Visitors to Red Deer!!! As a visitor myself, it took me a few minutes to research and find the BEST pizza place in Red Deer. They don't do YELP typically in this city, so let's change that!! I'm sorry I did not take pictures. The pizza didn't last long enough for that. Hot wing lovers. I mean REAL hot wing lovers, not any of you amateurs that think you want to try the hottest of sauces. This place has a special suicide hot sauce for you. It consists of actual California Reaper peppers with a few of the house spices. As a specialist on "MELT YOUR FACE OFF" wings, they actually get a A-. Ridiculously spicey, hits you slowly, so you think, they're actually not that bad. By the time you've actually realized your mistake, it's already too late. Lol. As they personally wrote on my suicide wing box, "Good Luck". They dress the wings first and bake the sauce into the wings, so for the truly insane, ask for an extra dip in the lava bowl, so that you can abuse your mouth. The burn shouldn't stop for about an hour or so. Lol I'm sorry, back to the pizza. House made secret dough recipe developed by the founder. Aka 'Baldy', sadly lost a few years ago. However his beautiful wife and family continue to keep his tradition and recipes alive. Perfectly cooked base, with a healthy crust to finish off each slice for you. They will do ANY toppings that you have in mind on your pizza. Stock permitting if course, but I was also told of the staff running out to the grocery store to pick up really original toppings. Talking with the owner, she states that if you order it, we can make it. Just allow extra time for toppings not typically held in stock. WHICH IS AMAZING!!! What company does this anymore?? None that I know of in my home city of Edmonton. When they say that they have customers driving in from Edmonton and Calgary both for the pizza, I actually believe it. This pizza place also claims to deliver, Anywhere. For a price accordingly. I'm 1 Hour and 37 Minutes North, in Edmonton from them. If I can afford amazing pizza delivered, I'll order delivery soon and post my results here. In the meantime, highly recommended pizza place 5 minutes away from downtown Red Deer. Well worth the trip. You won't be disappointed. read more

My four year old is talking about Papa Baldy and Mrs. Baldy ever since our first visit. They won us with service. Happy to see owners in the kitchen. I expect good things to come. I am an extra cheese kinda guy, and their cheese is tasty. read more

Pizza and wings were just OK. I expected better based on the reviews, and would order elsewhere next time. I was quoted a different price on the phone than what the delivery guy charged. Please take wearing a face mask a bit more seriously as well. read more

We ordered here April 10 and was looking to change things up from our usual pizza spots. Was very happy with the quality of pizza we had. We found our new spot. The only thing I would say to do is if you order a cheese pizza put extra sauce on...but that's me reaching to find something wrong. Highly recommend this place. read more

We had heard about them in the news and were curious to give them a try. We ordered a classic pizza, a calzone and a donair to try their offerings. Everything was delicious ! The lady that took my order on the phone was very polite and offered good advice. They also have a nice selection of flavours of wings and house made dips to compliment their menu items. This will now be our go to stop for awesome eats when in Red Deer. If you are in the mood for some good fill your belly and make you happy eats make this your stop ! read more

Super cheesy , cooked perfectly very crunchy next best thing to homemade dough.. best local spot in town way better then all the crappy chain food pizza spots. read more

Good pizza looks like there's a minimum charge for delivery orders. 30$ they aren't quick to tell you that. If your buying delivery order for yourself be prepared to put out for what you don't get or buy more than what you need. ? Confused ? So was I. I ordered a medium pizza and a 2 lire of pop, three days later I ordered a large pizza and 2 litre of pop. Same price. Hmmmmm read more

Excellent choices, great pizza. Staff is very friendly and an easy app. Never crowded if you want to sit.

Wow! I'm so impressed with this local family owned business!!! Fresh made pizzas soooo delicious! Their dough is really good and they have quite a few "inventive" items like lasagne stuffed calzones! The owner and his wife are super friendly and the place has a good overall vibe! read more

First time trying the pizza here. Found the pizza to be average and was slightly disappointed based on some of the reviews that were posted here. Service was fantastic, food was ready quite quickly actually and the pizza had a generous amount of toppings and cheese, but was disappointed with the sauce as I found it to be a bit bland which is perhaps why I found the pizza to be average. read more

Delicious food. Amazing customer service. Take out is fast and food comes hot. Price isn't too bad especially considering their portion sizes. I ordered a regular donair and it was massive (and delicious)! I definitely recommend the Buffalo chicken pizza and their dry ribs. Tried their cinnamon sticks.... not very good. They should do something similar to what pizza hut does read more

This is the best pizza we've had in forever! In from out of town and wanting to support local. This joint delivered amazing pizza to our hotel and it was hot on arrival on a Saturday night during the playoffs. There was a stack of toppings and cheese. Highly recommend Papa Baldy's!!! read more

Best pizza I've had in Red Deer to date. Not only is the pizza great but the delivery driver (dumb me for forgetting her name) was awesome for delivering to Edgar ball diamonds where we were playing and camping. Great food and great service. read more

Very good , I had meat lovers and wings sent to my hotel . I asked for there regular crust ( not thin ) and it is actually a thick crust and that's what I like . Came fast and hot . Will order again . read more

I ordered the lasagna, and three pieces of garlic toast, and a large ham, and pineapple pizza. The lasagna was over cooked, dry, and no sauce. It had a few small tomatoes. The garlic toast was soggy. My pizza was made with thinly sliced ham, (lick a thin sliced sandwich meat). I have eaten there a few times, and it was usually great. read more

Pizza is very good. Crust is soft, sauce has a nice spice but a little too sweet. Good amount of cheese and toppings. A very good basic pizza. I would order here again for sure. read more

Rate zero if i could. Sounds like the owners a ### and thought well maybe hes got good food so i tried it. Three times sucked bad food too. All because of good reviews. Must be fake reviews read more

Great food and very affordable. The owners make you feel like family!

Dissapointing. We ordered 3 pizzas and wings. The pizza crust was doughy and the pepperoni was of low quality resembling baloney. Both the wet and dry wings were not very tasty. Try somewhere else. read more

Okay I've been looking for a great pizza place since moving to the city 2 years ago. This place has ended my search. The pizza was to die for. The crust was perfect, the pizza wasn't drowning in sauce, but had just the right amount to compliment the flavors of the toppings, not to mention the great flavor of the sauce (not too sweet, not too bitter). Oh did I mention the amount of toppings you get?? No, well you get your money's worth!!. I ordered the meat lovers and could only eat 1 slice it was so loaded. Well done Papa Baldy's, I will be back soon, to try some of your other menu items!! :) read more

Awesome service! Amazing pizza and even more amazing calzones. I have literally tried calzones all over the city and these are hands down my favorite! Locally owned and operated too, which is a huge bonus!! read more

Seem nice at first but they're horrible people... They don't know how to run a business, got rid of girl who was helping them run it.

Ordered for the first time from Papa Baldy's the other day, and it was disappointing. First of all, it took over an hour and 15 minutes to get here, and it was definitely over priced for the amount and quality ($70 for a couple large pizzas and wings). There were no deals on the menu, so you are forced to buy everything at full price. The crust was soggy and the wings weren't great either. The perogy pizza was literally a bunch of bland frozen hasbrowns on dough. Unless you're carbo loading for a marathon, don't get that one. The meat lovers one was fairly decent, and they were liberal with the cheese at least. Probably not going to order from here again. read more
