One day not too long ago, a flyer slid through our letter box. Normally, I toss these sorts of things directly in the bin but this flyer was different. It was nicely designed. Cute. Intriguing.
I picked up the flyer and brought it inside the flat for further review. Upon further review (a quick scan of Papa Chef's website and a notation that Papa Chef does not exist on Yelp), I became more intrigued. Curious. Excited. I showed the flyer to my husband when he got home from work. He too was intrigued, curious, and excited. He said, "I'm in. Let's order one night this week."
YES! Let's order one night this week!
And we did and the food was absolutely divine and ordering from Papa Chef once a week has become a part of our routine.
There are two things to note about Papa Chef.
1) Papa Chef is a food delivery company only - there isn't a physical restaurant.
2) There are a few rules to follow when ordering from Papa Chef which are atypical of standard takeaway establishments. These rules require a slight amount of planning but, I promise, your planning effort will be well worth it!
Papa Chef posts his weekly menu on his website and Facebook page on Sundays. I recommend reviewing the weekly menu on Sunday and selecting your day(s) to order.
Below are the rules for ordering.
1) The minimum order is for two people.
2) Orders must be placed between 8am and 3pm on the day of [your desired meal].
Ordering is super easy.
1) Call Papa Chef.
2) Provide some details such as address, number of meals, and time of delivery.
3) Anxiously await the piping hot delivery by Papa Chef himself at your designated time (between 5pm and 9pm) that evening.
Happiness and a full belly are guaranteed.
Papa Chef has filled a gap in our lives that we did not know existed. This gap comes forth when we don't want to physically go to a restaurant, we don't want to order cheap, greasy, and unhealthy takeaway, and we don't want to cook. Here exists the "I want to eat restaurant quality food in the comfort of my own living room while dressed in my pajamas" gap. Papa Chef to the rescue!
Papa Chef has also changed my mindset of French cuisine. Papa Chef cooks up rustic, hearty meals accompanied by a delectable dessert and fresh baked bread. His food is entirely too delicious for words.
