I mean, what are they lacking in order to earn that coveted star? But I guess I should count my fortune that it's not, otherwise I may not have been able to secure a seat or that their pricing is beyond my comfort level. All of that to say that the food this restaurant serves are outstanding! They offer some of the best Peruvian dishes I've ever had. The ceviche is a must order! Trust me on this and get it. Yes the presentations are stunning, but there are great flavors behind all of those layers and I thoroughly enjoyed every single dish.

The wasabi was fresh and not prepackaged, and sushi was delicious and the avocado crunchy rolls were perfection! The atmosphere here is like a home meal as it's pretty much a highly decorated attic - fantastic job by the interior decorator on this! And it is not in a nice neighborhood, anyway, Zurich is small. The place is kinda basic. Not really well decorated, kinda old fashion, .... I can live with that if the food is great and if the staff is really nice and helpfull. The staff was really mediocre. There were two guys for the service. But both kinda shy, quite and not very talkative. They were not selling there anything. I asked a few things on the menu, so they the opportunity to explain a bit more and to advice. I was actually hoping to see the Lola lady (the lady from the website). The food was OK, but not really overwhelming. Half of the stuff on the menu didn't seem to be authentic to me (hotdogs with french fries writtin in spanish doesn't make it more peruvian for me). I felt all the dishes were quite salty. Service should make more attention to guests after the meal was delivered as we needed spoon or wanted to order more drink, the server never came back till the next dish was served. If you are curious and in the neighborhood, maybe you can try here but I don't see big reason to make a trip out for this place

The restaurant itself was clean and there were precautions such as dividers between tables for COVID, which was great to see. I got the arroz de mariscos and the seafood tasted very fresh and it was perfectly cooked. We also had the causa de mariscos as an appetizer and it was also very delicious. It happened to be my brother and sister-in-law's wedding anniversary. The owner was kind enough to bring out a complimentary dessert for the table which was a very thoughtful gesture. Piscos Peruvian brandy is really tasty. Most importantly, the genuine kindness and pleasantry from the staff pushes this place to 5 stars.
