss I would be truly upset to know that they are the face of my company and turning off so many good customers. I will NEVER shop here ever again and neither will any of my friends and family who I have warned to stay away from here. Please give your business to other places just down the block in which there is not only a MUCH larger selection, but also MUCH better customer service. While they have an extensive selection - buyer beware. I tried to work with them on a special item for my wedding, and before I knew it, I ended up with a stack of $50 index cards. We were supposed to receive a proof and an estimate, and instead, they placed an order for special stock without my ok. I am out $50 for nothing. read more

This store is pretty pricey for me, but I realize I should probably stop saying that because MOST stores are. But, for the price, they offer really gorgeous greeting cards, and I can only imagine that if I had had my wedding invitations done here, they would have been absolutely stunning. There are certain things that should be left to a intimate personal setting and done with a team that has been doing it for years....I know as my family and I always use them....and that is ordering invites for your special occasions as they are usually the first impression to the start of a successful event! I love Paper Caper as they are currently in the know of the trends-for instance I am doing my wedding invitations with them and was politely informed that if I WAIT until after they come back from a show that they would be current on what is going for the upcoming wedding season! As a pretty picky bride and obsessed with style me pretty etc this is what I want....Also, you would be surprised the ideas I have bounced off with staff and that they were able to help with ideas even if it meant not buying their paper goods but leading a direction-this to me screams ppl who care....This yelp is long overdue and I am happy to say that I found my invites for every special memory past, present, and future at paper caper...also learned supporting your small businesses is the best way to go...as ppl always tend to be more attentive and appreciate you coming thru-ALSO Pricing here is what you make of it....yes, if you want high end you got it...and if you are like me you are on a budget you got that too but I have never felt cheated just because I couldn't spend a grip-good work paper caper team! read more

This place is a small boutique, family owned company, only a few of these businesses remain on the AVE, since the landlords have become greedy and no one, aside from big box places can afford it. Im a firm believer of supporting the "mom and pop" places of the world. This place has been around for decades. Because I have frequented this store for decades myself, i have come to know the owners and staff well. The service is wonderful, and above all what they offer is A+. They go above and beyond than Papyrus or wherever else. They always get the job done and its done right. Plus they have a TON of options. From simple to utter elegance. I got my wedding invites custom done here. I had a vision and the owner made it happen, they are still talked about and it was 8 years ago. I also get bday invites. showers, you name it. Its my go-to place. Lets support the "little people".This avenue was once all of the mom and pops, its lost its charm and is just now full of pretentious, greedy people! What a cue little store it is! I accidentally ran into this store. A friend whom I was supposed to meet near this store was running late. So to kill my time I went into this store. They have so many little cute and yet practical items such as unique cards and notes. I ended up buying several sets of thank you cards. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. read more
