Took awhile for the food to come out (which was odd, we were one of two couples in the entire place). First came out complementary warm pretzels. They were delicious and came with a nice mustard dip. Nice change from the usual bread basket you get at restaurants. I have to say the food was in general, really good. My husband found the tomato sauce on the chicken a little odd tasting (I have to agree) but the portion was really large and the chicken was cooked correctly. Perhaps not flattened enough and the filling inside was a little skimpy but still good. My salmon was excellent. It was perfectly cooked and a lovely Cajun seasoning on it. The rice was decent, and the Brussel sprouts were AMAZING. If I come here again I will order a double portion. Tender, sautéed in butter with some walnuts and raisins. So lovely. No biggie - after inquiring, the gal behind the bar told us to take a menu and have a seat. Our party of three found a cute table, helped ourselves to some water and perused the menu. We waited a little uncomfortably long to be approached then found out it was the waitresses first day on the job and there was nobody there to assist her. She was waiting tables and making drinks from the extensive list of smoothies and coffees. About 20 minutes later, the manager or owner came rolling into the restaurant. We ordered the Kale Caesar and few different Avocado Toasts. My friends Caesar salad was meant to have tempeh on it but came out as basically greens with lemon juice squeezed on top for $17. The toasts were fine but nothing better than you could make at home. The salad was so disappointing that my friend actually kindly approached the owner/manager to let her know of the let down and asked about the tempeh. She was explained that they could no longer get tempeh from their supplier. Seemed like a pretty easy fix to reprint the paper menu. I think there is a market for these little plant based eateries and I want to see them succeed but this one was severely underwhelming.
