I've been going to Pantry 279 for about the past 6 years when times were needed. I've also received their Thanksgiving baskets which was remarkable with exactly what we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner. The efforts and work from Cindy Chavez and her team of organization of the pantry not only during the holidays but day to day living to help not only myself and my family but others as well has been outstanding with their kindness and concern about our community to help others. I have read some of the reviews that others has left and some I find astounding that they would feel the way they do only because their child didn't receive a 200-300 dollar phone for Christmas or their child's shoes was white instead of pink or black. I call things the way I see them......if ur that ungrateful for what these ppl go out of their way to do for u please save their time and efforts and not go back. And let them give ur gifts to a child who will be glad to get them. Cindy and her team of VOLUNTEERS works hard to do what they do so please be considerate to them and be happy for what u get. With this being said.........show them all some kindness, smiles and a kind word are all free!
