ordered the Pineapple and Ham pizza as part of the carry-out special for $10.25, and I added extra pepperoncinis, which are always a nice touch. This was my first time ordering from the Maitland location, and while the toppings were good, I found the crust to be tough--almost like it was overworked. It wasn't the usual soft and fluffy crust I've come to expect from Papa John's, so that was a bit disappointing. Ok, I just have to say that the crew at the location tonight absolutely killed it. I haven't had a pizza from Papa John's in a while's BUT after tonight... we will definitely order again! I placed a carry out order today and when I got there, I see a poor girl working by herself on a random Wednesday afternoon. She's pulling pizzas in the oven, making 5 more pizzas on top of that, fulfilling online orders for carry out and delivery, etc. The whole time, I, alongside two other customers are waiting for our orders to be handed to. I can see how overworked she is and how frustrated it must be to be by yourself with no help. The other customers start making a scene, and words get exchanged but all in all, I feel so sorry for the girl who was working on her own. She was on the verge of tears and I completely understand being understaffed and being overwhelmed and I'm extremely disappointed with management in this location to have witnessed a person flying solo when so much was happening all at once. That is not fair to put on so many responsibilities on a single person. What little shred of humanity do people have to not realize that?! I wasn't even mad at how long I waited despite my online order being ready 10 minutes prior to my arrival. She just couldn't easily stop what she was doing to hand the orders out as she was making an insane amount of pizzas. "WHERE IS EVERYONE???", I asked, but she said she was on her own. I called the store later on try to speak to a manager to share my experience and commend the worker but the same girl was the only one who answered and she had told me her name was Bre. I'm leaving this review because this girl deserves endless praise and an astounding RAISE. I can tell she was very overwhelmed so I was patient with how somewhat slow the service was. But anyone put under that pressure and ran through the gutter would easily be stressed and aggravated. She was doing her best despite no help at all. THE MANAGERS NEED TO DO BETTER! That's the first time I've ever seen someone work by themselves during busy times and it's not fair to your workers. DO better. When you have happier, more staffed team/crew members, the customers are happy and are served more efficiently. Overall, keep up the great work Bre! And thank you for being there. read more

My mom ordered a pizza and sent me and my sister to pick it up. The food was ready and piping hot when we arrived. As soon as the staff saw us, a cashier asked us the name of our order and handed us our food. They were courteous and prompt. If you are looking for a quick hot meal, this is perfect! Im disappointed in this Papa John's. I ordered the tucsan pan pizza, which is basically 5 cheese. I carryed out. My husband went in to pick up the pizza and neither of us checked it until we got home. Upon opening the box, i discovered that the sides were burned and the bottom was undercooked. I called them back and explained the situation. The guy who answered was polite and apologized, but said pan pizzas are difficult to cook because it doesnt always come out evenly and recommended that we switch it to hand toss. I declined that recommendation and said that I always order pan and its cooked fine. He said they will re cook it and will be ready within 15 min. Annoyed, i get back in the car and drive back. When i get there, i ask for a refund which he gave and i appreciated. 10 mins later, I get my pizza...and the edges are burned. I was over it by that time and took my pizza and left. Sadly, the pizza doesnt even look that appetizing and looks nothing like the picture advertised. Ive ordered 5 cheese pizza multiple times and im disappointed at how this came out, but i appreciate the willingness of the staff in trying to remedy the situation. read more

Place an order through the app and when I was complete with the order it said delivery should arrive in 100 to 110 minutes that is the longest I've ever heard it would take to deliver pizza. Good luck calling that place you'll never get through to anybody the one time I called the number was sent to a third party call center in India. read more

On Friday I was at a best friend's house and we decided to dine in so she called Papa John's to order a large pepperoni pizza, cheesy bread and a Pepsi ($30). Since it was nearly 6pm when we ordered it via her phone app it stated it would take about an hour, understandable since loads of folks were home and beginning to order food. Around 7:30 the pizza finally arrived and we dove in. The saltiness of the pepperoni was good on the two slices I ate, they had the right amount of cheese and sauce. Since it had taken time to arrive, probably due to several stops along the route, the crust had lost it's crunch and become more chewy. Now the cheesy bread was a true bust. The flavors simply were not there, I ate mine plain though I could have used the garlic sauce the pizza comes with or the red marinara sauce the bread comes with but I wanted to taste the cheese and bread instead. Meh, it fed the three of us but it left lots to be missed in the flavor. read more
